Ozzy Osbourne dies at the age of 76, family announces
He had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019.

As frontman of Black Sabbath, he was at the forefront of the heavy metal scene – a deeper, darker offshoot of hard rock.
His theatrical stage presence, including once biting off the head of a bat, and styling himself as the Prince of Darkness marked him out as a controversial figure.
Born John Michael Osbourne on December 3 1948 in Aston, Birmingham, he left school at 15 and did odd jobs including factory work before teaming up with school friend Geezer Butler in several bands.
Earlier this month he bid a farewell to fans with a Black Sabbath reunion, telling thousands of heavy metal enthusiasts at Villa Park, Birmingham – a stone's throw from where Black Sabbath was formed in 1968 – that it was 'so good to be on this stage' as he performed his last set from a large black throne.
Osbourne and his fellow original Black Sabbath members – Tony Iommi, Terence 'Geezer' Butler and Bill Ward – were the last to appear on stage as part of a star-studded line-up for the Back to the Beginning concert.
Also among the bands performing were Anthrax, Metallica and Guns N' Roses, and there were messages of thanks from other celebrities, including Jack Black, Ricky Gervais and Dolly Parton.

Black Sabbath's eponymous debut album in 1970 made the UK top 10 and paved the way for a string of hit records.
They went on to become one of the most influential and successful metal bands of all time, selling more than 75 million albums worldwide.
The group were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, and Osbourne was added for a second time last year.
He rose to further fame alongside his wife Sharon – whom he married in 1982 and with whom he has three children, Aimee, Jack and Kelly – through their reality TV series The Osbournes.

In 2020, Osbourne revealed he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and he paused touring in 2023 after extensive spinal surgery.
He had a fall at home in 2019 which aggravated injuries from a near-fatal quad bike crash in 2003, stopping his No More Tours 2 shows from going ahead in Europe and the UK.
The tour had previously been rescheduled several times because of illness, the Covid-19 pandemic and logistical issues.
He released his twelfth studio album Ordinary Man in 2020, followed by Patient Number 9 in 2022, which went to number three and two in the UK charts respectively.

The second episode aired tonight and within minutes, a further two celebrities ripped off their arm bands and called it quits. The stars were tasked with trekking up a hill, before taking on the challenge of hanging from a wire over a ravine. However, Love Island star Chloe Burrows struggled on the climb, having already told her co-stars that she was finding the demands of the show difficult. As she was berated by the Special Forces staff for her moaning noises, she ripped off her arm band and told them between gasps for breath: "I can't do it." The DS was furious and yelled: "Can't do what? We've walked 300 metres up a f***ing hill!" He then told Chloe she was "wasting a massive opportunity" but through her tears, she told him: "I'm done, I'm done." After handing over her arm band, she headed down the hill, chucking her water bottle before taking off her backpack and saying: "F*** off, this is the worst thing I have ever done in my whole life!" But Chloe wasn't alone for long, as within a minute she was joined by another former Love Islander. The group continued climbing the hill, and the DS drilled number 5 - Tasha Ghouri - telling her to "dig deep" as she lagged behind. Similar curbs were brought in for the Stop Crying Your Heart Out rockers' comeback performances in Manchester and Cardiff last month. Brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher are set to take to the stage at the home of Scottish rugby on Friday, Saturday and next Tuesday. And a source said: 'Banning drones above the gigs is the right move. "All it takes is something to go wrong or someone who doesn't know how to properly fly a drone to make a mistake. "If one falls into the crowd people could end up badly hurt.' A Civil Aviation Authority spokesman said the ban was 'in the public interest'. Up to 210,000 fans overall are expected to flock to the sold-out mega-gigs. They face strict rules with metal water bottles, hip flasks, large bags and umbrellas among banned items. And any louts found with knives, drugs and pyros will be reported to cops. The concerts coincide with the capital's world-famous Fringe arts bash of more than 3,800 shows. Police said a 'proportionate and considered plan' is in place' to keep visitors safe. A force spokesman added: 'We are working to ensure the safety of those attending events and minimise disruption.'

Jack Osbourne says he ‘doesn't have a great relationship' with older sister Aimee
Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's eldest daughter Aimee is known to lead a more private life and is not very close with her two siblings, Jack and Kelly. Jack Osbourne has candidly opened up about his relationship with his rarely seen older sister Aimee following their dad Ozzy Osbourne's death. The Prince of Darkness, who was a father-of-six, passed away at 76-years-old on July 22. A funeral cortege took place in his home city of Birmingham on July 30 before the rock icon was privately laid to rest in Buckinghamshire with Sir Elton John, Marilyn Manson and Youngblud all in attendance. The siblings reunited alongside their mother and Ozzy's beloved wife Sharon Osbourne as the family were snapped looking visibly emotional while they said their final goodbye to the Black Sabbath star. Aimee, 41, is the oldest Osbourne child but is the least known, after turning down the chance to star in the family's iconic reality show The Osbournes alongside her parents and two siblings. Instead Aimee chose to move out of their family home at just 16-years-old and pursue a music career instead. Jack, 39, who is just two years younger than Aimee, recently spoke about their relationship on the Disrespectfully podcast. He admitted that he and his older sister are 'not close at all'. Talking about her decision not to appear in their MTV show, which aired from 2002 until 2005, he said: "Back then she really wanted to be a musician and the kind of musician she wanted to be was like a Fiona Apple, Mazzy Star, like this kind of obscure, mysterious, moody… "And she deemed doing a show on MTV as low-hanging fruit. She was like, 'I'm not going to be seen riding coat-tails,' kind of thing, that's how she perceived it. "Once the show was hugely successful, I think she was kind of like, 'Well I can't now come on because I don't want to be seen even more so as jumping on the bandwagon'. And she dug her heels in and wanted to be relatively private and obscure." He went on to reiterate that they 'don't have a great relationship' as he opened up on the differences in their careers. He continued: "I've never asked her outright, 'Do you regret it'' I think there must be a level of like, 'Hey, my life would have probably been different than what it is if I'd done that', so I don't know, I think I would feel like I would have regretted it." Meanwhile Kelly, 40, previously said that she and Aimee also 'don't tall' after having a strained relationship over the years. During an interview on the Armchair Expert podcast in 2021, she said: "We're just really different. She doesn't understand me and I don't understand her". A year before, Aimee told New York's Q1043 Out of the Box how important privacy was for her after growing up with a famous father. She said: "For me, I had grown up around having a pretty well-known dad anyway, and … I always really valued my privacy within that family. "And for me personally, and for who I am, you know, as far as morally and also just to give myself a chance to actually develop into a human being as opposed to just being remembered for being a teenager, it didn't really line up with what I saw my future as." She continued: "It definitely worked great for the rest of my family, but for me, and who I am, I just knew it was never something that I would have been able to consider realistically." Sharon, 72, has previously opened up about her eldest child's decision to move out when she was just 16, which she said she now understands but admits it 'broke her heart'. She explained on The Talk: "I know that my eldest girl, Aimee, left home at 16 and she couldn't live in our house because we were filming and it drove her insane. "She felt too that she didn't want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea — it was appalling to her. And so she left at 16 and I regret every day that she did." "She was happy, but it broke my heart when she moved."
