Ukrainian strikes hit a key Putin microchip plant in Zelenograd district, with thunderous explosions also hitting a drone-making plant and another defence plant in Dubna.
Both strikes are seen as causing significant damage to the Kremlin's war machine, as Russian air defences exploded incoming drones to avert more damage.
Moscow's defence ministry claims Ukraine launched nearly 300 drones overnight in revenge for Russia unleashing three nights of hellish aerial strikes on Ukraine.
In the largest-scale aerial attack of the war a few days ago, Russia sent 367 drones and missiles over the border, killing at least 12 and injuring dozens.
In the latest drone blitz launched by Ukraine, there was major disruption at Moscow's major airports with all forced to close, leading to huge flight delays.
The Mikron microchip plant in the Moscow region is key to Russian defence needs amid sanctions, supplying hi-tech electronics for weapons.
In Dubna, reports say the target was Kronstadt state-of-the-art UAV manufacturing plant that mass produces multiple types of drones used by the Russian armed forces in Ukraine.
There were also claims of a confirmed strike in Dubna at an aviation and rocket technology plant.
Meanwhile, Zelensky has revealed that Ukraine is ready for any format of negotiations - including the possibility of a bombshell trilateral meeting.
The brave Ukrainian leader explained at a closed meeting with reporters that he would want to meet directly with Trump and mad Vlad, according to the Kyiv Post.
How Iran's Trump assassination plot would trigger full-scale invasion by the US and topple Ayatollah's evil regime
He said: "We are ready for the Trump-Putin-me format, or for separate meetings - Trump-Putin, Trump-Zelensky, and then all three together.
Revealing that both the American and Russian sides are aware of the proposal, Zelensky added: "It's not a question of time or place, the main thing is the substance."
Zelensky also said that if the talks are on security guarantees, he "strongly" believes "Europeans must be part of the process" as "they are the ones willing to support us with weapons and financing".
Ukraine is currently waiting for a "memorandum" from Moscow which outlines what the next steps could be in potential ceasefire negotiations as well as future peace crunch talks.
The brave leader reiterated Ukraine's desire to engage in talks with Russia "in any format, in any composition, and almost anywhere in the civilised world".
Ukraine's latest revenge drone strike came soon after US President Trump took his latest swipe at Putin, warning he is "playing with fire".
Furious rhetoric from the US president has intensified over the past few days as Russia has blitzed Ukraine and shown signs of preparing for a major onslaught.
Kremlin mouthpiece Dmitry Medvedev responded by saying the only truly bad thing to worry about was World War Three.

He said: "Regarding Trump's words about Putin 'playing with fire' and 'really bad things' happening to Russiam I only know of one REALLY BAD thing: WWIII.
"I hope Trump understands this!"
Trump's special envoy Keith Kellogg jumped to the US president's defence, slamming Medvedev's World War Three warning.
'Furthering fears of World War Three is an unfortunate, reckless comment by Dmitry Medvedev, unbecoming of a world power,' he said.
'President Trump is working to stop this war and end the killing. We are awaiting the memo you promised a week ago.'
Following Ukraine's overnight drone blitz, Sergei Markov, director of Russia's Institute of Political Studies, warned: 'Dubna became the target of a massive attack by Ukrainian drones.
'An attack on Dubna carries the threat of nuclear contamination of large areas.'
Russia carried on its onslaught on Ukraine, aiming Iskander missiles at Kremenchug, and drones at Poltava region, overnight.
Residents in Poltava heard sonic booms from missiles exceeding the speed of sound.
Soon, Britain's state-of-the-art Storm Shadow missiles could be used by Ukraine to blitz targets deep inside Russia, the German Chancellor indicated.

Ukraine's key backers - including Germany, France, the UK and the US - have lifted restrictions on where the weapons they donate can be used, Germany's Merz said.
He said last Monday: "There are no longer any range restrictions on weapons delivered to Ukraine - neither by the British nor by the French nor by us nor by the Americans.
"This means that Ukraine can now defend itself, for example, by attacking military positions in Russia… With very few exceptions, it didn't do that until recently. It can now do that."
In November last year, the US authorised Ukraine to use American long-range missiles called ATACMS against targets inside Russia.
In the same month, Britain gave the green light for Ukraine to fire our Storm Shadow missiles at Russia.

Trump ‘disappointed' with Musk after he turned on the Republican tax bill

Mr Trump suggested the world's richest man misses being in the White House and has 'Trump derangement syndrome'. This spending bill contains the largest increase in the debt ceiling in US history! It is the Debt Slavery Bill. — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) June 4, 2025 The Republican president reflected on his break-up with Mr Musk in front of reporters in the Oval Office as the Space X owner continued a storm of social media posts attacking the president's 'Big Beautiful Bill' – and warning it will increase the federal deficit. 'I'm very disappointed in Elon,' Mr Trump said. 'I've helped Elon a lot.' Mr Musk has called Mr Trump's big tax break bill a 'disgusting abomination'. As Mr Trump spoke to reporters at the White House on Thursday, Mr Musk was watching. 'False,' he fired back on his social media platform as the president continued speaking. 'This bill was never shown to me even once and was passed in the dead of night so fast that almost no one in Congress could even read it!'

