SPM student dies in crash on way to extra class in Hulu Terengganu

PETALING JAYA: A 17-year-old SPM candidate tragically died in a road accident on his way to an extra class at school.
The incident occurred around 7.30am at Kilometre 37 of Jalan Kuala Terengganu–Bukit Besi, near Kampung Bukit Diman, Ajil, Kosmo reported.
The victim, Muhammad Salahuddin Rosmadi, sustained serious head injuries and multiple wounds to other parts of his body.
He passed away while receiving treatment at the Emergency Unit of Hulu Terengganu Hospital at 10.48am.
District Police Chief Superintendent Sharudin Abdul Wahab said Muhammad Salahuddin, a Form Five student at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Bukit Diman, was travelling from his home in Taman Pertang Permai to attend an additional class.
'Upon reaching the scene, the Honda EX5 motorcycle he was riding is believed to have lost control and skidded off the road.
The victim was rushed to Hulu Terengganu Hospital but was pronounced dead during treatment,' he said.
The body has been sent to the hospital's forensic unit for further examination.

The accident was believed to have occurred when a car headed from Elmina to Meru, Klang, slowed down to avoid two motorcycles that had collided earlier. A second car crashed into the car, followed by a third vehicle in the pile-up. Sungai Buloh police chief Hafiz Nor said no one was injured, Kosmo reported. He said efforts were being made to locate the remaining Mat Rempits. A video of the incident has been widely shared on Facebook, showing the two motorcyclists involved in the accident.

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 — A man accused of murdering his six-year-old son, whose body was found buried in the town of Rompin, located in the Jempol district of Negeri Sembilan, has been remanded for seven days. According to Kosmo!, Jempol district police chief Superintendent Norhisham Mustapar said the remand order for the 36-year-old suspect was issued by Magistrate Norshazwani Ishak at the Bahau Magistrate's Court. The remand, which runs until August 7, is to facilitate investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, he added. 'This will allow investigators to look into the motive behind the killing,' he said when contacted by Kosmo! According to the report, the suspect, dressed in an orange lock-up uniform, was brought to court at about 8.52am and taken away in a white police van roughly an hour later. He was escorted under tight security by police personnel, while media representatives gathered at the court complex from as early as 8.30am. On Monday, the boy, who was earlier reported missing in Taman Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru, was found dead in Jempol.
