Girlfriend of Pennsylvania Dentist Who Killed Wife on Safari Breaks Her Silence from Jail in New Interview
Lori Milliron maintains her innocence regarding the 2016 death of Bianca Rudolph The girlfriend of Larry Rudolph, the Pennsylvania dentist convicted of killing his wife while they were on safari in Zambia, has broken her silence from prison. Lori Milliron began an affair with Larry in 2002, and she was ultimately convicted for her involvement in the 2016 shooting death of his wife of 34 years, Bianca Rudolph. At the time, prosecutors argued that Milliron gave Larry an ultimatum that he needed to choose between her or his wife, and that she also knew about his crime while they continued to date after the murder. Millron is currently serving a 17-year sentence for perjury and being an accessory to a murder after the fact, as well as obstructing a grand jury. Now, in Hulu's new three-part docuseries about the case, Trophy Wife: Murder on Safari, Milliron maintains that she had no involvement in the crime. 'There was no ultimatum. Why would I wait 15 years to give him an ultimatum? It just didn't make sense," Milliron said over a prison phone, according to video shared by Inside Edition. 'The police did an investigation, and they said it was an accident. Everyone believed it was an accident. So I assumed it was an accident as well,' she added. In another part of the series, Milliron said she never planned on becoming romantically involved with Larry when they first met as coworkers at his dental practice. 'I was reluctant, but after a little while, I slowly, slowly got to know him,' she said, explaining that she eventually became 'the girlfriend' despite the fact that he was married. While Bianca's death was initially declared an accident by Zambia law enforcement, federal authorities in the U.S. were not convinced and ultimately accused Larry of killing his wife so he could collect millions of dollars in life insurance benefits. He was eventually sentenced to life in prison in 2023 on charges of foreign murder and mail fraud. During his trial, which took place in July 2022, Larry told jurors, 'I did not kill my wife. I could not murder my wife. I would not murder my wife.' However, a witness for the prosecution testified that he had overheard Larry making statements that indicated otherwise. According to Brian Lovelace, a bartender at a Phoenix steakhouse that Larry and Milliron frequented, he heard the dentist confess to the crime during a heated argument. 'Larry and Lori were having a drink," federal prosecutor Bishop Grewell said during opening statements. 'The music in the background made it difficult for Brian Lovelace to hear the conversation going on around him, but at some point, all of a sudden, the music stopped. And in that brief interlude, that brief silence between the songs, Larry Rudolph growled, 'I killed my f------ wife for you!' ' Both Milliron and Larry continue to maintain their innocence and are currently appealing their convictions. Trophy Wife: Murder on Safari premiered on July 21 and airs weekly. Man found shot dead inside car parked near Miami-Dade flea market was having affair with shooter's wife, arrest documents say
Two weeks after a man was shot in a car parked near a Northwest Miami-Dade flea market, arrest documents revealed he was in an alleged "romantic affair" with the accused shooter's wife before dying at the hospital. According to arrest documents obtained by CBS News Miami, 69-year-old Omar Aguila was booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on the charges of second-degree murder and possessing a weapon as a convicted felon for allegedly shooting the man accused of having an affair with his wife and leaving him for dead inside of a car parked outside the Village Flea Market on July 12. Just before 5:55 p.m. on July 12, Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Northside district deputies responded to the flea market near Northwest 79th Street and 27th Avenue regarding a shooting in the parking lot. Upon arrival, deputies found a man "sitting inside of a vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s)," MDSO said. At the time of the investigation, CBS News Miami's crew was at the scene, where the victim's car appeared to have a bullet hole in the windshield. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the man to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where, despite all medical efforts, he died, MDSO said. A suspect — later revealed to be Aguila — was taken into custody without further incident after he was found behind a nearby McDonald's. According to arrest documents, the man shot was in a "romantic affair" with Aguila's wife since 2019. However, it wasn't until April 2024 that Aguila learned of his wife's affair and warned her to end it. On July 10, the affair partner arrived at Aguila's home to speak with his wife. At this time, Aguila confronted the man, who departed from the home shortly after, arrest documents said. Two days later, Aguila, his wife, and his son were at the flea market when the affair partner arrived in a gray Honda Civic and attempted to speak with Aguila's wife. Aguila was then alerted by his son about the interaction. Aguila then rode a mobility scooter toward the affair partner's car, got off and walked over to the passenger side window. According to arrest documents, a verbal altercation occurred through the front passenger window that lasted less than five seconds before Aguila pulled out a gun from his waistband and shot the other man multiple times. The affair partner drove a short distance before becoming unresponsive and stopping at its final resting place, where first responders found him. Investigators found surveillance video from the shooting location that confirmed the sequence of events. According to arrest documents, a Glock 26 9mm handgun was recovered from Aguila, along with two 9mm spent casings and another projectile were found inside the affair partner's car, while another two spent casings were found at the shooting location. After being read his Miranda rights, Aguila explained his side of the story to investigators and was released pending further investigation after they conferred with the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, the arrest documents said. Two weeks later, Aguila was taken back into custody, booked into jail and charged Carrero contributed to this report.

