Oasis fans in Manchester get good news compared to Cardiff gigs
The band's loyal supporters have been greeted by a welcome announcement when entering the gig venue Heaton Park

Oasis fans attending the band's second leg of their reunion tour in Manchester have received welcome news ahead of tonight's opening gig at Heaton Park. After outcry over the prices of a pint at the Principality Stadium, drinks prices are going to be far lower for the second set of gigs.
Liam and Noel Gallagher are back in their hometown ready to perform the first of five gigs at Heaton Park. They will perform there on Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12.
They will then return to perform there on Wednesday, July 16, Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20. It follows their historic first gigs on stage together in 16 years at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
And those attending the outdoor gigs will have to fork out less money at the bar than those who attended their gigs in the Welsh capital. A pint of lager and cider is priced at £6.50 for those attending Heaton Park shows.
This is a marked difference from the Cardiff shows, where a pint of beer was priced at £8.20 and a half £4.10.
It wasn't the only place that fans were stung over drinks prices in Cardiff, as fans voiced their discontent after nearby Wetherspoons establishments, which implemented a price surge at three of its pubs in the centre of the city.

Despite the inflated prices, for drinks as well as tickets, fans filtering out of the Principality Stadium gave glowing reviews to our reporters, describing it as "the best gig ever", "ten out of ten" and "worth every penny."
Others described it as "absolutely amazing" and "an emotional, out of body experience."
The media also lauded the return of the band, with publications across the world united in its assessments to give the gig five stars.
This included WalesOnline's Kathryn Williams who described Liam's voice as "faultless." The city was abuzz with Oasis fever for an entire weekend, with merchandise stores, an exhibition of priceless items displayed and its music pumping out of most pubs.
Tickets for the Oasis reunion sold out across all venues due to huge demand when they went online earlier in the year.
However, there are still several options available for fans trying to snag a last-minute spot.
Limited last-minute tickets can be bought from the official Ticketmaster resale site, where fans who can no longer go can sell their seats, although these tend to go in and out of stock quickly.
Viagogo and resale tickets
Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs.
Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.
Elsewhere, resale sites like Viagogo, Vivid Seats, StubHub, and Twickets are selling tickets for various dates with prices from £121, although fans should always bear in mind that many official sites, such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation, discourage the purchase of resale tickets.

Hamilton Rock Choir hit high notes at Edinburgh festival
Members took to the stage for three performances at the busy arts festival Songbirds from Hamilton Rock Choir joined the throng of performers taking part in this year's Edinburgh fesrival fringe – and even enjoyed an unexpected encore as they took to the stage on the same night as Oasis rocked nearby Murrayfield. More than 70 members of the busy Hamilton group took to the stage at three different shows in the capital, including a sold-out performance at the Space Triplex venue, where they showcased their vocal talents by sharing a wide selection of their repertoire with appreciative audiences. They also had the perfect song to serenade their bus driver en route home after a standout show, becoming rock 'n' roll stars as they celebrated their successful appearances with a rendition of Roll With It. Members of the Hamilton group featured in popular performances entertaining crowds outside landmark Edinburgh restaurant The Dome, at the busy Brewhemia venue and on stage at Space Triplex, which is Rock Choir's main concert venue throughout the festival. Led by choir conductor Jen Bonnar, they joined forces with members of her other groups based in Greenock, Helensburgh, Houston and Paisley to delight listeners with a 45-minute set featuring 10 of their favourite songs – Sweet Child of Mine, Unwritten, Learn to Fly, Two Hearts, Flashdance, I Don't Want to Miss a Thing, Haven't Met You Yet, Don't Stop Me Now, Roll With it and Call Me. The local singers were among 40 Rock Choirs from across the UK who performed in turn across 23 nights at the festival, receiving an 'overwhelming reaction' from audiences. Choir leader Jen praised her singers and told how they enjoyed their 'own little rock 'n' roll moment', saying: 'I couldn't be prouder of my choirs performing at three different venues at the Edinburgh fringe including a sold-out show, drawing huge crowds and soaking up the city's electric atmosphere. 'Our Fringe adventure ended with an unexpected encore! On the coach home, our driver casually mentioned he was a huge Oasis fan – so the whole choir burst into Roll With It just for him. 'He was grinning from ear to ear, filming the moment on his phone like it was his own private gig; it was the perfect end to an incredible day.' Members 'returned home on a high' from their Edinburgh shows, with many taking part in their first major event and delivering 'confident, uplifting' performances of the Rock Choir repertoire of pop, rock and contemporary songs. Michael Sheen on 'scary' lack of opportunity for Welsh kids
Michael Sheen has spoken about the importance of having come from the same town as other notable Welsh actors as he expressed his concerns about the increasing difficulties faced by young people trying to break into acting. Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival, in a conversation with Jane Tranter, TV producer and CEO of Bad Wolf, he reflected on his own experiences attending youth theatre in Port Talbot. He explained that many of the opportunities he had as a youngster "have gone". Michael also noted how important it was to see people from where you're from on the biggest platforms, inspiring young people to follow suit, and the value of bringing more opportunities out of London. He said: "It is quite scary. I look back on my pathway of coming through, starting with a supportive family, coming from an area, you know it was old steel town and, sort of tough place to grow up in, not the sort of place you'd expect actors to come from but because we had Richard Burton that came from there and Anthony Hopkins .. "I again, one of the things I've realised as time has gone on is how important it is to see where you come from, represented on the world stage, and to know that it's possible. "I never questioned whether you could be successful as an actor, because Burton and Hopkins were and they came from this town." Michael's other show Nye, a portrayal of the life of Welsh Labour Party politician Aneurin "Nye" Bevan, returns to the Wales Millennium Centre on Friday, August 22, for a spree of shows following a sell-out run last year. The play has been described as a 'valiant and valuable affirmation of the NHS ' as it tells the story of arguably Wales' most influential politician who transformed Britain's welfare state.
