All five seasons of a hit US medical drama are now available to stream on the platform
A "hidden gem" medical drama that had fans "hooked" is now streaming on Prime Video.
Based on Eric Manheimer's 2012 memoir, New Amsterdam follows the journey of Dr Max Goodwin (played by Ryan Eggold) as he takes on the role of medical director at one of America's oldest public hospitals.

In his new position, Max is determined to overhaul the neglected institution, cutting through red tape to deliver outstanding care to patients.

The series, which debuted in 2018, also features Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher, Tyler Labine and Sandra Mae Frank.
After a successful four-year run on NBC, it was revealed in 2022 that the show would conclude with its fifth season, comprising 13 episodes, reports Surrey Live.

New Amsterdam can already be streamed in its entirety on Netflix, Sky and NOW, but now all five seasons have been added to Prime Video as well.
If you're new or haven't held a Prime membership for a full year, you can get a 30-day free trial of the complete Prime service (not just Prime Video) directly from Amazon.
Pricing in the UK stands at £8.99 per month or £95 per year. To enjoy the premium ad-free service, you'll need to shell out an additional £2.99 per month.

Throughout its original run, New Amsterdam garnered mixed reviews from critics, who felt the show didn't push any boundaries.
However, its audience was much more enthusiastic, with many preferring the drama over its medical rival Grey's Anatomy.

"I was impressed by the social commentary in the writing! Well acted. All the usual obvious stuff but a few hidden gems for the few who still want to enjoy a show about life," one viewer penned on IMDb.
Another chimed in: "This show looks at the human side of medicine and that is refreshing. In my opinion, it's better than Grey's Anatomy."
A third shared: "Finally a medical drama without the usual drama. It's not about the endless romance between the doctors and nurses, it is really focused about the medical aspect of the hospital. The characters are very refreshing and particularly Ryan Eggold is so endearing in his first remarkable role."
Echoing the sentiment, a fourth fan wrote: "One of the best medical dramas I've seen. It had me hooked from the first episode."

'Woke' Netflix bosses axe iconic scene from Pride and Prejudice remake to 'avoid objectifying men'

Netflix bosses have axed an iconic moment from Pride and Prejudice in a new 'woke' move to avoid 'objectifying men'. The unforgettable scene of Mr Darcy - played by Colin Firth - emerging from a lake was all the rage in 1995. But show bosses have confirmed it will not resurface in the forthcoming version of the rom-com. According to reports, many fans will be disappointed as the famous BBC scene is said to have 'got millions of women hot under the collar'. A source told The Sun: 'It is also credited for sparking subsequent moments of male objectification on screen - likes Aidan Turner's famous topless scything scene in Poldark.' It's claimed that Netflix bosses 'don't want a repeat'. The saucy scene soon became one of the most favourite TV scenes, however it didn't actually feature in Jane Austen's original 1813 story. Arguably the most iconic wet shirt ever worn sold at auction for £25,000 - double its estimated sale price. The famous scene turned Oscar-winner Firth into a sex symbol and also rocketed the shirt's sale price 30 years later, after auctioneers estimated it would be sold for between £7,000 and £10,000. The sale contained costumes archived by Cosprop, a costume house founded by Oscar-winning designer John Bright in 1965. Oscar-winner Firth played Fitzwilliam Darcy in the 1995 BBC adaptation of Jane Austen's novel, opposite Jennifer Ehle as Elizabeth Bennet - who is surprised when she visits his estate, Pemberley, to find him wet and not properly dressed. The moment has been re-imagined in Netflix series Bridgerton, when British actor Jonathan Bailey steps out of a lake, and was also referenced in Bridget Jones's Diary, which stars Firth as another Mr Darcy, a nod to his portrayal by writer Helen Fielding. The famous 'wet shirt' was designed by renowned costume designer Dinah Collin and then made by Cosprop. Cosprop's general manager Chris Garlick said multiple versions of the shirt were made as it was worn in wet and dry scenes, and in case of re-takes. The whereabouts of three fully verified shirts are known, according to Kerry Taylor. Almost 30 years after the scene first aired, the now dry shirt was sold for a hammer price of £20,000, with the buyer's premium of £5,000 taking the overall total to £25,000, all of which will go to charity. Costumes from TV drama series including Poldark, Peaky Blinders and Downton Abbey also went under the hammer.

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury look loved-up as they enjoy family getaway with daughter Bambi, two, in the Isle of Man

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury looked every inch the happy family as they enjoyed a family getaway with daughter Bambi in the Isle of Man on Sunday. The boxer and the Maebe founder, both 26, who met on Love Island in 2019, split last August after five years together but have since reconciled. Molly-Mae posted sweet snaps on Instagram on Sunday of Tommy driving to the destination. The businesswoman looked happier than ever as she spent quality time with Bambi, two, and Tommy. The former Love Island star revealed she started shooting the second season of her documentary series, Behind It All, last month. The Prime Video series saw the influencer give fans a glimpse into her life, from running her clothing brand to parenting Bambi. MailOnline revealed last month that the boxer still won't appear on her docuseries, despite the couple being back together. It was previously confirmed that Tommy is unable to show his face on the Prime Video series due to his contractual agreements with the BBC as he films documentary The Good, The Bad, The Fury, set for release later this year. Molly-Mae confirmed Behind It All would return for a second season last month, after the first became a viral hit at the start of the year. Writing on Instagram, she gushed: 'My mood because it's filming day ONE for SEASON 2!!! 'I can't believe I'm saying this but because of all of your love and support with 'Molly-Mae: Behind It All'… we are coming BACK with another season! Pinch me.' A TV source explained to MailOnline that the second series will be less 'relationship focused' as Molly continues to build her 'business empire' and navigate family dilemmas with mother Deborah and sister Zoe. An insider said: 'Molly-Mae was over the moon that Behind It All was so well received and popular among her fanbase, she's more than happy to continue sharing more personal aspects of her life with the cameras. 'This season will be as jam-packed as the last, with Molly testing living arrangements, taking on challenges, and making some life altering decisions, all while managing her business ventures. Molly confirmed Behind It All would return for a second season last month, after the first became a viral hit at the start of the year 'Viewers shouldn't expect to see Tommy on the show because he still won't appear even though him and Molly are very much together now.' The debut six-part docuseries became the streamer's most watched show on Prime Video by young women aged 18-34. It followed Molly-Mae as she navigated her public breakup from Tommy, who later revealed the reason for their split was because he had been struggling with alcohol addiction. It also tracked the launch of Maebe, Molly-Mae's first fashion brand, and her complicated relationship with sister Zoe, who felt protective over the YouTuber getting back with Tommy before they had properly worked through their issues.
