Panchayat 4: Jitendra Kumar Opens Up On Show's Success, Says 'I Was Not Sure...'
Sachiv ji aka Jitendra Kumar reflects on Panchayat's journey and the overwhelming love the series has received.
Jitendra Kumar has opened up about the success of his much-loved show Panchayat. Days after season four of the show premiered on Prime Video, the actor, who plays the role of Sachiv Ji, has now shared that he is overwhelmed with the response the web series has been getting. Kumar admitted that he wasn't sure about Panchayat's success when the first season was released, but shared that four seasons now prove that the audience is loving it.
'The very fact that we are here with a fourth season of Panchayat, is a reflection of the incredible love and appreciation we've received from audiences across the globe. When the first season premiered, I was genuinely not sure how people would respond to its tone and setting. But the warmth and positivity that followed were beyond anything we imagined. Since then, we've simply continued telling this heartfelt village story– and the audience has stood by us, season after season," Jitendra Kumar said.
'Panchayat's success isn't just ours to celebrate—it belongs to every single viewer who found joy, comfort, and connection in its world. . It's a collective celebration—not just of the franchise, but of the entire team, and the many talented actors who were recognised and appreciated through this show. Truly, it takes a village to bring Panchayat to life," the actor added.
Panchayat 4 picks up in Phulera as two strong-headed women, Manju Devi and Kranti Devi, go head-to-head in the local elections. What follows is a chaotic campaign led largely by their husbands, Brij Bhushan (Pradhan ji) and Banrakas. With tricks, taunts and an all-out village spectacle, the election dominates the season's storyline.
Panchayat 4 received mixed reviews from all. News18 Showsha gave the show a 4-star rating. 'The biggest letdown this season is the sluggish pacing and narrow focus. The entire narrative revolves around the election battle, with little to no development in the other subplots that once gave Panchayat its layered charm. We're left waiting until the second half of the final episode just to find out the election results, by then, the excitement has long worn off," a part of our review read.
Panchayat 4 is now streaming on Prime Video.

I'm a physical storyteller: John Cena on 'Heads of State' and his love for action-comedy genre
Action comedy is the language of the world and has been popular since the era of Charlie Chaplin, says Hollywood star John Cena , who considers himself a physical storyteller. "Heads of State", his latest movie on Prime Video, offers another glimpse into the niche that Cena has created for himself in the realm of physical comedy, where he often blends his imposing presence with a sense of humour. In the past, the WWE wrestler-turned-actor has showcased his impeccable comic timing in films and shows such as "The Suicide Squad", "Blockers", "Peacemaker", "Trainwreck" and "Ricky Stanicky". "I'm a physical storyteller. WWE is entertainment through physical stories. And what I love the most about action comedy is that it's the language of the world. It explains the success of the greats like Jackie Chan, even Charlie Chaplin -- before there were words in the movies. It is truly the language of the world," Cena told PTI in an interview. "Heads of State", which premiered on streaming service Prime Video on Wednesday, is directed by Ilya Naishuller of "Nobody" fame. The movie reunites Cena with his "The Suicide Squad" co-star Idris Elba and also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas in a pivotal role. In the movie, Cena plays the role of Will Derringer, a former action star who becomes the President of the United States. Elba portrays Sam Clarke, the British Prime Minister. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 'I couldn't hear my grandchildren anymore...' – Find out how she did it. Hearing Magazine Undo Cena said he loved working on "Heads of State" as it allowed him to display the skills he has learned over the years. "Being able to take the skills that I've learned as a physical storyteller and modify my skill set to be on screen, I love 'Heads of State' because even if you don't understand what we're saying, you get the story and the action. Then you share the laughs... that's why I lean into action comedy," he added. The movie also takes forward Cena's chemistry with Elba, which they established in James Gunn's "The Suicide Squad" (2021). While Cena's Derringer comes across as impulsive and chaotic, Elba's Clarke is more controlled and straightforward in showcasing his authority in the movie. Cena credited the writers, Josh Appelbaum & Andre Nemec and Harrison Query, for establishing their dynamics on paper for "Heads of State". "Writers write good stories, well-thought out stories. I don't commit to projects unless I read it. James Gunn is the only cold-call. If he says we are getting the band back together, it is a yes and I read it afterwards. Every other project I want to read," he said. Priyanka Chopra Shares Fun BTS Moments with John Cena & Idris Elba from 'Heads of State' A good story has layered characters and is "brave enough to lean into the flaws", he added. "Every character has to be flawed because then you want to root for them. If a character is too tough, too perfect, with no shortcomings, you don't want to root for that guy. So I think it's just being brave enough to lean into the words of a good writer," Cena said. According to Cena, one of the joys of working in the world of entertainment is getting to meet new people with every project. In the case of "Heads of State", it was an opportunity to collaborate with Priyanka , an actor who began her journey around the same time as Cena in the early 2000s. In the movie, Priyanka essays the role of MI6 agent Noel Bisset "That's what's brilliant about being in the creative business... you never know who you're going to meet. You never know the experiences you'll have, and I just try to do my best, to be decent to work with, and in the downtimes, share moments that can make us connect more. "And we certainly did that in this movie. And for that, I'm grateful," he said. "Heads of State" also stars Paddy Considine, Stephen Root , Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid and Sarah Niles. The movie is produced by Peter Safran and John Rickard. Cena and Elba also serve as executive producers.

