‘We miss him' – Family's heartfelt tribute and plea after man's death two years ago
Damian Jackson was discovered at his flat at Regent Street, on July 25, 2023.
A Home Office post-mortem found that he died due to multiple injuries, and a murder investigation was launched.
Extensive and detailed enquiries by Lancashire Police's Force Major Incident Team have been ongoing since then.
Two years on, Damian's family paid a loving and emotional tribute to him and asked the Lancaster public for help in finding answers to his death.
His family said: 'This week marks two years since our beloved son and brother Damian was cruelly taken from us.
'Every day - and every week – brings more pain because we cannot see him again, however much we want one last hug or one last cup of tea together.
'Whoever murdered Damian is still out there. Please help us catch the coward who did this.
'You might know something unusual or something small about someone acting suspiciously. It would be the key to finding who murdered Damian.
'Please come forward if you know anything at all and tell the police immediately.
'Nothing can bring Damian back, but we still urgently need closure, and we wouldn't wish this to happen again, to another family.
'Damian loved Lancaster and the people of Lancaster.
'People of Lancaster please help us. We know you have the answers.'
The last confirmed sighting of Damian was at 10.18am on Sunday 23rd July 2023, at the Aldi store, Aldcliffe Road, Lancaster - the first image shows Damian shopping in the store.

Homicide investigation launched after man shot to death in La Puente
A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death in La Puente on Saturday. Deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of S. Shipman Avenue just before midnight after learning of the shooting, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The victim, who hasn't yet been identified, was declared dead at the scene, deputies said. There was no information provided on a motive or suspect in the shooting. New details released on man who disappeared after visiting Southern California coffee shop
New details were released on the search for a man who disappeared in 2023 after visiting a coffee shop in Southern California. Emilio Salem Ghanem, 42, of Nashville, was reported missing on May 25, 2023, after he visited a Starbucks on Redlands Boulevard in Redlands. He was driving a rented Nissan Frontier pickup truck that surveillance cameras captured later that day in Grand Terrace. However, that was the last time he was seen alive. Loved ones have not been able to reach him since and authorities have been working to find him. On Aug. 1, 2025, investigators confirmed that his rental truck had been located, along with other personal belongings and evidence. Ghanem, however, remains missing. Ghanem was a member of 'His Way Spirit Led Assemblies,' a religious organization based in Hemet. He had left that organization shortly before his disappearance, police said. He also worked for Fullshield, Inc., a pest control business that was owned and operated by the religious group. The business now operates under the name 'Maxguard,' according to detectives. Ghanem is described as a white man who stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He has hazel eyes and black hair. Redlands police also learned that another member of the religious group, Ruben Moreno, 49, was reported missing in August 2019 and hasn't been seen since. He is described as a Hispanic man who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.
