Overview
The Audi S3 sedan splits the difference between the sensible and appealing standard A3 and the intense and track-ready 401-hp RS3. This compact, all-wheel-drive sedan's handsome, reserved exterior provides a nice foil for the rorty turbocharged four-cylinder found under the hood. Audi has announced a mild power bump for the 2025 S3, an increase of 22 ponies for a total of 328 horsepower. Numerous chassis revisions are intended to further hone its already sharp handling skills, and there's a sassy new drift mode. But the S3's story has always been about its remarkable balance, not only in terms of style and performance but also in the way its tasteful interior blends modern tech with decent material quality in a way that never looks forced or garish. It's a smart and sensible small luxury sedan with an athletic side, a car that can cut and run when called upon but won't beat you up every day with a harsh ride or booming exhaust note. Its enthusiast-friendly personality has made it one of our favorites in a class full of fun-to-drive cars.
What's New for 2025?
The S3 receives a well-curated round of updates, all focused on elevating its performance. Horsepower from the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four is up by 22, for a total of 328 horses. Torque remains the same at 295 pound-feet but is available across a wider rev band. Likewise, the chassis, driveline, and software receive some massaging, including a new torque-split system on the rear axle—similar to the one in use in the RS3—that uses two clutch packs to enable variable output between the two rear wheels. Front-end tweaks include larger brakes with two-piston calipers, revised geometry with different camber curves, and retuned steering.
Pricing and Which One to Buy
The price of the 2025 Audi S3 starts at $49,995 and goes up to $56,195 depending on the trim and options.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The S3's 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine is rated for 328 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, 22 horsepower higher than last year's model. A seven-speed automatic transmission and Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system are standard. During our test drive of the 2025 model, we praised the S3's lithe handling and found its powertrain to be perky, eager, and sonorous. The engine improvements help the car feel even more responsive than before, and we felt the new torque-splitting differential at work in the corners, where the S3 is a precise and willing partner.
0–60-MPH Times
In our testing, the updated S3 got to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. That's slightly quicker than the old model.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The S3 is EPA-rated for 23 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. It's more efficient than the CLA35 and just a bit behind the M235 Gran Coupe. When we get a chance to test the S3's highway fuel economy on our 75-mph test route, we'll update this story with results. For more information about the S3's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The S3's cabin is nearly identical to the new A3's but adds some racier styling elements such as sport seats with quilted leather inserts and a flat-bottom steering wheel. The S3 uses the same toggle-switch gear selector as the A3 as well. Audi offers the S3 with a more comprehensive set of standard features, though, including a panoramic sunroof, three-zone automatic climate control, and illuminated door jamb scuff plates. Passenger space is slightly more generous than in the previous-gen S3, but the new car's trunk is smaller.

Infotainment and Connectivity
The S3 comes with a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.3-inch digital gauge display. The screens run Audi's latest MMI software interface and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included as standard. Buyers of the mid-range Premium Plus trim can opt for the Technology package, which adds a larger 12.3-inch digital gauge display, in-dash navigation, and a Sonos-branded stereo system. The top-of-the-line Prestige model gets all those same features as standard equipment.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
Like most Audis, the S3 comes standard with several driver-assistance features; more advanced technology is optional. Cowboy's e-bikes granted a second life
After months of speculation over the e-bike maker's imminent demise, Cowboy says it now has the financial backing it needs to survive. The Brussels-based maker of boutique e-bikes says it has secured short-term financing to keep the lights on and a commitment from Rebirth Group Holding that should 'ensure its long-term future.' The bicycle company that once swore it wouldn't become the next VanMoof, recently showed signs of following a similar path to bankruptcy. New e-bike deliveries were taking months, repairs were delayed due to a lack of parts, payments were missed, and debt was mounting, according to media reports and customer complaints. Cowboy already had a relationship with Rebirth Group prior to signing a term sheet with its new partner. Rebirth is the parent of Re-cycles, the French manufacturer of traditional bicycles that recently took over responsibility for Cowboy's e-bike assembly operations. The move was supposed to reduce delivery times and improve customer support over time, but it also contributed to some short-term issues during the transition out of Hungary. Today's announcement makes Rebirth Group doubly vested in Cowboy's survival. Cowboy says a costly recall of its Cruiser ST that followed a post-covid bikeaggedon — which continues to rile the e-bike industry — created 'the most challenging period in the company's history.' The recall, according to Cowboy, was caused by an 'unapproved change from a supplier.' With funding secured, replacement frames ready, and the first recall hub up and operational (with more cities to come), Cowboy says that operations and production will gradually return to normal. 