As part of its ongoing efforts to expand its network of routes around the world and meet the growing demand from customers, Kuwait Airways has announced the launch of its summer flight schedule for the 2025 season. The new schedule introduces a variety of varied destinations in the emerging markets, offering customers with new and diverse options. Kuwait Airways is focusing on destinations that witness high demand from valued customers from within the State of Kuwait, particularly during the summer season from June 2025 to September 2025. The company will launch several summer destinations, including to Moscow with four flights per week commencing from 6th June, Alexandria with three flights per week starting from 1st July, Luxor with three flights per week from 2nd July, Antalya with four flights per week starting from 2nd June, Bodrum with four flights per week starting from 2nd June, Trabzon with four flights per week starting from 1st June, Sharm El Sheikh with two flights per week starting from 4th June, Malaga with three flights per week starting from 5th June, Nice with two flights per week starting from 17th June, Salalah with four flights per week starting from 2nd June, Vienna with four flights per week starting from 1st June, and Kuala Lumpur with three flights per week starting from 1st June, bringing the number of destinations to 58 including the permanent destinations during the summer season for 2025.
Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan stated, 'Kuwait Airways is pleased to announce the launch of its summer 2025 destinations in response to the preferences of our valued passengers. The company, in cooperation with the relevant authorities and coordination with the operational departments, is preparing to welcome passengers at Terminal 4, ensuring they receive exceptional services with the utmost comfort. The fleet of the national carrier of the State of Kuwait is fully prepared to carry the esteemed passengers to various destinations around the world.'
Al-Fagaan stated, 'Due to the growth in passenger traffic during the summer season, Kuwait Airways recognized the need to increase the number of flights. The company has added flights to destinations such as London, increasing services to 16 flights per week, to meet the high demand for these European routes and to other popular summer destinations that have increasing demand. The company will operate its wide-body Boeing B777-300 aircraft to most European destinations, allowing our valued customers to enjoy the comfort of the distinguished Royal and Business Class seats, along with the latest amenities. This will also provide additional seat capacity for passengers traveling to these destinations.'
Al-Fagaan added, 'The launch of the summer destinations is proceeding according to the detailed plans and studies on the feasibility of these markets and destinations, the extent of customer demand for them, and their potential benefits to Kuwait Airways. The company is steadily advancing towards diversifying its global network and introducing new destinations. We are committed to meeting the requirements of our valued customers by offering new, unique, and exceptional services that keep pace with the latest trends in the global commercial air transport sector.'
Al-Fagaan pointed out that Kuwait Airways has made a significant leap by launching entirely new destinations and services. He noted that the company provides its valued customers with a variety of services such as the Home Check In service for Royal and First Class passengers, Limousine service for all premium classes, issuing Electronic Boarding Passes, Blue-Fi internet connection onboard, in addition to the Home Baggage delivery service.
Al-Fagaan stated that Kuwait Airways is actively enhancing and developing the company's website and electronic application, introducing a variety of features and services designed to simplify the booking process and save time, in line with the start of the summer season.
Al-Fagaan also urged passengers to begin booking and planning their trips early to benefit from selecting their preferred seats and to enjoy the services provided by Kuwait Airways on board its flights. He expressed his appreciation for the remarkable efforts of Kuwait Airways' dedicated employees, acknowledging their commitment to developing and improving the national carrier towards success, striving to reach new heights of quality, and ensuring the best possible services for the company's customers.
Al-Fagaan concluded his statement by noting that the Board of Directors has focused on developing policies and establishing new concepts for Kuwait Airways as the national carrier of the State of Kuwait. He emphasized that Kuwait Airways is a vital national entity, with its extensive history in the region, and reaffirmed the company's commitment to meeting the country's needs at all levels, whether through launching commercial flights for passengers or providing cargo services.

The partnership, announced at the International Air Transport Association Annual General Meeting in New Delhi, enables Etihad customers to connect seamlessly to key Japanese cities including Nagoya, Sapporo, and Fukuoka via Taipei, whilst offering STARLUX passengers direct access to Etihad's European network through Abu Dhabi. Etihad will launch daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Taipei on 7 September 2025, operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The new route creates the foundation for the codeshare partnership, positioning Taipei as a gateway for Etihad's expansion into Northeast Asia. Etihad customers booking through and the airline's mobile app will benefit from streamlined travel with single-ticket bookings, coordinated check-in processes, and automatic baggage transfers to final destinations across STARLUX's Asia-Pacific network. The agreement also opens new pathways for STARLUX passengers to reach European destinations including Prague, Madrid, and Barcelona via Abu Dhabi, positioning the emirate as an attractive transit hub for Asian travellers bound for Europe. Both airlines will launch joint marketing initiatives in Taiwan and establish a reciprocal frequent flyer programme by year-end, allowing Etihad Guest members to earn and redeem miles across both networks.
