Claire Sweeney reveals shock injury as she shares photograph of her very bruised and swollen ankle

Claire Sweeney has detailed her unfortunate health woes as she shared a photograph of her very painful-looking injury.
The Coronation Street star, 54, took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday to reveal that she had injured her ankle in a mystery accident.
She posted a photograph of her very bruised and swollen ankle, though she did not disclose how serious the injury was or how she did it.
In a caption, the Brookside actress admitted that everything had gone 'wrong' for her as she detailed her unfortunate woes.
'Does anyone else have one of those weeks when everything goes wrong. Mine started like this,' she penned.
Daily Mail has contacted Claire for further comment.
In recent days, Claire has been enjoying a relaxing getaway in Mallorca with pals Linda Robson, Bruno Tonioli, Lesley Joseph and Charlie Brooks.
It is not known whether Claire sustained her injury on the trip or whether she is still on her holidays.
Loose Women star Linda, 67, took to Instagram on Wednesday - just hours before Claire detailed her health woes - to document their sun-soaked trip.
In one photo, she relaxed by the pool alongside former Strictly judge Bruno, 69, and her Birds Of A Feather co-star Lesley, 79.
In another, the group all beamed from ear to ear as they enjoyed lunch together.
Other snaps saw Linda and Lesley linking arms going down a set of steps while another saw Linda enjoying a drink at the Club Pollenca venue.
Alongside the post, she wrote: 'Had an amazing trip to Majorca thanks @jwponstage for a wonderful days with lovely friends.'
Claire is well-known for her portrayal of Cassie Plummer in Coronation Street, a role she has undertaken since 2023.
She also famously played Lindsey Corkhill on Channel 4's Brookside and has starred in theatre shows including Chicago, Guys and Dolls and Legally Blonde.
But in March, Claire parted ways with her agent Melanie Blake after she publicly called for one of her Coronation Street co-stars to be axed from the ITV show.
Claire loyally stood by friend Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria in the soap, after Her representative took to social media to say she should be dropped from the show.
Back in January, when the show was going through a cash crisis and speculation was rife that cast members were up for the chop, Melanie asked her Twitter followers who they thought should be axed before adding that her top choice would be Samia's character Maria Connor.
Samia, 42, who will celebrate 25 years playing Maria Connor in May, was left shocked and upset by the stark comment.
While her cast and crew mates were in disbelief that a top talent agent who looks after predominantly female soap stars would start a social media pile on.
Daily Mail then revealed that Claire split from Melanie following the tweet and the pair unfollowed each other on social media.
A source said: 'Everyone was talking about what Melanie did to Samia - it was the talk of the green room.
In January, Melanie asked her Twitter followers who they thought should be axed before adding that her top choice would be Samia's character Maria Connor
'There was a lot of shock and disbelief that someone's agent would behave like that so publicly especially when the show was going through a tricky time.
'Samia is a really popular member of the cast, and is genuinely one of the nicest actresses on the show. She did not deserve any of it.'
Claire told Corrie insiders that she dumped Melanie, however, Melanie told MailOnline that it was her decision to part company.
She said: 'We made a decision to cut our entire Coronation cast list as we are downsizing the soaps list as I am going to be working in Australia.'

Metal band cancel entire tour as they pull out of festival at last minute

A METAL band has cancelled their entire tour and pulled out of a festival at last minute. They were founded in 2005 and are known for their rap and nu metal musical influences. 1 Attila announced today that they have cancelled their European tour which was scheduled to kick off yesterday at Full Rewind Festival in Löbnitz, DE. The band took to their official Instagram account and shared a message regarding the last minute cancellation. The post said: "We'd like to sincerely apologize to our fans first and foremost. "We never intended on cancelling our 2025 European run but over the past couple years Attila and its crew have been put in situations that are volatile to not only our mental but individual health. "In return these scenarios have led us to set boundaries as humans beings as well as a functioning business. "We flew the entire band and crew all the way to Europe only to find out less than twenty four hours before our first show these boundaries were crossed again. "We are not here to speak negatively about any individual or company. "However, we have to stand up for ourselves and, more importantly, for the people who work hard to make Attila run smoothly. "Moving forward we are going to take the necessary measures to make sure nothing like this ever happens again. "We can only hope you understand and respect our decision." Attila Bad Habits Official Music Video One fan replied on Frontman Chris Fronzak's twitter account and said: "Not sharing any details will leave room for this to be interpreted as diva behavior for someone not meeting some arbitrary ask. "Not saying it is, but the people being let down deserve SOME kind of info." Frank replied: "I think this is plenty of info without throwing a certain "company" under the bus. "But let's just say that we (Attila) did every single thing right, showed up to Germany, & got absolutely f****d over day 1. "We're not dealing with anybody's bull***t anymore- we simply don't have to." Another fan responded: "F**k Fronz, that's ****ing terrible, recoup, reassess and rebuild, what a s***show for you guys."
