Eagles massive offensive tackle prospect named the one undrafted free agent to watch
Eagles massive offensive tackle prospect named the one undrafted free agent to watch PFF named former Rutgers road grader Hollin Pierce the one Eagles undrafted free agent to watch for the 2025 NFL season Jeff Stoutland has a history of developing massive offensive linemen, and the Eagles veteran coach and run game coordinator landed himself another potential gem in former Rutgers tackle Hollin Pierce. The reigning Super Bowl champions signed the Trenton, New Jersey native to a contract as an undrafted free agent shortly after the conclusion of the NFL Draft in April. Philadelphia has a solid track record of identifying talented undrafted players, and Reed Blankenship has developed into a Pro Bowl-caliber safety. PFF recently looked at the undrafted free agent to watch, and Pierce was front and center for the Eagles. There may not be any more room on the Eagles' roster for offensive linemen. Howie Roseman and company traded for Kenyon Green, signed Kendall Lamm and Matt Pryor, and drafted Myles Hinton and Drew Kendall — all to back up the team's entrenched starters. Still, Pierce is a prospect to watch at Eagles training camp. He surrendered only two sacks across more than 800 pass-blocking snaps from 2023 to 2024 at 6-foot-8 and 341 pounds. Those measurements compare favorably to left tackle Jordan Mailata, whom the Eagles and coach Jeff Stoutland developed from a seventh-round draft pick into a second-team All-Pro. Pierce is a 6-foot-8, 341-pound prospect who graduated from Trenton High and started 51 games over the last five years at Rutgers, including every game at left tackle in 2023 and 2024. Pierce joined the Rutgers football program in 2020 as a walk-on and lost 100 pounds after weighing 455 pounds at one point.

NFL Draft expert touts Eagles undrafted rookie as a potential training camp sleeper
Each stage of the journey places a checkmark next to another task on the Philadelphia Eagles to-do list. There was a Senior Bowl, then a Super Bowl. Once the confetti fell on the Birds and the victory parade followed, there was no time to blink during the offseason. There was another NFL Scouting Combine, the new league year began, and there was a free-agency frenzy, Pro Days, Top 30 Visits, and the 2025 NFL Draft. Once the selection meeting wrapped up, Philly continued to stock its cupboard by adding nine undrafted rookie free agents. One recently earned a nice mention from a trusted NFL Draft expert. Keep an eye on Eagles UDFA Hollin Pierce when Philadelphia begins training camp. We enter Phase 2 of the Eagles' offseason workout program with Philly's rookie minicamp in the books. OTA (organized team activities) dates are as follows: May 27-28, May 30, June 2-3, and June 5. Mandatory minicamp follows on June 10. Don't blink because, if the NFL offseason hasn't taught you anything else, you should know things move quickly. Training camp should offer intriguing position battles at the bottom half of the Eagles' preseason depth chart. One features an offensive line, and one of the Birds' talented undrafted rookie free agents. Ryan Fowler is a college football and NFL analyst for The Draft Network. He recently mentioned offensive tackle Hollin Pierce as someone who could surprise during camp and catapult himself onto the 53-man roster. Pierce cut his teeth collegiately at Rutgers with the Scarlet Knights. He earned Second-team All-Big Ten honors in 2024. He stands at six feet eight. He tips the scales at 341 pounds. There are whispers that he is being compared to Mekhi Becton. draft expert Lance Zierlein gives him a grade of 6.00, meaning he has the "traits or talent to become an above average backup". He was projected to be a fifth-round draftee. According to Pro Football Focus, he was only penalized four times during 3,100 snaps. In Jeff Stoutland's hands, this young man can be a monster.

3 offensive tackles the Rams could target on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL draft
The Los Angeles Rams are entering the offseason with arguably two needs at the offensive tackle position. Starting blindside protector Alaric Jackson is slated for free agency, and right tackle Rob Havenstein is an aging asset who isn't guaranteed to return in 2025. That means general manager Les Snead may draft multiple offensive tackles in the 2025 NFL draft. Snead has done an outstanding job finding value in late-round tackles. After all, Jackson was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2021, and Havenstein was a 2015 second-rounder. With a need for at least one developmental tackle on the roster, we've identified three prospects Snead could target in the later rounds of the 2025 NFL draft. Hollin Pierce | Rutgers Hollin Pierce was one of the most intriguing tackle prospects on the all-star circuit this year. Pierce checked into the East-West Shrine Bowl as a 6-foot-7, and 342-pound specimen with historically impressive arm length (nearly 37 inches). There are some technical warts to work through, but the Rutgers standout possesses all of the required tools. Logan Brown | Kansas Kansas' Logan Brown got somewhat lost in the Senior Bowl hype, but he quietly enjoyed a productive week in Mobile. Brown is an outstanding athlete with plus-level mobility on tape. That always appeals to Sean McVay and his creative offensive scheme. Gerard Christian-Lichtenhan | Oregon State Gerard Christian-Lichtenhan was probably the most impressive tackle at this year's East-West Shrine. He's a legit 6-foot-8 towering prospect with nearly 36 inch arms. Christian-Lichtenhan moves incredibly well for a tackle prospect with intimidating size.