Priyanka Chopra reveals mandatory Sunday snuggle tradition with Nick Jonas, daughter Malti
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 5 (ANI): Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas has revealed one of her favourite traditions that keeps her grounded amidst her busy schedule. In a candid conversation with People magazine, Priyanka shared that every Sunday morning, she and her family make time for a ritual that she describes as "mandatory." "Sunday morning snuggles in bed," the 'Heads of State' actress told People magazine, adding, "They have to happen. It's mandatory." Despite her demanding work commitments, the actress ensures that this intimate family time is never missed. "Seven am, but we got 'em in," she said, speaking about the cherished moments she spends with her husband, Nick Jonas, and their 3-year-old daughter, Malti Marie. When asked about what brings her the most peace, Priyanka said, "Being home with my family.... The biggest luxury in our lives is being able to waste time together or spend time together and just be languid in it and not worry about having to go somewhere." She went on to describe her love for quiet moments, including her "guilty pleasure" of unwinding during those rare periods of stillness. "That one hour you might get when it's quiet in the house and you get to watch Love Island's new season with a glass of wine or maybe even a book, when I am supposed to be reading my scripts," she added, illustrating how important downtime is to her. But it's not just the serene mornings that Priyanka values. She also shared a humorous yet relatable tradition from her household, midnight snacking. "I do scavenge the fridge at night. I am that person... a big snacker," she admitted during a conversation with People magazine. However, she has a strategic approach to her late-night snack sessions. "I want to make sure I get the snack scavenging in while everyone's distracted with the movie because you can't do it after. If you do it after, there's too much attention on you, 'What are you eating?' And then everybody wants to eat and it becomes a meal and then I'm heating up food. You've got to sneak out during a really important part of the movie. So that's what I do," she said. Priyanka, who is currently starring in the action-comedy 'Heads of State', balances her career and family life effortlessly. In the film, she portrays an MI6 agent alongside John Cena, who plays the US president, and Idris Elba as the UK prime minister. The Ilya Naishuller-directed movie, which also stars Jack Quaid, Sarah Niles, and Carla Gugino, is now available for streaming on Prime Video. (ANI)

Harsh Gujral On Jannat Zubair's Gameplay In The Traitors: ‘She Is Really Smart'
While many people had suspected Harsh of being the traitor, it was Jannat Zubair who had her doubts first. Stand-up comedian Harsh Gujral, who was part of the debut season of Karan Johar's Traitors India on Prime Video, opened up about his experience on the show and had kind words for fellow contestant Jannat Zubair. The show wrapped up with Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther emerging as the winners out of 20 contestants. Harsh, who was revealed to be one of the traitors, was eliminated just before the finale. Reflecting on the game, he acknowledged Jannat Zubair for her sharp instincts, noting that she was among the first to suspect his true role and praised her for her intelligence and gameplay. A clip from Viral Bhayani features Harsh Gujral saying, 'Jannat ko to phir…naam kyun aisa rakha hai wahi bhej diya. Jannat ko marna bhi us time zaruri tha. Meine sorry bola hai. Woh to ek strong contender thi uss time pe. Woh influence bhi is tareeke se ki woh acha khel rahi thi. Woh iss tarah ki ladki thi ki bina kisi shor sharabe ke acha khel rahi thi. (Murdering Jannat on the show was crucial and I said sorry. She was a strong contender and was playing well. She played without making any noise). " On the show, Jannat discovered Harsh had been recruited as the new Traitor, which prompted her eviction the same night. Despite her instinct, she failed to eliminate him. Following her eviction, Jannat Zubair told Tellychakkar that she regrets not revealing Harsh's identity. She said, 'I think mujhe sabse jyada regret us episode ka hai ki main Harsh ko bahar nahi nikal payi… Harsh ek recruited traitor hai." She emphasised that her suspicions were correct and captured in the video diaries from the night, but circumstances prevented her from acting in time. Her removal occurred the same night she planned to face Harsh at the breakfast table. Apart from Harsh and Jannat, the first season featured Karan Kundra, Sudhanshu Pandey, Anshula Kapoor, Jasmine Bhasin, Uorfi Javed, Ashish Vidyarthi, Sahil Salathia, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Raftaar, Raj Kundra, Elvish Yadav, Sumukhi Suresh, Mukesh Chhabra, Sufi Motiwala, Maheep Kapoor, Apoorva Mukhija (Rebel Kid), and Elnaaz Norouzi.
