Rams waive CB Derion Kendrick
Cornerback Derion Kendrick won't be heading to Hawaii with the Rams for next week's minicamp.
The Rams announced that they waived Kendrick on Friday afternoon. They signed veteran offensive tackle D.J. Humphries earlier in the day.
Kendrick was a 2022 sixth-round pick by the NFC West club. He started 18 of the 32 regular season games he played in his first two seasons, but missed all of last season after tearing his ACL early in training camp.
Kendrick had 49 tackles, three tackles for loss, an interception, and 14 passes defensed in those appearances. He also played in one playoff game after the 2023 season.

CBS shares prediction for Dolphins CB Jalen Ramsey's landing spot Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey didn't take part in Miami OTAs and was an excused absence from last week's mandatory minicamp as the franchise continues to seek a Ramsey trade partner. One of the most popular names has been the Los Angeles Rams and for good reason. The Rams have an aging, veteran quarterback in Matthew Stafford and the franchise wants to win right now. And, for Ramsey, reuniting with the Rams makes sense. Ramsey and Stafford and Co. won Super Bowl LVI together over the Cincinnati Bengals to cap the 2021 NFL season. The veteran corner is familiar with the Rams and with head coach Sean McVay. Plus, Ramsey was a Pro Bowler every season in Los Angeles and was a first-team All-Pro in 2020 and in 2021. But, in its look at the big-name holdouts and free agents during minicamps, CBS predicted a different landing spot for Ramsey. Just one year after landing a $74 million extension from the Miami Dolphins, Ramsey is fully anticipating a breakup as his AFC East squad rebuilds its defense. The seven-time Pro Bowler will likely fetch little more than a mid- to late-round draft pick in a trade given his age (30) and financial demands, but his wealth of both experience and attitude will convince someone to slot him in as a "missing piece" for 2025. A reunion with the Los Angeles Rams makes the most sense from a title-chasing perspective, but if it's compensation that ultimately seals the deal here, a move to Sin City feels right up Ramsey's alley; the Las Vegas Raiders are flush with salary cap space, and coach Pete Carroll is all about physical defense. - Cody Benjamin, CBS. Benjamin's projected compensation for the Dolphins was a 2026 fifth-round pick. Ramsey has said in the past that the Raiders were at the top of his list of potential destinations when he first left Jacksonville. The Raiders still have $36.1 million in effective cap space for the 2025 season and it wouldn't be shocking to want to pair superstar pass-rusher Maxx Crosby with a star like Ramsey on the back end. Ramsey signed a three-year, $72.3 million extension in September of last year. The 30-year-old defensive back is under contract through the 2028 NFL season when he carries a base salary of $21.1 million and a cap hit of $36.1 million.
