Speeding car rams into tractor-trolley in UPs Gorakhpur; 2 dead, 3 critical
Gorakhpur (UP), Jul 30 (PTI) A late-night joyride turned tragic in Gorakhpur's Gulriha area, when a speeding four-wheeler crashed into a stationary tractor-trolley, killing two and leaving three others critically injured, police said on Wednesday.
A group of five youths had set out to celebrate 18-year-old Satyam Nishad's winning Rs 18,000 in an online game.
They left in a car owned by Abhay Nishad around 10 pm Tuesday, police said. Near Bhatat, the car allegedly hit a home guard riding a bicycle. In an attempt to flee, Abhay accelerated, lost control, and rammed into a trolley parked outside an Indian Bank branch, police said. The impact crushed the car and sent airbags ballooning, but that was not enough. Abhay Nishad, 22, and Bajrangi Nishad, 21, died on the spot.
Satyam suffered an eye injury and deep head wounds, while Sangam and Vijay lost consciousness. The three alive were rushed to the local medical college, where their condition remains critical. 'The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem. The condition of all three injured youths is critical and they are undergoing treatment. The car was at a very high speed," Gulriha SHO Jitendra Singh said.
'The impact of the collision was so severe that the wheel of the roadside parked trolley got dislodged," he added. PTI COR KIS VN VN

A source quoted by Koreaboo said, 'He was distressed by the malicious articles and comments, and the circumstances were extremely unfavorable at that time." Just over a week before his death, Song had been booked without detention for driving under the influence. The incident occurred on June 19 in Yongin, after Song had reportedly consumed alcohol with acquaintances and attempted to drive home. His blood alcohol content was said to be over 0.08 per cent, leading to the revocation of his driver's license. The incident came to light after a local resident reported it to the police. Five Kanwariyas Killed, Two Injured As DJ Vehicle Hits Live Wire In Bihar's Bhagalpur

At least five kanwariyas were killed and two others sustained injuries after a vehicle fitted with a DJ sound system came in contact with a high-tension power line and overturned in Bihar's Bhagalpur district late Sunday night, said officials. The incident occurred around 12:05 am when the group was en route to Jayesthgaur Nathsthan to offer prayers on the final Monday of the Shrawani Mela. 'A DJ vehicle came in contact with an electric wire and overturned, in which five people died on the spot. Efforts are being made to provide financial assistance to their families," said Bhagalpur SSP Hridyakant. He added that the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Law and Order) has been stationed at the site, and efforts are underway to trace the driver of the vehicle. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle had briefly gotten stuck in the mud before the accident occurred. As the driver managed to manoeuvre it out, the mounted sound equipment made contact with a low-hanging live wire. The vehicle subsequently lost balance and overturned into a roadside canal. 'There were nine people on the vehicle at the time, while many other kanwariyas were walking alongside with similar DJ systems," an eyewitness said. Man held in Ghaziabad 26 years after jumping parole for murdering kid in 1993
NEW DELHI: A man convicted of kidnapping and murdering an eight-year-old boy in 1993 has been arrested by the Delhi Police Crime Branch after evading the law for over 26 years, an official said on Sunday. The accused, Raj Kishore (55), alias Bade Lalla, a resident of Kanpur Dehat in Uttar Pradesh, was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in 1996 for the brutal murder of a businessman's son. 'He was granted six-week parole by the Delhi High Court in 1999 but never returned to prison,' said DCP (Crime) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav. Declared a proclaimed offender in 2014, Kishore was finally apprehended from Ghaziabad's Khoda Colony on August 2, police said. According to police, on December 28, 1993, Kishore and his associate abducted the son of a garment factory owner in Kalyanpuri, demanded Rs 30,000 ransom, then killed the child and dumped the body in a drain. Kishore had been lodged in Tihar Jail before he jumped parole. He stayed in Patna, Jaipur, and Barnala under fake identities, eventually settling in Kanpur during the COVID-19 pandemic and running a tailoring business. A special team tracked him over two months and arrested him in Ghaziabad after a planned operation. His associate had already completed his sentence.
