Beauty fans praise foundation that 'lasts all day without needing a touch-up'
When it comes to brows, Anastasia Beverly Hills has dominated the market with their pencils, pomades and gels, with two whole pages of their website being dedicated to brows. But now, the beauty brand is hoping to convert shoppers to their complexion products with a brand new foundation launch that promises full coverage that lasts 'up to 12 hours'.
When it comes to base products, ABH has kept their collection pretty concise, with a concealer, setting spray, skin tint and a luminous foundation. The latest in the lineup, and the opposite side of the coin to the luminous foundation, is the Impeccable Blurring Second-Skin Matte Foundation, which while suitable for 'all skin types' - including sensitive - it's particularly great for anyone with an oilier complexion.
This foundation is said to be 'the ultimate multitasker' with a formula that not only blurs imperfections, but it also visibly evens skin tone and minimises the appearance of pores, fine lines, and wrinkles thanks to its Precision Blur Technology. It's water-resistant, long-wearing, and resistant to settling into fine lines, making it the perfect choice for long days or special occasions, promising medium to full coverage for up to 12 hours.
Some of the hero ingredients in the foundation include Bixa Orellana which smooths the skin's texture for a flawless finish, while Phytoglycogen helps to boost collagen production. This contributes to a radiant, youthful appearance as the foundation sits on the skin.
The formula also benefits from Liquiskin Complex, which enhances the foundation's performance, allowing it to seamlessly blend into your skin. The velvet-matte finish helps to control oil to keep wearers shine-free, but the inclusion of skincare favourite, hyaluronic acid, means skin stays hydrated and plump underneath. Looking at the reviews, though, shoppers with very oily skin have opted to set the foundation with powder for longer wear, while those with very dry skin found it to 'cling' to dry patches, even with sufficient skincare prep.
A medium to full-coverage, long-wearing formula that blurs pores, fine lines and wrinkles for up to 12 hours. Powered by Precision Blur Technology, this hydrating velvet-matte foundation features Hyaluronic Acid for a smooth, flawless finish and second-skin feel.
€49
Priced at €49, the foundation sits in the mid-luxury category and comes in 25 shades, which includes not just the usual warm, neutral and cool undertones, but also cool rosy, warm olive and warm peach. The shade range spans from fair to deep, though doesn't feature as many shades as their luminous foundation (42 shades).
For those looking for more shade inclusivity Fenty Beauty's €41.30 Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation is often considered one of the best brands for diversity, known for its extensive 49 shades and inclusive formulas. The Rihanna-owned cosmetics brand has been designed 'so that women everywhere would be included.' The popular medium to full-coverage foundation offers a soft matte finish and longwear which makes it perfect for filming. It even features climate-adaptive technology to 'fight heat, sweat and shine', ensuring wearers 'stay looking fresh morning or night'. For a more budget-friendly option, the L'Oréal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid 30ml and SPF comes in more than 30 shades and is priced at €14.15.
But, what's rather impressive about the Impeccable Blurring Second-Skin Matte Foundation from Anastasia Beverly Hills is that, since launching in January, it's already earned a 4.5 star rating on the Boots website, based on more than 2,000 reviews. Granted, a significant portion of those reviews were generated from Influenster - an app where shoppers receive free products in return for their honest opinion - and while they're incentivised, most of the feedback from fans has been positive but balanced.
One shopper commented on how it's great for the days you want to look full glam, but not as good for everyday wear, but still left five stars. They said: 'Wow, talk about full coverage! The Anastasia Beverly Hills Impeccable Blurring Foundation is perfect for those evening events where you need additional coverage. It is a thick, full-coverage matte foundation. I usually love full coverage foundations as my daily go-to, but this one is extremely full coverage, so I didn't feel comfortable using it daily. I still recommend it as it was easy to blend and photographs well.'
'Love this foundation for the days that I feel like getting glammed up, as someone who struggles with oily skin in her t-zone area this foundation is great for all day wear,' said another.
However, those with drier skin found it 'cakey' but agreed it has full coverage, commenting: 'While the packaging is beautiful, it did not do my skin justice. I have skin that's more on the dry side, and even after a skincare routine, it sits a bit cakey on my skin. The coverage is very full, and doesn't need building at all.'
A fourth added: 'The coverage was good but it felt very cakey. Too matte for my skin and had to put in extra work to blend. This was not it for me. I would not recommend.'
But other shoppers did find it easy to blend and not cakey, so it very much depends on your individual skin and texture. A fifth shopper wrote: 'This foundation feels like a soft blur on my skin. The texture is silky, super easy to blend, and it gives a beautiful second-skin matte finish without feeling heavy or cakey. I was also impressed with the shade range — I found my perfect match! It lasted all day without needing a touch-up, even through errands and mom life.'
It's also worth noting that the foundation is free from harmful ingredients like phthalates, mineral oil, silicones, sulfates, parabens, and fragrances and has been dermatologist-tested. It's also cruelty-free, which is something that many beauty lovers will appreciate.
