Banksy reveals lighthouse image in undisclosed location
Banksy has put an image of a lighthouse and the words 'I want to be what you see in me' in an undisclosed location.
The image on his Instagram has two older people walking their two dogs near the artwork, which is in black and white with the lighthouse tower shining outwards.
Another picture shows a blurred person riding a scooter and a graffiti tag close by the artwork.
The Bristol graffiti artist has seen his works fetch millions at auction, and led to speculation over his identity.

The latest work, revealed on Thursday, has a tag that seems to say Yaze, which is the mark used by Canadian graffiti artist Yaze, who also goes by the name Marco The Polo and cites Banksy as an inspiration.
The quote used by Banksy could also have been taken from a song by Tennessee-based country band Lonestar, called Softly, which features the lyric: 'I want to be what you see in me. I want to love you the way that you love me.'
Last year, London saw a swathe of animal-themed Banksy works including a rhino seemingly mounting a silver Nissan Micra, two elephant silhouettes with their trunks stretched out towards each other, and three monkeys that looked as though they were swinging on a bridge.
Since putting one of a gorilla lifting the shutter at London Zoo, Banksy has also posted another image, of a Madonna with baby Jesus and what looks like a bullet hole.
The lighthouse is his latest image.

Experts remove nearly 100 reptile eggs after record-setting discovery in residential backyard: 'Nested in burrows that were all interconnected'
A homeowner in Miami, Florida, recently made headlines after contacting Humane Iguana Control to remove iguana eggs she found in her backyard. Local news station Fox 35 reported that what they found was jaw-dropping. There were 98 iguana eggs in the backyard, which, for context, is a lot — it could be a new record. Technician Michael Ronquillo said, "Three female iguanas had nested in burrows that were all interconnected, and each had laid her own clutch." Iguanas, which are invasive to Florida, have a 93% hatch rate, meaning dozens of the eggs would have turned into destructive juveniles. Iguanas are a nuisance in Florida because they damage homes and infrastructure. They dig burrows that can weaken seawalls, sidewalks, and even dams — iguanas in West Palm Beach famously caused $1.8 million in damage to a dam. They're also aggressive and unsanitary, defecating near pools, schools, and playgrounds. "We get calls from schools where kids are playing under trees, and the iguanas are just up there … going to the bathroom. Constantly," Ronquillo said. These animals prey on native bird eggs, disrupting ecosystems. With Florida's warm climate and lack of predators, iguanas introduced in the 1960s have thrived. The population is now estimated to be over a million. One way to protect your landscaping and the ecosystem from invasive species is by rewilding your yard. Florida experts suggest planting native species that iguanas don't like, such as Coontie, Simpson's Stopper, muhly grass, beautyberry, and citrus trees. These native plants deter iguanas from eating up your landscaping and making a home in your backyard, and they support pollinators, which are essential for our food supply. Upgrading to a natural lawn and using climate-smart landscaping techniques like xeriscaping also saves homeowners money and time by slashing utility bills and requiring less maintenance. Even partial lawn replacements can cut back on maintenance costs and reduce your risk of becoming the next iguana nesting site. Commenters on social media were impressed with the work by Humane Iguana Control. One person on Instagram said, "Nice work!" Another added: "Awesome work you guys do. Very proud of everything you have accomplished." Should we be actively working to kill invasive species? 'We've been telling this story for nearly a decade now,' wrote Stranger Things co-creator Ross Duffer in the lengthy Instagram post. 'Many of our cast members joined us when they were kids, just ten or eleven years old. It wasn't just a show for them — it was a defining part of their childhood. They've grown up before our eyes, becoming more than actors—they've become family." He added: "But it's not just the cast we consider family. Our crew — many of whom have been with us from the very beginning — holds a special place in our hearts. Their dedication and passion have been the backbone of this journey. Everyone involved was determined to bring this story to a satisfying conclusion. They poured their hearts and souls into it, and we couldn't be more proud of what they've accomplished. We can't wait to share it with you all next year. Until then — over and out.'. 'Stranger Things' Season 5 Cast, Teaser Trailer Announced by Netflix first appeared on Men's Journal on May 31, 2025

Statement by Minister Guilbeault on Portuguese Heritage Month
The Government of Canada issues a statement to mark Portuguese Heritage Month OTTAWA, ON, June 1, 2025 /CNW/ - In June, we are pleased to mark Portuguese Heritage Month, an opportunity to celebrate the history and culture of the Luso-Canadian community, an integral part of our national fabric. Portuguese people have made Canada their home since the early 1950s—most of them from the Azores and Madeira—in search of a better life. Armed with their courage and will, they settled on Canadian soil to help create the country we cherish today. More than 500 years after the first Portuguese explorers set foot in Canada, there are now almost 500,000 people of Portuguese origin living here. Present in all our major cities, they form one of the largest Portuguese diasporas in the world. They also excel in a variety of fields; from education and politics to the arts, finance and community service, members of Luso-Canadian communities are making Canada stronger through their vitality and hard work. Throughout June, I invite everyone to celebrate the heritage and culture of Luso-Canadians and to mark Portugal Day on June 10. Dia de Portugal, de Camões e das Comunidades Portuguesas is the perfect time to reflect on what unites us and recognize just how significantly our fellow citizens of Portuguese origin have contributed to our culture and diversity. Happy Portuguese Heritage Month! SOURCE Canadian Heritage View original content:
