The 'miracle in a bottle' Nivea anti-wrinkle serum is said to 'reverse skin age in two weeks'

Daily Record5 days ago
This anti-ageing serum has been crafted with a break-through ingredient after 15 years of scientific research.
The world of anti-ageing skincare is packed with lotions and potions. More choice is a bit of a double-edged sword, as that means it can be hard to find one that actually works.
However, it looks like Nivea has cracked the secret to "youthful, plumped" skin with its Cellular Epigenetics Age Rewind Face Serum that costs £34.99 for a 30ml on Amazon and Boots.
Formulated after 15 years of research, this serum has been crafted with break-through ingredient Epicelline, an ingredient in epigenetics science that is said to "rewind skin age in two weeks."
It does so by 'reactivating' older skin cells' youth functions through patented age technology, making them act more like the younger versions of themselves, leading to a "100 percent proven more youthful appearance."
That's not all, it also contains three types of hyaluronic acid to help hydrate the skin, targeting 10 signs of ageing including wrinkles, firmness, radiance, moisture, elasticity and plumpness.
It's not the only product backed by science, as Boots No7 Future Renew Serum boasts the world's first peptide technology to "reverse" the signs of ageing, with a 50ml costing £47.95.
Another powerful, yet proven to work, product on the market is Medik8's Crystal Retinal range that is priced from £45. Using the brand's patented vitamin A derivative, it is said to act "11 times faster" than regular retinol.
As for the Nivea Epigenetics Serum, it doesn't currently have any reviews on Amazon, but we have spotted it with two five-star reviews on the Boots website.
One shopper said: "I very rarely leave a review but this is a miracle in a bottle. I am over 50 and have tried many many lotions and potions to help with ageing and over the years I've spent a lot.
"But this little bottle is amazing. I have literally used it 3 days so far and I can see a noticeable difference. This is now my new go to serum. Amazing."
The second read: "Absolutely love this product and the texture when applying it onto the skin. It is super lightweight and leaves my skin feeling plump and hydrated after the first use. I am excited to see further results as I continue to use the product."
While we haven't spotted any negative reviews, it is worth noting that, unlike a few other Amazon purchases, it is not available for next day delivery, with purchases taking a couple of days to arrive.
Beauty deal of the week
YSL Black Opium remains an iconic perfume - and we know where to bag the newest edition for its cheapest price.
The YSL BLack Opium Le Parfum offers a more vanilla-heavy fragrance that has been hailed as "intoxicating" in reviews, with a 50ml now half-price at Boots after being dropped from £115 to £57.50.
Massive saving aside, it's the cheapest it can be bought for at the moment, as rival retailers Superdrug, Lookfantastic and The Perfume Shop still stock it at full-price.
This interpretation of the iconic perfume was only launched in 2022, with its original floral gourmand fragrance still offering its famed notes that include pear accord, green mandarin, orange flower petals, jasmine sambac and cinnamon.
However, the iconic coffee accord has been twisted with four different, yet still complimentary, notes of vanilla, which is said to be its most important ingredient, to create an "unexpected smoothness, with uncompromising intensity."
Meanwhile, the unique glossy bottle that has been crafted from a precious black stone, with its dazzling glitter emblem at the heart, eludes to the luxuriousness of the fragrance contained within.
As for the YSL Black Opium Le Parfum, Boots shoppers wanting to take advantage of the half-price discount will be glad to hear it has amassed a 4.7 rating from thousands of customers who say it "lasts all day" and "literally turns heads" when it is worn.
One five-star review read: "I love the fragrance. I used a lot the first time, not realising how intense it was. It lasts all day and continues to smell great. I literally turn heads when I wear it."
Don't miss Boots' half-price discount on the YSL Black Opium Le Parfum (50ml) that is now £57.50, down from £115.
On Trustpilot, quite a few beauty enthusiasts have more mixed opinions on the skincare brand in general. One shopper who left a three-star review did urge the firm to "revise" its range of products.
They added: "They didn't help me to moisturise my face even if it's states that the cream is moisturising, lol. Nevertheless, I should pay homage to this company as it has a vast line of different products."
Meanwhile, a few others did leave the company quite a few negative comments, with stating "formula changes" to their favourite products, such as the Nivea Crème, and customer service as reasons for their feedback.

Amazon cuts Fitbit smartwatch by 29% – but shoppers say ‘you can't go wrong' with this £35 alternative

ACTIVITY trackers are one of the simplest ways to take control of your health. Right now, the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 is just £34.93 on Amazon, giving the big-name brands a serious run for their money. Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Smartwatch, £39.99 £34.93 For context, the Fitbit Charge 6, which offers many of the same core features, is currently on sale for £98.99, down from £139.99. That's still a decent price, but when the Xiaomi does the essentials for a third of the cost, it's hard to justify spending more. If you've been eyeing a Fitbit but don't want to drop nearly £100, this is a smart swap. I spotted this gem sitting high on Amazon's best-selling activity trackers list, and it covers all the essentials. You get a bright 1.72-inch AMOLED display, and fitness features like 24/7 heart rate tracking, sleep monitoring, and over 150 exercise modes. Like the Fitbit Charge 6, it's water-resistant up to 50m, so you can take it swimming, and it'll track your heart rate in the pool, which is a rare feature at this price point. It works with both iOS and Android, and keeps you connected with smartphone notifications, alarms, and reminders to move. It's no fad either, research shows fitness trackers could help predict the likelihood of dementia by spotting changes in movement and sleep. Spotting those patterns early could help you make important lifestyle changes sooner. And it keeps up without constant charging, the Xiaomi tracks trends with up to 21 days of battery life, compared to around seven on the Fitbit. It also powers up in about an hour, so you're not constantly tied to a charger. The Fitbit Charge 6 does go further with extras like built-in GPS, Google Maps, Google Wallet, and YouTube Music controls. So if you want those smart features baked in, it might be worth the extra spend. But if you're focused on tracking your activity, sleep, and workouts with a long battery life, the Xiaomi punches well above its weight. And it's not just me, the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 has earned a 4.5-star rating and racked up over 1,000 sales in the past month, with buyers clearly impressed. One reviewer wrote: 'I've purchased fitness trackers over 5 times the price, this is the best fitness tracker anywhere near this price.' Another added: 'I'm very happy with it. Does everything I want it to do and only needs charging once every two weeks.' For a budget-friendly tracker to cover the basics well, this model punches well above its weight. It's not the only bargain I've spotted turning heads on Amazon, with a TSA-approved power bank recently dropped from £130 to just £30. best wireless headphones for running.

Tired Boots shoppers 'can't be without' £32 eye serum for 'saggy' lids slashed to £10

The L'Oréal Paris 2.5% Hyaluronic Acid and Caffeine Revitalift Filler Eye Serum has been reduced by 68% in the Boots £10 Tuesday sale, but shoppers need to be quick Boots £10 Tuesday is back, and just in time for payday, no less. This week, some of the deals are so good they've sold out before we even had a chance to write about them. But, there is one product that shoppers have been raving about that's seen a major price cut from £31.99 to £10, saving more than £20 on the RRP. Until 23.59pm tonight, shoppers can pick up the L'Oréal Paris 2.5% Hyaluronic Acid and Caffeine Revitalift Filler Eye Serum at 68% off, making it cheaper than Amazon where it's £15.60. The eye area is typically the first place to show signs of ageing and fatigue as the skin is ten times thinner and more sensitive. That means that stress, screen time, lack of sleep and pollution often take its toll, leading to dark circles and fine lines. The Revitalift Filler Eye serum has been specifically formulated for the unique eye area and is proven to visibly brighten dark circles and replump eye lines for younger looking eyes. Dermatologist approved, the fragrance-free formula is 'effective on all skin tones', and contains a mix of well-known skin-loving ingredients for effective results. The serum features both macro hyaluronic acid and a higher concentration of micro hyaluronic acid which penetrate deeper into the skin for maximum hydration, while caffeine and 4 per cent niacinamide target dark circles for a brighter complexion. The serum also stars a cooling triple bead applicator for gentle under-eye and eyelid massage, targeting puffiness and rejuvenating weary eyes. According to L'Oreal, it's suitable for use before bedtime or in the morning, claiming it 'quickly absorbs' and 'layers perfectly under makeup'. The affordable serum has been lauded by beauty enthusiasts for giving 'plumper' skin in just a few days. Elsewhere, the Charlotte Tilbury Cryo-Recovery Eye Serum contains IceAwake complex and caffeine, with a skin-cooling applicator tip for eyes that appear depuffed and smoothed. However, it is on the pricier side, coming in at £47. For a more affordable option, there's The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG 30ml for £8.40. This light-textured formula contains an extremely high 5% concentration of caffeine, supplemented with EGCG which can help reduce looks of puffiness and of dark circles in the eye contour. Beauty fans are so impressed with the product, they say they 'can't live without' it. One five-star reviewer said: "I use this eye serum with the rest on the revitalift range and it completes my routine wonderfully! My eyes certainly thank me for it! The wand makes application super easy and it feels refreshing and soothing when putting it on. After a few uses, the skin around my eyes is plumper, my dark circles have disappeared and I look so much more awake and ready for the day ahead. I can't be without this now!' A second raved: "Oh, I love this eye serum. Using it in the morning and my eyes feel so fresh. I usually have very tired eyes with saggy eye lids and puffy dark circles underneath my eyes, all of this kind of disappears within 30 minutes after using it. I specially like the applicator when I can massage the serum into my eye lids and under my eyes. It feels so refreshing. I highly recommend this. Also using it in the evening, just to refresh my eyes after a long day." But others have found the texture to be a little 'greasy' adding: 'I found this to be a bit to greasy, I think the first Time I used it, I use a bit too much, but even with cutting it down, I still found it greasy and hard to soak in the skin. I persevered with it and have found a slight difference to the wrinkles round my eyes and the puffiness has gone, so it does work.' 'Bought this while it was on offer... really blown away!' wrote a fourth. 'Noticed an immediate tightening around the eye area and after two weeks of using twice a day the lines are visibly reduced around my eyes." Shoppers can pick up the L'Oréal Paris 2.5% Hyaluronic Acid and Caffeine Revitalift Filler Eye Serum for £10 today.