Ideal for upcoming summer weddings and events, the Impeccable Blurring Second-Skin Matte Foundation is a stellar addition to the ABH lineup. Shoppers can pick it up here at Boots.

South Korea Election Results: Who is Lee Jae-myung, the presidential frontrunner?
South Korea will hold the final voting in a snap presidential election o June 3. Millions will vote to choose Yoon Suk Yeol's successor after the conservative was ousted over his imposition of martial law late last year. South Koreans overseas were allowed to vote early from May 20 to 25, BBC reported. South Korea election results are expected to come in after polls close — by the evening of June 3. The winner will likely be known in the early hours of the following day, June 4. Even though there are six candidates to choose from, the main contenders are Lee Jae-myung of the opposition Democratic Party of Korea (DP), and Kim Moon-soo of the governing conservative People Power Party (PPP). According to reports, Lee Jae-myung, a human rights lawyer-turned-politician, is the clear frontrunner. Surveys suggested liberal Lee Jae-Myung, 61, is heavily favored to win Tuesday's snap election, riding on a wave of public disappointment of Yoon's martial law debacle in December. Lee Jae-myung, for his part, has repeatedly questioned Kim Moon Soo's ties with Yoon. For the main conservative candidate, Kim Moon Soo, observers say his refusal to directly criticise Yoon made it difficult for him to narrow the gap with Lee, the Associated Press reported. In three Gallup Korea surveys released last week, 46% to 49% of respondents picked Lee as their choice for the next president, giving him a comfortable lead over Kim with 35% to 37%. Lee's rise comes as conservatives struggle to win back public confidence in the wake of Yoon's martial law decree that plunged the country into turmoil. Lee represents the main liberal Democratic Party. It will be Lee's third bid to run for president. He narrowly lost the 2022 election to Yoon. In 2017, Lee ranked third in a Democratic Party primary. He had spearheaded the opposition-controlled parliament's impeachment of Yoon over the imposition of martial law in December, before the Constitutional Court formally dismissed the latter in April. Yoon's dismissal prompted an early presidential election on June 3 to find a new president. According to the Associated Press, Lee has long established an image as an anti-establishment figure who can eliminate deep-rooted inequality and corruption in South Korea. However, his critics view him as a populist who relies on stoking divisions and demonising opponents and worry his rule would likely further polarise the country. Lee's life and works: In 1992, Lee married his wife Kim Hye-kyung, with whom he has two children. He worked as a human rights lawyer for almost two decades before entering politics in 2005. He had joined the social-liberal Uri Party -- a predecessor of the Democratic Party of Korea and the ruling party at the time. Lee previously served as the governor of South Korea's most populous province, Gyeonggi province, and the mayor of Seongnam city. Cases against Lee: Lee currently faces five trials for corruption and other criminal charges. If he becomes president, those trials will likely stop as he will enjoy special presidential immunity from most criminal charges. Lee's political career was reportedly marred by a series of scandals – including a drink driving incident in 2004, disputes with relatives in the late 2010s and allegations of an extramarital affair that emerged in 2018, BBC reported. Lee's foreign policy: The outcome of the 2025 South Korea election could reorient its approach towards North Korea. Accoridng to reports, Lee had earlier called for healing badly frayed ties with North Korea, saying peace can drive South Korea's economic growth. Lee promised to ease tensions with North Korea if elected, including by restoring a military hotline, and committed to maintaining the goal of eliminating nuclear weapons from the Korean Peninsula, Aljazeera reported. He also underscored the importance of a trilateral South Korea-US-Japan security partnership, saying it is crucial to maintain South Korea's alliance with the US and pursue security cooperation with Japan. Recently, Lee said that he thinks the US would pursue better ties with North Korea as a way to contain China and that such a stance would provide South Korea with diplomatic room to restore ties with the North. He has, however, pledged to prioritise 'national interests' and said there's 'no need to unnecessarily antagonise China or Russia', reports claimed.

Addressing the cast change, former Attitude cover star Gatwa said (as per The Independent): 'You know when you get cast, at some point, you are going to have to hand back that sonic screwdriver and it is all going to come to an end, but nothing quite prepares you for it. 'This journey has been one that I will never forget and a role that will be part of me forever. There are no words to describe what it feels like to be cast as the Doctor, nor are there words to explain what it feels like to be accepted into this iconic role that has existed for over 60 years and is truly loved by so many across the globe.' The 32-year-old went on: 'The fans are truly the final character and beating heart of this show and I can't thank the Whoniverse, and the Whovians, enough for welcoming me in, and making this such a touching experience. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ncuti Gatwa (@ncutigatwa) 'I've loved every minute of it, but now is the time to hand over the keys to that beloved blue box and let someone else take control and enjoy it every bit as much as I have. I'll truly miss it, and forever be grateful to it, and everyone that has played a part in my journey as the Doctor.' Speaking in an Instagram post, Gatwa also said: 'Monsters, goblins, gods, human-eating Slugs, invisible brain altering creatures, evil barbers, conspiracy theorists… you've had quite a busy two years. 'Billie once changed the whole of television, back in 2005, and now she's done it again!
