Prince George Was ‘The Star of the Room' at a Recent Royal Outing That Made His Parents ‘Very Proud'

Yahoo4 days ago
As he continues learning about his future role as King of England, Prince George is taking it all in stride. He's embracing his destiny with enthusiasm and intelligence, which were both on display at a recent royal outing. Insiders revealed that the 12-year-old was the 'the star of the room' at an event, which made his parents 'very proud' — and it's clear that he's going to one day wear the crown with honor!
Back in May, Prince George and his younger siblings Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, attended the 80th anniversary of VE Day in London with their parents Prince William and Kate Middleton. At the event, a D-Day veteran named Alfred Littlefield told Prince William, 'You should be very proud' after Prince George respectfully listened and asked lots of questions.

Another source at the event told Hello!, 'George was the star of the room,' the insider said. 'He was engrossed in conversation with many of the veterans, who were delighted to speak to him as well. He was enjoying it, hearing about guns and submarines and tanks.'
Other family members, including the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Princess Royal, were at the event too, and everyone seemed really supportive of George on this serious day. 'It was a safe, familiar place,' the source told the outlet. 'William and Kate were clearly trying to give him a good experience. They both appeared protective, putting an arm around him from time to time, but they looked very proud of him by the end.'
Royal author Robert Hardman told the outlet, 'It's all part of a slow, incremental move towards his destiny.'
'They've always been very clear about pacing it, not making the children do anything that puts them off the idea of being royal in the future,' Hardman continued. 'It's a case of including him in things that he'll enjoy but that also touch on his life to come. George will one day be commander-in-chief of the armed forces and will almost certainly do a bit of time in one of the forces, so meeting veterans felt very appropriate.'
This isn't the first time Prince George has shown an interest in military life. In September, he took a first flying lesson at White Waltham Airfield in Maidenhead, England, where an onlooker told The Sun, 'He loved it. It's the right time to start.'
The insider added that the Prince and Princess of Wales seemed happy as they looked on from the ground. 'The Royal Family has a proud tradition of flying and it looks like George is next in line,' the source said, adding, 'His parents watched George take flight from the safety of the ground but he flew with an instructor and loved it.'
He's sporty and adventurous, yet serious and smart when the need arises. And, of course, charming at all times. It's clear to see that Prince George will grow up to be an amazing king!Best of SheKnows

Rod Stewart sparks backlash with ‘disrespectful' AI-generated Ozzy Osbourne tribute

Foolish Behaviour. Rod Stewart is facing scrutiny for paying tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne with an AI-generated clip at one of his recent concerts. The video from the 'Maggie May' singer's show on Friday, August, 1, was captured by a concertgoer and showed footage of Osbourne celebrating in Heaven with other deceased music legends like Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Prince, Kurt Cobain, Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse and George Michael as Stewart's 1988 hit 'Forever Young' played in the background. 'Rod Stewart really thought this was a brilliant idea. 😑,' one person responded to the footage. 'I've seen some s—ty AI visuals in concerts but this is a new low. We truly are in the end times,' another replied. Several people insisted that Prince would be the most upset about his image being used for the AI video. 12 The AI-generated clip also showed Ozzy Osbourne with the late Amy Winehouse. iamsloanesteel/Instagram Advertisement 12 Rod Stewart has not responded to the backlash.'Weekend at Bernie's vibes. Prince didn't even want his music on Spotify and changed his name to a Symbol to protect his intellectual property I'm 100% sure he wouldn't have signed off on Rod Stuart Puppeteering his face for this tacky 💩,' someone wrote, while a second commented, 'Prince would beat rod stewart with hammers if he knew about this.' Prince changed his name to the unpronounceable symbol in 1993, with many speculating it was a ploy to get out of his contract with his longtime label, Warner Bros. Records. The 'Purple Rain' singer, who died in 2016 at age 57, was then referred to as the 'Artist Formerly Known as Prince.' Zendaya and fiancé Tom Holland reunite to walk dogs ahead of ‘Spider-Man' filming