Attorney weighs in on family's rage after Kaylee Goncalves' sister scorches 'stupid, clumsy' killer Kohberger
Kaylee Goncalves' older sister, Alivea Stevenson, scorched Idaho student murderer Bryan Kohberger as he looked on wearing shackles and an emotionless face in court Wednesday morning. The killer barely moved, not even when Stevenson told him to "sit up straight when I talk to you." She pressed on, taunting him with words the defense tried to have blocked from mention in the capital trial that his plea deal got him out of – calling him "Sociopath, psychopath, murderer." "The truth is you're as dumb as they come. Stupid, clumsy, slow, sloppy, weak, dirty. Let me be very clear. Don't ever try to convince yourself you mattered just because someone finally said your name out loud. I see through you. You want the truth? Here's the one you'll hate the most. If you hadn't attacked them in their sleep in the middle of the night, like a pedophile, Kaylee would have kicked your f------ a--." Kohberger pleaded guilty to killing the 21-year-old Goncalves and three of her close friends, Madison Mogen, also 21, and 20-year-olds Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin. He offered no explanation or remorse. "Based on what has come out since the sentencing, it is clear why the Goncalves family has been so angry. The manner in which their daughter was murdered, leaving her unrecognizable, has to be the worst pain parents can feel," said Donna Rotunno, a Chicago-based criminal defense attorney whose former clients include Harvey Weinstein. Moscow police documents, revealed for the first time Wednesday, described a grisly crime scene in greater detail than previously shared with the public. Goncalves, who was asleep at the start of the attack, was "unrecognizable" when police found her remains in a bed next to Mogen, her best friend. Kohberger also dropped a Ka-Bar knife sheath near their bodies, which ultimately led to his arrest, thanks to a single-source DNA sample he had left on the snap. GET REAL-TIME UPDATES DIRECTLY ON THE TRUE CRIME HUB Kohberger waived his right to appeal or seek a sentence reduction and will never become eligible for parole under the sentence Judge Steven Hippler handed down after the plea deal. He avoided the death penalty and received four consecutive life sentences plus another 10 years. The families were split over the deal, with Goncalves' camp fiercely opposed. "I thought she was strong, I thought she was fierce and confident. Also brave," Rotunno said of Stevenson. "I think she knew he would not feel moved by the statements addressing who the victims were as people and what the families have lost out on. I think she knew the only way to get to him was try to make him small." WATCH: Donna Rotunno, Ted Williams and Joshua Ritter react moments after Bryan Kohberger's sentencing Kohberger looked smaller than he has in the past, with thin upper arms and a gaunt face as he sat in shackles and handcuffs. Supporters in the gallery applauded when Stevenson stepped away from the mic. The court called a recess a few minutes later, after her mother also delivered a statement. During the break, Brett Payne, one of the lead detectives on the case, gave Stevenson a supportive pat on the shoulder.
