Jr NTR Recalls First Fan Who Said ‘I'd Die For You' At War 2 Hyderabad Event
Last Updated: August 11, 2025, 21:07 IST
Jr NTR will next be seen in War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan.
At the grand pre-release event of War 2 in Hyderabad, Jr NTR took a moment to express heartfelt gratitude to the fans who have stood by him over the past 25 years. The RRR star, often called The Man of the Masses, said his journey wouldn't have been possible without their unwavering support.
Jr NTR's Emotional Memory of His First Fan
Sharing a deeply personal memory, the 42-year-old actor recalled meeting his very first fan before his debut film had even released. 'My career began 25 years ago with Ninnu Choodalani, introduced under the banner of the late Sri Ramoji Rao garu. On that opening day, I walked in alone, with just my father and mother by my side. The first fan I ever met was Mujeeb from Adoni. I asked him, 'Who are you?' He said, 'I am your fan, sir. I'd die for you.'"
NTR admitted that at the time, he had no films in theatres, yet this early connection marked the beginning of a bond with millions of fans who now walk the journey with him. 'From that day to today – to see millions of fans walking this journey with me – it's a blessing from previous births," he said, visibly moved.
War 2 Release And Frenzy
The event also saw NTR sharing the stage with his War 2 co-star Hrithik Roshan. The Bollywood actor appeared amazed by the frenzy surrounding NTR, later telling the crowd that he had found 'a real-life brother" in Tarak.
However, there was a brief moment of tension when Jr NTR spotted a fan disrupting the proceedings. Addressing him directly, NTR said, 'Brother, shall I leave? What did I just say? Maintain silence when I speak. It won't take me a second to keep the mic down and leave the stage. Shall I speak? Then, maintain silence."
Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by YRF, War 2 features Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani. The film releases on August 14 and is expected to perform strongly, especially in Andhra Pradesh, where NTR commands a massive following. Interestingly, it will face stiff competition at the box office from Rajinikanth's Coolie. Shrishti Negi
