Telemundo sets premiere date for Turkish drama ‘Bahar: Esencia de Mujer'
Telemundo has announced that the hit Turkish drama Bahar: Esencia de Mujer will premiere on Monday, July 14 at 10pm/9c. The series stars Demet Evgar (Fuego del Destino) as Bahar, alongside Bugra Gülsoy (Todo Por Mi Hija) as Evren and Mehmet Yilmaz AK (Secretos de Sangre) as Timur, forming a powerhouse cast for a story that explores resilience, personal reinvention and self-discovery.
At the heart of the drama is Bahar, a housewife who has spent two decades prioritising her family. When she is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, she makes the life-altering decision to return to the hospital and resume the medical residency she once abandoned. Her decision, however, complicates her life—she must now work under her husband, the hospital's chief surgeon, and alongside her son, who is also starting his medical career as a first-year resident. While her family disapproves of her choice, Bahar begins to find purpose and fulfillment in reclaiming her identity. But her return to the hospital also uncovers painful secrets about her husband's double life, forcing her to confront long-buried truths.
The series also features performances by Ecem Ozkaya, Hatice Aslan, Fisum Demirel, Demirhan Demircioğlu, Nil Sude Albayrak, Elit Adaç Çam, Alisa Sezen Seve, and Sena Kalip.

Nippon TV announces Arabic adaptation of ‘Woman – My Life for My Children' by Medyapim
The new adapted series, titled 'Salma' will premiere on MBC1 and stream on Shahid. Medyapim's Arabic-language adaptation of Nippon TV's drama Woman – My Life for My Children is set to debut across the Middle East and North Africa on August 17, airing on MBC1 and streaming on Shahid. Titled Salma, the series spans 90 episodes and marks Medyapim's third drama for MBC, following earlier adaptations of BBC Studios' Doctor Foster and the Turkish hit War of the Roses. Based on the original drama penned by Yuji Sakamoto and produced by Hisashi Tsugiya, the story follows the struggles of a single mother whose unwavering love for her children drives her to persevere against overwhelming odds. Medyapim previously adapted the format in Turkey as Kadin, which ran for three seasons and sold to more than 60 international markets. OGM Pictures to adapt ‘My Brilliant Friend' for Turkish audience
Fremantle distributed the original across more than 170 territories, with Turkish viewers accessing it through Digiturk, Tabii, Turkcell TV+ and Puhu TV. Wildside, The Apartment, Fremantle and Fandango have revealed plans for the first-ever scripted format adaptation of the internationally acclaimed drama My Brilliant Friend. The new version, based on Elena Ferrante's bestselling Neapolitan novels, will be produced in Türkiye by OGM Pictures, with filming set to begin later this year. Adapted from Ferrante's globally celebrated quadrilogy, published in the US by Europa Editions, the story follows the lifelong bond between two women, Elena and Lila, whose friendship begins in 1950s Naples. The narrative is told from the perspective of Elena Greco, now an elderly writer, who begins documenting their shared history after Lila mysteriously disappears.
