He was taken off the track on a backboard and to the hospital via ambulance. Later on Saturday, Zilisch took to social media and said he did not have a head injury as feared.
'Thank you everybody for reaching out today. I'm out of the hospital and getting better already,' he posted to X. 'Thankfully, CT scans for my head are clear, I just have a broken collarbone. Thankful for all the medics for quick attention and grateful it wasn't any worse.'
The win was the sixth of the season for Zilisch. He was due to drive in the Go Bowling at The Glen on Sunday afternoon, but Trackhouse Racing announced that Zilisch's No 87 Chevrolet had been withdrawn.
Nascar confirmed he was 'awake and alert' as he was receiving medical attention.
Zilisch had a busy weekend planned at New York's Watkins Glen. He finished eighth on Friday in the Truck Series competition and qualified 25th for the Cup Series race.
It is expected Zilisch, a North Carolina native, will move full-time to the Cup Series in 2026.

Tesla's North American director of service leaves EV maker
Aug 11 (Reuters) - Piero Landolfi, Tesla's (TSLA.O), opens new tab director of service for the North American market has left the EV maker after nearly nine years, joining an exodus of executives from the company grappling with a drop in sales. Leaving Tesla was hard due to "the first principle thinking and the getting stuff done mentality" at the company, Landolfi said in a LinkedIn post on Sunday. Landolfi has now joined AI robotics and autonomous e-commerce technology company Nimble as its senior vice president of operations, per his LinkedIn profile. His move is the latest of a string of departures from the electric carmaker, joining Troy Jones, Tesla's top sales executive in North America, who left in July after 15 years with the company. Raj Jegannathan, a senior executive with a wide purview including several IT and data functions, recently took over the sales role, Reuters reported exclusively last month. Other key figures who left include Omead Afshar, Tesla CEO Elon Musk's confidant, who was in charge of sales and manufacturing operations in North America and Europe. Milan Kovac, the head of Tesla's Optimus humanoid robot team, announced he was leaving in June. Other recent departures include top battery executive Vineet Mehta and software chief David Lau. Musk's EV maker posted the worst quarterly sales decline in more than a decade and profit that missed Wall Street targets in July; its profit margin on making cars, however, was better than many feared. Musk had said that U.S. government cuts in support for EV makers could lead to a "few rough quarters" for Tesla, before a wave of revenue from self-driving software and services begins late next year.

Chiefs DE Janarius Robinson out with fractured foot
August 11 - Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Janarius Robinson sustained a fractured foot in Saturday's preseason loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Head coach Andy Reid confirmed the injury on Monday but did not provide a timeline for Robinson's return. Likely in a related move, the Chiefs signed defensive end Nate Matlack ahead of Monday morning's practice. Robinson, 26, sacked Cardinals quarterback Clayton Tune for a 9-yard loss in Saturday's 20-17 defeat in Glendale, Ariz. A fourth-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 2021, Robinson signed with the Chiefs in April. He played in 16 games (three starts) for the Las Vegas Raiders from 2023-24, recording 1.5 sacks and 13 tackles. The Chiefs also lost safety Deon Bush to a torn Achilles on Saturday. Kansas City is also dealing with injuries to wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown (ankle), cornerback Jaylen Watson (concussion protocol), offensive lineman Ethan Driskell (appendectomy) and tight end Jake Briningstool (hamstring). --Field Level Media

Dave Portnoy mocked for 'wild' take on first college football rankings of the season
Barstool boss Dave Portnoy has been thoroughly mocked on social media for his 'wild' pro-Michigan take on the first college football rankings of the season. The Wolverines were ranked No 14 in the nation in the Associated Press poll, a great mark for most teams. Portnoy took issue with being 11 spots behind Ohio State and six in back of Alabama, with Michigan defeated both teams last season. 'How many years in a row does Michigan have to drub Ohio and Bama before we're ranked ahead of them?' Portnoy wrote on X. Even with Portnoy's facts, Alabama brings in one of the most talented recruiting classes in the country to an already deep team and Ohio State won the national championship. The context of judging results other than when schools play Michigan led Portnoy to being roasted online. Barstool boss Dave Portnoy has been mocked on social media for his 'wild' pro-Michigan take Portnoy wondered why Michigan was ranked behind both Ohio State and Alabama on Monday 'Wild that this guy is now a national college football "analyst,"' said one college football fan, speaking on Portnoy being hired by Fox Sports for its Saturday studio shows. 'Who won the Natty last year?' a second fan added. 'Pretty much only when you are cheating... But hey whose counting?' a third said, with a jab about Michigan's 2023 national title coming under massive controversy. 'What's a 7-5 team usually ranked?' a fourth stated. 'Illinois spanked Michigan so are you saying Illinois should be ahead of OSU and Bama as well?' a fifth continued, with a mention of the No 12 Illini. 'I think winning a championship once every 25 years is probably hurting your overall optics. Your football team is basically a smarter Oklahoma,' a sixth concluded. A collection of social-media messages talking about Dave Portnoy's opinion on Michigan Texas was unsurprisingly named the top team in the poll with plenty of hype surrounding Arch Manning's first full season as the Longhorns' starter. Penn State, Ohio State, Clemson, and Georgia round out the top five, with Notre Dame and Oregon right behind. Arizona, Illinois, and South Carolina hold the three spots right in front of Michigan. The Wolverines' Week 2 opponent, Oklahoma, is ranked No 18 in the poll, while they lost to Indiana last season, who comes in at No 20.
