2025 UFL Power Rankings: Battlehawks enter postseason on top
Meanwhile, the St. Louis Battlehawks, winners of six straight heading into the postseason, look every bit as capable of winning their first spring league title.
That said, here's a look at my updated UFL Power Rankings following Week 10: 8. San Antonio Brahmas (1-9)
Current odds to win 2025 title: N/A
Jashaun Corbin ended the season with the UFL rushing title after picking up 55 yards on 10 rushes in the final week of the season. But that's about all the Brahmas will take with them in a season where former head coach Wade Phillips stepped down and Payton Pardee was thrust into the interim head coaching role.
The Brahmas, who made the UFL title game a year ago, will enter this offseason looking to rebuild into a team capable of playing in the 2026 postseason. 7. Memphis Showboats (2-8)
Current odds to win 2025 title: N/A
Not unlike the Brahmas, the Showboats dealt with head coach Ken Whisenhunt stepping down before a third of the season was finished. 6. Houston Roughnecks (5-5)
Current odds to win 2025 title: N/A
CJ Johnson should be a candidate for UFL Coach of the Year. The Roughnecks won four of their last six games this season. Johnson's decision to play and then stay with QB Jalan McClendon was one of the biggest reasons why the Roughnecks get to go into the offseason without a losing record. 5. Arlington Renegades (5-5)
Current odds to win 2025 title: N/A
After completing 26 of 32 passes for 283 yards in the Renegades' Week 10 win over the Brahmas, Luis Perez won the UFL passing title with 2,298 yards while completing more than 70% of his passes this season. He has been the most consistent QB in the league, and he has shown himself to be one of the two best QBs in the league over the past three weeks.
The Renegades scored 20 points in the second quarter and held that advantage until the Brahmas scored their final points of the season in the fourth quarter. 4. DC Defenders (6-4)
Current odds to win 2025 title: +450
In a sloppy-field, rain-delayed final game of the season and with presumptive MVP Jordan Ta'amu on the sideline, the Defenders' offense looked like a shell of itself. Even so, backup QB Mike DiLiello accounted for 202 total yards and a touchdown against the regular-season XFL Conference champion Battlehawks. As this game acted as a preliminary for the XFL Conference Championship Game, no one was expected to show much.
Interim coach Shannon Harris didn't want to jeopardize the health of his star player before the postseason, and that's understandable. But that also means the Defenders bring a two-game losing streak with them to St. Louis. 3. Michigan Panthers (6-4)
Current odds to win 2025 title: +255
Without QB Bryce Perkins, the Panthers missed the kind of playmaking that led to them qualifying for the USFL Conference Championship Game. Backups Danny Etling and Rocky Lombardi completed just 13 of 30 passes for 124 yards with two interceptions.
The Panthers take a two-game losing streak into the postseason against the defending UFL and three-time spring football league champion Stallions. 2. Birmingham Stallions (7-3)
Current odds to win 2025 title: +235
Behind two pick-sixes from linebacker Tae Crowder, the Stallions left no doubt about how they're rounding into form right when they need to with two games left to play for a possible fourth consecutive spring football championship.
After playing five different quarterbacks in a 10-week season, Skip Holtz looks to have found his postseason starter in J'Mar Smith, who finished 13-of-17 for 127 yards with a touchdown in a Week 10 win over Memphis. The Stallions have won four of their last five, with their only loss coming by a single point to the Battlehawks. 1. St. Louis Battlehawks (8-2)
Current odds to win 2025 title: +200
The Battlehawks cemented their position as the best team in the regular season in 2025 with a workmanlike win against the second-best team in the XFL Conference and their starting quarterback, Max Duggan, on the bench. Quarterback Brandon Silvers needed to attempt just eight passes in the win, while the Battlehawk defense held the Defenders to just two points in the first three quarters of their final home game.
With the XFL and UFL championship games taking place in St. Louis, the Battlehawks would benefit from home field advantage for the entirety of the playoffs. All they have to do is win.