'Our priority is to restore normal operations before year-end, working closely with our new partner,' says Cowboy in a press release. 'This means delivering outstanding bikes, resolving open cases, and regaining the level of service our customers expect.' Cowboy says it will provide updated progress in September. 'Tesla shame' bypasses Norway as sales jump despite Musk's politics
By Marie Mannes SKI, Norway (Reuters) -Like many Norwegians, Espen Lysholm is not a fan of Elon Musk these days, uncomfortable with the world's richest man's lurch into right-wing politics. He does, however, love Musk's cars. "I'll be honest that it's a bit of a double-edged sword having a Tesla," said Lysholm, who bought a Model Y in May - his third new Tesla in less than a decade. Switch Auto Insurance and Save Today! Affordable Auto Insurance, Customized for You The Insurance Savings You Expect Great Rates and Award-Winning Service Musk's politics - he helped bankroll Donald Trump's U.S. election win last year and has championed European far-right parties - have sparked a fierce consumer backlash. But while that anger has provoked acts of vandalism against Tesla cars and dealerships and pushed once loyal customers, particularly in Europe, to ditch the brand, sales in tiny Norway are booming, at least for now. "I did think a bit around all that's going on with the company and the brand," said Lysholm, who works at a cartech company in the city of Trondheim. "But it's really all about the charging infrastructure and the seamless technology of the car. No one comes even close." In the first half of this year as Tesla sales plunged by half or more in Germany, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands, they grew by 24% year-on-year in Norway, making the country of 5.5 million the company's second-largest European market. Tesla and Musk did not respond to Reuters' requests for comment. Reuters interviews with Norwegian Tesla owners as well as EV industry experts highlight a 12-year relationship between the Nordic nation and the carmaker that, despite recent signs of strain, has bred brand loyalty and insulated against blowback. "In many ways, you could say Norway helped build Tesla," said Christina Bu, secretary general of the Norwegian EV Association. "Everyone in Norway knows someone who owns a Tesla," she said. "It's more personal." 'NORWAY ROCKS' Though small - its market represented less than 12% of Tesla's European sales in the first half of the year and a tiny fraction of the company's global revenues - Norway holds symbolic importance for the brand. It was the first country outside of North America to receive Tesla's flagship EV, the Model S, in 2013. And the company helped build Norway into the world's leader in EV adoption. Tesla built its first Supercharger network outside of North America in Norway, locking in new customers with the promise of a vast web of fast-charging stations for their EVs. In return, Norway gave Tesla a global showcase for its technology, and Musk, once a regular visitor to the country, praised its government's subsidy-backed EV policies. "Norway rocks," he wrote in 2022 on Twitter, the social media platform he bought and later renamed X. The Model S rapidly became the best-selling car in Norway where EVs now account for 94% of all new vehicle sales. In 2021, Tesla took the title of the country's leading car brand outright and has accounted for between 11% and 20% of total new car registrations in each of the last five years. That dominance, however, is now being challenged. Volkswagen temporarily seized the top spot in the first quarter. Volvo Cars' EV offering is also fast winning over Norwegian drivers. And Chinese manufacturers, including BYD, XPeng and SAIC Motor's brand MG, together seized a 12.3% share of new sales in June. BOYCOTT TO SAVE Tesla is, for now, successfully fending off the growing threats to its crown in Norway and overcoming the popular disenchantment with CEO Musk. New Tesla registrations dipped 4% last year and the early months of 2025 were marked by subdued sales. But Norwegians snapped up its refreshed Model Y SUV, which first came out in March, as well as a lower-priced version released in May. "Having the ease of operation, having a car that fulfills your needs and for a very affordable price, that is much more important to the Norwegian car buyer than dealing with Tesla shame," said Oyvind Solberg Thorsen, head of the Norwegian Road Federation (OFV). A promotional blitz that saw Tesla offer zero-interest financing and free supercharging in May likely contributed to a 213% spike in Tesla's new car registrations. "It's practically free money, so I jumped at it," Lysholm said. The same promotion did not prevent steep