Bayer Leverkusen made the dream start to their Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.
Inside the opening 30 minutes, Jeremie Frimpong gave his side the lead to round off a well-worked move involving Florian Wirtz.
Immediately after scoring, the Dutchman headed straight for Xabi Alonso to celebrate, with it being the manager's final home game in charge of the club.

Dortmund did respond quickly, however, and levelled the scoreline through former Leverkusen man Julian Brandt, before Julian Ryerson gave the visitors the lead before the break.

Liverpool up their bid for Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz to £113m
Liverpool have increased their offer for Florian Wirtz to £113m in an attempt to seal a club record deal for the Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder. The Premier League champions had a £109m bid for the Germany international rejected last weekend but, following further talks between the two clubs, have submitted a new package that would guarantee Leverkusen £100m plus £13m in add-ons. The offer, however, still falls short of the German club's £126m valuation and Liverpool appear unwilling to meet their asking price. Negotiations will continue in an attempt to conclude what would be Liverpool's record transfer. Wirtz has made it clear he is keen to complete a move to Anfield and Liverpool are confident a deal will be struck for the coveted 22-year-old.

Liverpool has made an improved bid to German side Bayer Leverkusen in the pursuit of talented attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz, hoping to end a protracted transfer saga that started in mid-May. In the late evening on Friday night UK-time, Paul Joyce of the Times reports the Reds have upped their anti to £113 million ($153 million) — £100 million ($135 million) base and up to £13 million ($18 million) in add-ons.