Baltimore defeated Indianapolis 24-16 in the preseason opener, and we're looking at an updated 53-man roster prediction with a few changes and some surprises After months of waiting, Baltimore returned to M&T Bank Stadium for an entertaining preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts. This is a loaded roster with few holes or opportunities to steal a starting spot or carve out a key role on offense or defense. With the Ravens set to begin preparation for Dallas, we're releasing another 53-man roster prediction with a few surprises. Random note: The Baltimore Ravens have granted outside linebacker David Ojabo an international roster exemption, opening up a spot for an extra player this offseason. According to "a qualifying international player is a person whose citizenship and principal place of residence are outside the United States and Canada, and who has a maximum of two years of United States high school experience." Ojabo, a 2022 second-round pick out of Michigan by the Ravens, was born in Nigeria but moved to Scotland in 2007. At 17, he moved to the United States and played basketball at Blair Academy in Blairstown, New Jersey. Soon after, he switched to football and became teammates with Baltimore outside linebacker Odafe Oweh. Ojabo now enters a pivotal fourth season in the NFL, and while he will not count against a roster spot for now, he will still count on the 53-man roster once the season starts. QB: 2 Lamar Jackson Cooper Rush Lamar Jackson is an MVP candidate. Cooper Rush and Devin Leary looked out of sorts in the opener, but Rush is still among the NFL's most reliable backups. Baltimore could eventually look to bring in a third quarterback. RB: 5 Derrick Henry Justice Hill Keaton Mitchell Rasheen Ali Pat Ricard Baltimore has a solid four at running back, and Rasheen Ali made it difficult for the Ravens to release him. WR: 6 Zay Flowers DeAndre Hopkins Rashod Bateman LaJohntay Wester Devontez Walker Tylan Wallace The final six spots at wide receiver will look similar, with DeAndre Hopkins replacing Nelson Agholor, and LaJohntay Wester being added via the NFL draft. The Ravens drafted LaJohntay Wester and will look for Devontez Walker to take the next steps. TE: 3 Mark Andrews Isaiah Likely Charlie Kolar Baltimore goes chalk at tight end, bringing back its top three players from 2024, all of whom have expiring contracts. He continues to shine as one of the best players in the league, cementing his legacy as one of the best to ever play the sport. Summers usually feature James emphasizing the importance of conditioning, which helps assure him that he can remain active for many seasons. This one was different as he underwent surgery to repair his MCL, which he injured during the Lakers' first-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. While he took the time he needed to heal from it, he has been more relaxed as he partook in golf to spend his days in the offseason. That much was the case after he posted a video on his Instagram page that shows how much investment he is putting into the sport. 'Addicted. Yep, I know. I'm sorry,' James said. What lies ahead for LeBron James, Lakers It was a humorous video for LeBron James to post, continuing to have fun in the summer before he reports to the Lakers for training camp in the fall. James is coming off another All-NBA campaign last season. He averaged 24.4 points, 8.2 assists, 7.8 rebounds, and one steal per game after 70 appearances. He shot 51.3% from the field, including 37.6% from beyond the arc, and 78.2% from the free-throw line. His historic efforts at age 40 earned him a spot on the All-NBA second team, an All-Star selection, and a sixth-place finish in MVP voting. James still has what it takes to be a star for the Lakers, who retooled the roster surrounding him and Luka Doncic this summer. They added Jake LaRavia, Deandre Ayton, Marcus Smart in free agency on top of signing multiple two-way deals with younger talents. Title contention is certainly within the Lakers' reach, especially with James and Doncic headlining the squad. Challenges will certainly come their way when they progress through the 2025-26 season, but they have the talent to make noise in the Western Conference. A'ja Wilson shocked at becoming first WNBA player with a 30-20 double-double
LAS VEGAS — There was only one way Las Vegas Aces coach Becky Hammon could describe reigning WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson becoming the first player in league history to register a 30-20 double-double . 'It's just A'ja being A'ja,' she said. She shook her head in awe. 'She probably could have had one of these in the past,' Hammon added. 'I never let her really go to the offensive glass this year, where we've been emphasizing that more.' Wilson finished with 32 points on 13-of-25 shooting to go along with her second-career 20-rebound night, leading the Aces to a 94-86 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Sunday night. It was her 14th double-double of the season. 'It's huge,' said Wilson, who registered her 30th career 30-point game and sixth this season. 'I didn't even know, as many greats as we have in this league, it's kind of a shocker that it's just now happening. It's a blessing. I love what I do. I love what I do. I love it so much, so anytime that I can come out and just play basketball the way that I love it, and the team, and we're all getting involved — I'm happy with that.' Teammate Jackie Young said Wilson never ceases to amaze. 'Every night she shows up, and I think that's why she's so great at what she does,' Young said. 'She's a super hard worker, so it's cool to see her hard work pay off. At the same time, they're bringing double teams to her, triple teams to her, and she's having to navigate that and play out of it. She's still able to put up insane numbers every night.' Wilson, who this season became the fastest and second-youngest player to score 5,000 career points , ranks first for 30-point games since entering the league in 2018.
