H.H. Sheikh Hamdan attends conclusion of multinational military drill

Sheikh Hamdan observed a series of coordinated air combat exercises, alongside Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Major General Staff Pilot Rashed Mohammed Al Shamsi, Commander of the UAE Air Force and Air Defence, and other senior officials.
The operations focused on enhancing combat readiness, precision tactics and cross-border coordination.

Ahmed bin Mohammed: UAE continues to advance global humanitarian mission
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Supreme Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, said that the UAE is built on values that prioritise human welfare and promote compassion, solidarity and fraternity. These values, he said, are deeply rooted across the country's government, institutions and society. His Highness noted that the UAE, through a firm belief in the unity of humankind, extends a helping hand to all without exception. Guided by the vision of its leadership, the country has become a global centre for humanitarian efforts, launching initiatives aimed at improving quality of life and promoting social wellbeing. For several consecutive years, the UAE has ranked first globally as the largest donor of humanitarian aid. His Highness made the remarks on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, observed annually on 19 August. HH Sheikh Ahmed said the occasion comes as the UAE continues to deliver its humanitarian mission across the world. He emphasised that the UAE has never hesitated to provide support to those in need, regardless of geography. The work of the country's humanitarian institutions is recognised both locally and internationally, as are the contributions of teams and individuals delivering vital services in remote and crisis-affected areas. Their efforts, grounded in the values and character of the Emirati people, have helped transform lives and bring hope to vulnerable communities. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed said: 'His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is the driving force behind pioneering global humanitarian initiatives that preserve human dignity and deliver lasting impact. Emirati humanitarian initiatives are marked by innovation and sustainability and are designed to empower individuals and support communities. MBRHE delivers housing support packages worth AED1.725 billion in the first half of 2025
In line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) has delivered more than AED1.725 billion worth of housing support packages to 3,027 beneficiaries in the first half of 2025. The figures reflect the Establishment's sustained efforts and unwavering commitment to enhancing family stability and overall quality of life for Emirati citizens. The housing support packages include 1,390 housing schemes valued at AED1.184 billion that extend support to citizens in building, maintaining, and purchasing homes. Additionally, 935 housing grants valued at AED540.3 million support home maintenance, construction, and ownership requests. Furthermore, 695 land grants have been facilitated under the packages as part of an integrated support system to enable citizens to own suitable homes. His Excellency Mohammed Hassan Al Shehhi, Acting CEO of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, affirmed that the achievements embody the leadership's vision of empowering citizens with high-quality housing solutions, stating: 'We are committed to translating the noble directives into tangible results by innovating a flexible and comprehensive housing system based on efficiency and service quality, contributing to higher levels of family and social stability.'
