Eagles massive offensive tackle prospect named the one undrafted free agent to watch PFF named former Rutgers road grader Hollin Pierce the one Eagles undrafted free agent to watch for the 2025 NFL season
Jeff Stoutland has a history of developing massive offensive linemen, and the Eagles veteran coach and run game coordinator landed himself another potential gem in former Rutgers tackle Hollin Pierce.
The reigning Super Bowl champions signed the Trenton, New Jersey native to a contract as an undrafted free agent shortly after the conclusion of the NFL Draft in April. Philadelphia has a solid track record of identifying talented undrafted players, and Reed Blankenship has developed into a Pro Bowl-caliber safety.
PFF recently looked at the undrafted free agent to watch, and Pierce was front and center for the Eagles.
There may not be any more room on the Eagles' roster for offensive linemen. Howie Roseman and company traded for Kenyon Green, signed Kendall Lamm and Matt Pryor, and drafted Myles Hinton and Drew Kendall — all to back up the team's entrenched starters.
Still, Pierce is a prospect to watch at Eagles training camp. He surrendered only two sacks across more than 800 pass-blocking snaps from 2023 to 2024 at 6-foot-8 and 341 pounds. Those measurements compare favorably to left tackle Jordan Mailata, whom the Eagles and coach Jeff Stoutland developed from a seventh-round draft pick into a second-team All-Pro.
Pierce is a 6-foot-8, 341-pound prospect who graduated from Trenton High and started 51 games over the last five years at Rutgers, including every game at left tackle in 2023 and 2024.
Pierce joined the Rutgers football program in 2020 as a walk-on and lost 100 pounds after weighing 455 pounds at one point.

Washington Star Terry McLaurin Makes Major Announcement Ahead of Commanders Mini-Camp

Washington Star Terry McLaurin Makes Major Announcement Ahead of Commanders Mini-Camp originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Going into the 2025 NFL season, the Washington Commanders are a popular pick to be one of the best teams in the conference, if not the entire NFL. Thanks to the play of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels a year ago, the Commanders made a surprising run to the NFC Championship game and became one of the most exciting young teams in the league. Advertisement However, there might be some trouble brewing in Washington D.C. On Tuesday, it was revealed that Pro Bowl wide receiver Terry McLaurin would be holding out and not attending the Commanders' mandatory mini-camp over an ongoing contract dispute with the team. Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (17).Bill Streicher-Imagn Images McLaurin has been away from the team throughout OTAs this spring as well as he continues to lobby for a new contract, and that absence will continue this summer at mini-camp until they can figure something out. McLaurin is in the final year of his three-year contract that was signed with Washington, and is set to earn $19.65 million in 2025. However, with the mini-camp holdout, the two-time Pro-Bowler will accrue fines of over $100k in order to send a message to the team that he is serious about getting paid. Advertisement If the two sides can not come to an agreement, there is the potential that a trade takes place. Teams around the league like the Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers have been floated as potential landing spots should that happen. In six years with Washington, McLaurin has 6,379 yards and 38 touchdowns. He was the top target for Daniels, who was the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2024, catching 82 passes for 1,096 yards and 13 touchdowns, a career year. If the Commanders are to make the deep run in 2025 and 2026 that many are projecting, McLaurin will likely need to be a big part of it. Patriots coach Mike Vrabel shares update on WR Stefon Diggs

New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel shared an update on wide receiver Stefon Diggs when speaking with media members ahead of mandatory minicamp. The four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver has been working through the offseason program as a limited participant due to the ACL injury he suffered with the Houston Texans last season. He was seen at OTAs running drills and helping to coach up his teammates from the sideline. Advertisement Along with contributing on the stat sheet, the Patriots are hoping Diggs can help bring the younger receivers along in their development. Vrabel is pleased with how Diggs has remained engaged despite being limited with the ACL injury. "He's trying to figure out where everything is and what his role is and making sure that as we add those situations—the third down, the no-huddle and red zone—that he's staying up on it, working hard in his rehab," said Vrabel, via NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. "Certain drills he can be out there and there's certain drills that he won't be, but I think he's engaged and I like his energy." Diggs stepping in and contributing right away as a locker room leader is a great sign for the Patriots. There are currently 12 receivers on the roster with plenty of untapped talent. It could be a game-changer if Diggs could get some of those players going, including second-year wideouts Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker. Advertisement Sure, the Patriots needed a top receiving weapon, but they also needed a leader in that room with the resume of a true No. 1 receiver. They might have found both with Diggs.