sales declines in Nordic neighbours Sweden and Denmark, however, where no Tesla models cracked the list of top-10 sellers in July, according to OFV. The big question for Tesla is whether Norwegians' loyalty to the brand will last. Research from polling agency Norstat published in February showed that 40% of Norway's Tesla owners believe Musk's political activism is hurting the brand, though more than half of Tesla owners polled said they intended to buy another Tesla. Odd Bakken, a Tesla owner since 2014 who once admired Musk as a visionary, won't be one of them. Driving his Model S from Oslo to his home in the southern town of Ski, he told Reuters he still loves the technology. "Tesla was the first electric car that was actually a good car," said Bakken, who at one point sat on the board of the Norwegian Tesla owners club. It was a two-way relationship, with Tesla posting pictures on its social media of Bakken's Model S on a 2014 trip to northern Norway. But after Musk moved to back Trump and rally behind political movements like Germany's far-right Alternative for Germany, he decided Norwegians needed to show their displeasure via their pocketbooks and convince the company to push him out. "To save Tesla, we need to boycott Tesla," he said. That doesn't mean he wouldn't buy a second-hand model though. "Because the company doesn't benefit from us buying their used cars," he said. Porsche Unveils New 911 Cup And GT3 R For Motorsport Duty
Porsche recently unveiled two cars that are a cornerstone of its racing efforts: The new 992.2-generation 911 Cup and revised GT3 R. The former is part of the brand's one-make series that runs in North America, Germany, and Asia, whereas the latter sees duty in global FIA GT3-class competition. In the USA, this most prominently takes the form of the IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship and SRO GT World Challenge America. Both race cars largely mimic their predecessors, yet, with some key changes to suspension and aerodynamics. Over 5,000 Cup Cars Built Since 1990 Built alongside road-going 911s at Porsche's Zuffenhausen, Germany facility, the current 992.1-generation 911 Cup has been in service since 2020 and totals 1,130 units. But now, with the 992.2 revision that debuted earlier this year, the new Cup will now be upgraded to reflect changes to its exterior. Additionally, some race-ready function is built into its bodywork. The front spoiler lip—acting as a key source of downforce—is now made up of three separate parts, which means easier and less-costly replacement after on-track contact. Similarly, the Cup loses the road-going version's daytime running lights, as, in the event of a collision, there's less threat to the Cup's radiator system. Plus, one less component to replace means less money spent by teams during repair. Additionally, a less-expensive carbon fiber fleece now comprises several rear body parts, which should be easier on teams' finances, too. The front fenders now feature louver vents and revised underbody aerodynamic engineering to improve overall precision on track, especially at high speed. Then, the rear spoiler has been revised for easier adjustment. In terms of power output, the naturally aspirated, 4.0-liter flat-six beneath every Cup car now produces 512 horsepower. Reigning it in is a revised braking package, with wider and larger brake discs up front with optimized ducting to improve cooling. Suffice to say, this will be the most capable, confident, and lively Cup car generation ever built since the series debuted 35 years ago. GT3 Brawler The current Porsche 911 GT3 R debuted in 2023 and has been no stranger to podiums around the globe. Last year, AO Racing's iconic Rexy GTD Pro entry claimed the season championship, and GT3 Rs claimed six wins in eight events in Germany's own Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS). Now, a new revised R is set to debut in grids for the 2026 season. While upgrades are minimal, they'll ensure competitiveness up against other GT3-class contenders from Aston Martin, Mercedes-AMG, BMW, and more, for years to come. They're largely focused on front-end aero and suspension by way of revised fender louvers and re-engineering kinematics in its double-wishbone suspension. These louvers 'help to counteract front-end compression during deceleration, thereby maintaining aerodynamic balance. This reduces the tendency of the car to tilt forward during braking, also known as pitch sensitivity. As a result, the new 911 GT3 R offers more precise and predictable braking behavior, improving overall control,' Porsche Motorsport states in its official press release. Improved durability and reliability has been the focus of the new GT3 R, too. The electrohydraulic power steering system features upgraded cooling, and new ceramic wheel bearings are fitted to improve overall robustness dealing with sustained duty on circuits around the globe. Several add-ons are now standard equipment, too, making it easier for teams to adhere to different series' rulebooks. Finally, the GT3 R's mighty 4.2-liter flat-six engine produces as much as 557 horsepower, though, adjusting this figure based on series' balance-of-performance rules will be easy to achieve. As the 992-generation has been out for some time, Porsche states that it will offer upgrade packages to bring pre-2026 911 GT3 Rs up to this current specification.
