Intriguing Trailer for 1950s-Set Drama FINALLY DAWN Featuring Lily James, Joe Keery and Willem Dafoe — GeekTyrant

After a 2023 Venice Film Festival debut, Samuel Goldwyn Films has debuted the US trailer for the Italian film Finally Dawn , featuring the star-studded cast that includes Lily James, Willem Dafoe, Rachel Sennott, Joe Keery, Alba Rohrwacher, Michele Bravi, and Rebecca Antonaci. The film is written and directed by Saverio Costanzo ( Private , In Memory of Me , Auschwitz 2006 , In Treatment , My Brilliant Friend ).
The synopsis reads:
'Rome, 1953. The night after the murder of Wilma Montesi, several people linked to a sword-and-sandal film set in ancient Egypt that is being shot at Cinecittà find themselves sharing many moments: Mimosa (Rebecca Antonaci), a simple Roman girl, about to marry a man who is liked more by his family than by her, who initially showed up at Cinecittà only to be an extra; Josephine Esperanto (Lily James), the star of the film, a veteran of classic Hollywood who feels threatened by the new generation of 'naturalistic' actors represented by Sean Lockwood, another protagonist of the film; Rufus Priori, an American gallery owner & friend of Josephine's, who will lead the unlikely group on their journey throughout the night.'
This looks like an interesting original story. It debuted at a couple of film festivals in 2023, so it's weird we haven't heard more about it. But you'll have the chance to view it now, as it hits select US theaters and VOD on July 18th. Check out the trailer below:

Brad Pitt's Girlfriend Ines de Ramon Sticks to No-makeup Makeup Trend for ‘F1: The Movie' Premiere in London

Ines de Ramon sported a clean, even-toned visage next to Brad Pitt at the European premiere of his new film, 'F1: The Movie,' in London on Monday. The 32-year-old jewelry designer has been supporting the Oscar winner throughout the press tour for the upcoming movie, in which he stars as a former Formula 1 driver who cuts his retirement short to mentor a younger driver, played by actor Damson Idris. De Ramon's makeup was minimal, complete with a touch of bubblegum pink blush, a layer of shimmery shadow on her lids, and a glossy pale pink on her lips. Her face was lightly contoured, accentuating her natural jawline and cheekbones, with little to no added highlighter or bronzer. The shadow on her lids was cut by wings of hazy brown on the outer corners of her eyes. Meanwhile, de Ramon's brows were brushed and colored to match her inky black hair. Even de Ramon's hair was styled in an effortless 'do, comprised of bouncy waves and long layers. Her fashion, on the other hand, was anything but relaxed. The star wore a sequin-embroidered halterneck Fendi gown and a matching mini bag adorned with delicate crystal fringe to match the garment's reflective details. A fan of quiet beauty, De Ramon has collaborated with a roster of makeup artists to achieve a natural aesthetic for major red carpets. She notably collaborated with Liz Martins, beauty architect to Jared Leto, on her bare-faced approach for the Venice Film Festival last year. For the New York City 'F1: The Movie' premiere last week, de Ramon's ethereal baby blue, two-piece set plucked from Chanel's spring 2025 ready-to-wear was complemented by her soft glam. She wore coral-colored matte lipstick and bronze shadow in her eye crease, and her dark locks were pulled in a loose bun on top of her head with front pieces framing her face. Elsewhere on the London premiere red carpet, British music artist Raye debuted a dramatic hair transformation, dying her jet-black locks a light brown. The artist celebrated her new coloring by styling her short hair in a '50s-inspired flipped bob with a side part.