Wagner Group UK proxy instructed to use Cold War drama as a ‘manual'

Dylan Earl, 20, has admitted orchestrating an arson attack on an east London warehouse, and plotting to burn down Mayfair businesses and kidnap their Russian dissident owner last year. On Thursday, jurors at the Old Bailey saw chat between Earl, of Elmesthorpe, Leicestershire, and a Wagner Group contact identified by the handle Privet Bot on Telegram. The day before the arson attack, Privet Bot instructed Earl to watch the television series The Americans, about KGB agents undercover in the US, 'in order to understand work'. Privet Bot went on: 'The idea is like that. You need to organise partisan cells in the country and in Europe and think of a name for your movement. We'll give you support… 'Watch this series. It will be your manual. You'll have a source of funding through organising arsons.' The court has heard how Earl allegedly roped in Jake Reeves, 23, from Croydon, south London, to help recruit people to carry out the arson attack on the warehouse. Earl also revealed his plans to Ashton Evans 20, from Newport, Gwent, on Signal, Snapchat and mobile phone messages, it is alleged. They had initially communicated about drug dealing, with Earl adopting the name of a notorious Russian 'hitman', the court was told. Evans was allegedly aware that Earl had orchestrated the warehouse arson attack. Three days after the fire, which caused £1 million of damage, Evans asked: 'Did you light it up?' the court was told. They went on to discuss the plot to burn down Hide restaurant and Hedonism wine shop in Mayfair, snatch the owner and hand him over to Russia. Earl warned there would be a 'good amount of heat after this' and it would be 'on every news channel and radio in our country'. Evans allegedly replied: 'Yes, I can sort if there is a way we can do so without people getting hurt cause that's when the police will take very very serious – like t***or (terror) level serious.' Stressing the need for security, Earl told him: 'It will be a huge thing and every single spy agency trying to find who did it so careful ok.' Evans agreed that it would 'bring a lot of attention MI5 etc', the court heard. On April 1 2024, Earl asked Evans to delete their chats and asked if he could make connections with the IRA or the Irish Kinahan crime family. Earl suggested he wanted to 'build a link' between the Kinahans and Russia, saying: 'We have direct connection to the Kremlin, we can do suin (something) big.' After his arrest, Evans claimed he did not take the chat seriously, having jokingly told Earl: 'And this is all in mine craft, right?' He also claimed in a police interview that he was just stringing Earl along to get a refund for £300 of fake cocaine he had bought, the court was told. Earl and Reeves have pleaded guilty to aggravated arson of the east London warehouse and an offence under the National Security Act. The court was told that Reeves had revealed details of their plans to another contact, Dmirjus Paulauskas, having described Earl as 'Russian mafia'. On the kidnap plot, Reeves allegedly told Paulauskas that the idea was to 'get him sent back to Russia for imprisonment'. Paulauskas, 23, from Croydon, allegedly responded to Wagner Group activity on UK soil with glee, saying: 'I'm so f****** gassed cos that means the west has already have already u r allowed to call urself Russian now (sic).' The defendant, who was later to claim that he took none of it seriously, allegedly responded to the warehouse attack by saying: 'Holy f*** so Wagner literally has UK gangs doing their work..' Shortly before their arrests, the men pondered why Earl – 'the Russian guy' – had not been on Snapchat for five days. Paulaskas suggested he was busy in his job 'sabotaging UK'. Prosecutor Duncan Penny KC told jurors that by then Earl had been in custody for nine days. He said: 'The position is clear: Reeves told Mr Paulauskas about the plan to kidnap the target, who had sent money to Ukraine and who was to be sent back to Russia, and about the fact that the attack on the east London warehouse.' Mr Penny added that the realisation there was foreign interference by the Wagner group on British soil through the use of 'UK criminals as proxies', seemed to have been a matter of 'quite some pleasure' to Paulauskas. Evans and Paulauskas have each denied two charges of failing to disclose information about terrorist acts, which they deny. Jakeem Rose, 23, from Croydon, Ugnius Asmena, 20, of no fixed address, Nii Mensah, 23, of Thornton Heath, south London, and Paul English, 61, of Roehampton, south-west London, have denied aggravated arson relating to the warehouse fire. The Old Bailey trial continues.

Citi to lay off 3500 tech staff in China

Citi is to lay off 3500 tech staff in China as part of a major revamp of the bank's global operations. 1 The jobs affected are mostly in the information technology services unit, providing software technology development, testing and maintenance and operational services for Citi's global business. Citi say some of the roles will be relocated to the US and other sites, but declined to provide specific details. 'China has always been an important part of Citi's global network and business development. We will continue to firmly serve corporate and institutional clients in China and serve their cross-border banking needs,' Marc Luet, president of Citi Japan North Asia and Australia said in a statement. The switch comes amid heightened tensions between China and the US, as Donald Trump's tariffs mania leads to a further deteriortation in relations between the two global superpowers. Citi in May hired former US trade representative Robert Lighthizer to advise on tariff implications. Lighthizer served during Trump's first term, imposing tariffs on China and renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) with Mexico and Canada. A business survey from the American Chamber of Commerce in China showed the share of US companies in China considering to relocate manufacturing or sourcing out of China hit a record high, at the outset of Trump's second term.
