Beloved WWE star's contract 'expires this weekend' with no deal in sight
This weekend, the current deals for Karrion Kross and his real life wife Scarlett are set to expire, and reports suggest neither star have settled on a new contract.
After months of fans rallying behind the former NXT Champion and loudly chanting his name at SummerSlam over the weekend, the duo could be on their way out.
As reported by Fightful Select, the pair – who didn't feature on Monday Night Raw this week – haven't been offered new deals days after he lost to Sami Zayn at the stadium show.
However, the outlet added that neither star has been told their contracts will be lapsing, which could suggest there's still hope they'll remain with the company.
They haven't addressed the situation publicly, but Karrion did respond on social media after fans chanting 'we want Kross' at boss Triple H was brushed off as 'we want Brock' chants.
'I heard you loud and clear,' he wrote on X, before adding: 'Unreal. They write the scripts… But the fans write the truth. Thank you, Tick tock.'
It's safe to say a lot of fans are disappointed at the prospect of Karrion and Scarlett leaving, with plenty of people pointing to their potential as major players.
'Karrion Kross has to be up there with the biggest waste of talent in the WWE of all time. Hopefully this isn't if for him though,' wrote @r0w4n_k3r1m.
And @chris_xcom added: 'Wherever Kross lands, if it's renewed with the WWE or elsewhere – Kross and Scarlet are going to be serious draws. He was just starting to come into his own for his character. And Scarlet just needs the opportunity.'
However, after Seth Rollins recently fooled everyone with his injury at Saturday Night's Main Event, some people are remaining sceptical about this situation.
'We definitely getting worked lmaooo,' joked @johnathanvolk, with other fans expecting them to remain with the company.
The duo first signed with WWE in 2020, remaining with the company until November the following year when they were both released.
By August 2022, Karrion and Scarlett had been re-signed and returned on SmackDown, feuding with the likes of Drew McIntyre and AJ Styles.
For much of 2024, he fronted the Final Testament group with Authors of Pain, and feuded with The Pride and the Wyatt Family.
This year, he's been featured weekly on Raw – albeit sometimes in short promos in between the main action – but his merch has sold well for WWE, and fan support has been steadily growing.

Hulk Hogan's estranged daughter Brooke reveals why she snubbed WWE legend's funeral
Brooke Hogan, the daughter of late wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, has spoken out after choosing not to attend his funeral on Tuesday. Hogan's devastated friends and family gathered at the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida to say their final goodbyes to the WWE legend after his death from a cardiac arrest at age 71. However, Brooke, who shared a tense relationship with her dad towards the end of his life, did not attend the service. Instead, she took the personal decision to celebrate her father's life in her own private way. 'My father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn't want one,' Brooke, 37, explained on Instagram Tuesday evening. 'And although I know people grieve in many ways - and I'm so grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him, as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best way I knew way that made me feel the closest to him. The only thing missing today was him in is pop up lawn chair watching the waves... and the sunset.' Alongside her emotional caption, Brooke, who welcomed twins - a boy and a girl - wither her husband, ex-NHL player Steven Oleksy in January, shared a series of touching photos of the young family. Earlier in the day, Brooke had announced that she would be taking her children to Hogan's 'favorite place', the beach. And her carousel of photos, showed the twins, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene, frollicking in the water as she and Oleksy held them along the shore. 'Daddy, we honored you in the simplest, most genuine way that agreed with my soul. We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved,' she continued. 'Molly loved the water. I think she'll be a "little fish" as you called me. We love you and honor the things that made you so special. Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby, and brought us closer to you. I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you. 'Rest in heaven, Daddy❤️'

Hulk Hogan laid to rest in private funeral as WWE legends, celebrities, & family attend & ‘wear touching nod to icon'
HULK Hogan has been laid to rest in a private funeral with WWE legends, celebrities, and his family attending. Mourners appeared to be wearing a touching nod to the wrestling icon as his casket was taken into a Clearwater, Florida, church on Tuesday. 3 Hogan died on July 24 aged 71 from a heart attack, but medical records showed he had a history of leukaemia. Wrestling icons like Triple H, Stephanie McMahon attended, while celebrities like singer Kid Rock and comedian Theo Von also attended. His ex-wife Lina, who he was married to from 1983 to 2009, was the only member of his family seen going in or out of the service. Dozens gather at Florida church for Hulk Hogan's funeral service
Dozens of people gathered Tuesday evening at a funeral service for famed wrestler Hulk Hogan, who died last month at 71. The private service was held at the same church where Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, was baptized in 2023. He died after suffering a heart attack July 24 at his home in Clearwater, according to the Pinellas County medical examiner. Hogan previously had leukemia and atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm, the examiner's report said. His death was declared to be natural. The service was heavily patrolled by church security and Largo police officers, including K-9 dogs. Anyone not on the guest list was turned away near signs that read, 'Private Event.' President Donald Trump posted a photo on his Truth Social platform showing him arm wrestling Hogan, saying, 'They are having the 'Hulkster's' funeral today, and I thought everybody would enjoy seeing this picture.' Gov. Ron DeSantis ordered flags flown at half-staff at all official buildings last Friday, which he declared 'Hulk Hogan Day in Florida.' Hogan was perhaps the biggest star in WWE's long history, known for both his larger-than-life personality and his in-ring exploits. He was the main draw for the first WrestleMania in 1985 and was a fixture for years, facing everyone from Andre The Giant and Randy Savage to The Rock and even WWE co-founder Vince McMahon. Hogan was also a celebrity outside the wrestling world, appearing in numerous movies and television shows, including 'Hogan Knows Best,' a reality show about his life on VH1. Hogan's body will be cremated. His daughter Brooke Bollea Oleksy, better known by her stage name Brooke Hogan, memorialized her father in a recent social media post. 'I am so grateful I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens,' she wrote on Instagram.