Boots drops £28 'miracle' face cream with 'noticeable results' to £10

People have felt their skin 'looks younger' and some claimed that imperfections 'totally disappeared' with this product Beauty shoppers are taking advantage of a deal on a face cream that offers people the chance to "look younger" within weeks. It's usually priced at almost £30, but a flash deal has made this "miracle" pot just £10. Boots has slashed the price of the No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED Day Cream from £27.95 down to £10 during the weekly Tuesday flash sale, where dozens of items are reduced to just £10. The cream, infused with SPF15, offers "advanced protection and 24 hours of hydration for visibly younger looking skin", according to the Boots website. It goes on to claim that skin will look "instantly more radiant" after applying, with continued use leading to more results. Boots claim that, after two weeks, skin should "look younger" and a month of use will leave fine lines and wrinkles "visibly reduced." The website adds: "Rest assured the formulation of our advanced skincare products you have come to love remains the same giving you noticeable age-defying results." The Boots cream is said to be suitable for sensitive skin, and ingredients include hyaluronic acid that helps skin stretch and flex, reducing skin wrinkles and lines. There are similar moisturising day creams available for people looking for an alternative, such as Dr H Hyaluronic Acid Anti-Ageing Day Moisturiser (Debenhams, £18.75, down from £220) and L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler SPF 50 Day Cream (Superdrug, £14.99, down from £29.99), but No7 fans are taking advantage of this deal to stock up on their supplies. The cream has an overall rating online of 4.2 stars out of 5, with 500 different reviews from Boots shoppers. Lots of people who had bought and used the cream had glowing verdicts of the product, which some have used for years. One said: "I love this cream. It absorbs into your skin quickly and makes your skin feel very smooth." Another added: "I have been using this for a few years, and it suits my skin. It gives a lovely luminous look. I have lots of comments on how good my skin looks so highly recommend it for sensitive skin." A third wrote: "I used to have dry flaky patches on my face which have totally disappeared since using this, my skin is soft, even, and feels firmer. My uneven skin tone looks more even, and my fine lines are visibly reduced. Can't rate it highly enough, to me, it's a miracle product!" There were a few critics, though, as some felt the quality didn't match up to their expectations. Some also found that it caused reactions on their skin, which is why Boots suggests people test with a small patch on their skin to check suitability before applying fully. One said: "Got this as a present. Don't like it as it was very greasy on my skin and felt more like a sunscreen. Might be better if you have very dry skin." And, one more claimed: "The adverts on tv made me want to buy this and because it stated suitable for sensitive skin, I was sure it would be my new favourite. Unfortunately it made my face sting and my skin was so red, I looked sunburned!" However, someone else put: "I find this cream gives my skin a lovely glow after use but never sticky feel. Slightly fragranced but nothing off putting. Long lasting too." And, a fifth shared: "Have been using this cream for a few months, it's brilliant. You only need a small amount and your skin feels fresh and hydrated."