Zendaya and Tom Holland have been reunited after weeks of separate work obligations. The couple were photographed by the British tabloid The Sun enjoying some downtime strolling through London's Richmond Park with their dogs. Both actors wore casual outfits — Zendaya in a pink sweater and long black shorts, and Holland sporting a blue T-shirt and a red hat embroidered with the name of his non-alcoholic beer company, Bero. Though she was dressed down from her usual glam, the Oakland native still had on her dazzling engagement ring, a 5.02-carat diamond designed by London-based jeweler Jessica McCormack. Zendaya and Holland are now in Glasgow, Scotland to begin production on 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day,' which is expected to hit theaters on July 31. Prior to that, the ' Euphoria ' star was in Budapest filming 'Dune: Part Three,' while Holland spent time in England to promote Bero during Wimbledon. Earlier this year, the two were filming Christopher Nolan's mythic action flick ' The Odyssey, ' due out July 17. The forthcoming films and their subsequent press tours are a big reason why the couple's wedding won't be happening anytime soon, according to Law Roach, Zendaya's longtime stylist and friend. 'The process hasn't even started yet,' Roach told E! News at the Las Culturistas Culture Awards last month. 'We have a lot of time.' 'She and Tom are super private about their relationship,' he told Complex in May. 'They try to be as private as possible, so like, there won't be a Vogue spread, or there won't be, you know, pictures of the wedding.' He added, 'The people that she will invite will be really respectful of their privacy.' Zendaya and Holland have been private about their relationship for years, and only went public when paparazzi leaked photos of them kissing in a car in 2021. Neither actor has spoken about their upcoming nuptials, but Zendaya showed off her engagement ring at the Golden Globe Awards in January. Holland's father was the one who later confirmed the news.

Moms Are Getting Skewered for Using ChatGPT's Parenting Advice Because of Course We Are

Anything that makes moms' lives a tiny fraction easier should be taken away, right? Because moms are supposed to suffer — how else would we know that they are truly good mothers? At least, living in 2025, that's what it feels like. In this Handmaids Tale-era, with abortion rights being stripped away, governmental benefits like SNAP being slashed, and even research into childhood diseases being defunded, it feels like everyone wants moms to live in pure misery. And even when we've found little ways to fight back and help ease our burdens, we get slammed for it. Enter: ChatGPT. Sure, it's OK if tech bros want to use it to make their work burdens easier or men use it to menu plan, but god forbid a woman try to share her mental load with artificial intelligence. Grab the pitchforks, folks! More from SheKnows Teens Are Considering 'Influencing' & OnlyFans 'Modeling' as Valid Career Options Take TikToker Lilian Schmidt (@heylilianschmidt), for example. She started posting videos of using generative AI to help her 'co-parent' and has received a ton of hate for it. The influencer used ChatGPT to create shopping lists, menu plans, help plan birthday parties and vacations, make bedtime easier, and so much more. 'I've built my own bot to be our co-parent,' the Switzerland mom of a 3-year-old told New York Post. She added that she uses ChatGPT 'to make me a better mom.' Schmidt credits 'the mental load' for her use of ChatGPT, adding that her partner is 'very involved with the kids and does his fair share,' but that still leads her to 'do the thinking.' 'I asked ChatGPT to assume the role of a toddler therapist,' Schmidt told the outlet, 'someone who understands their development. I asked it 'help me understand why bed time is hard for her.' For the last nearly four years we'd been told, 'She needs to relax, calm down, nothing overstimulating.' But she'd never just lie down. ChatGPT told us she needs stimulating. Let her jump around on her bed.' 'We've never once had a power struggle again. There are no tears or fights anymore. Within five to 10 minutes she goes to bed,' she added. In a world where therapy is expensive (especially if it takes a while to find the right therapist), I don't blame her at all for turning to ChatGPT for some ideas. After all, we use to have a village of support we could lean on and ask for advice and opinions. Now we have ChatGPT — and some people aren't happy about it. People took to X to shame Schmidt. 'To be honest, for some people there's nothing ChatGPT could do that make their parenting worse,' someone wrote, per Daily Dot. Another said, 'On the bright side, ChatGPT is definitely a better parent than a mother who would leave her kids for an AI to babysit. So they're getting higher quality care than they would were she just doing it herself.' It's not like she's sitting her kids in front of a computer and letting ChatGPT watch them. She's literally asking for advice on healthy recipes, looking to it for guidance on common problems, asking it to make coloring pages and bedtime stories for her daughter. Those of us who are wary of AI's impact on the environment raise a brow, but otherwise, who cares? This is no different from Googling problems or reading books or asking your parenting Facebook groups. And Schmidt isn't the only ones who turn to tech to help with motherhood. A 2024 study found that 74 percent of parents of kids ages 5-8 used ChatGPT. One mom asked on the Toddlers subreddit how to 'use ChatGPT to make your life easier as a parent?' and some people left pretty mean comments like 'f— ai.' 'With respect, please think twice before using it for parenting or anything else,' another person wrote. 'It is (literally) a plagiarism machine that feeds you unvetted information based on whatever patterns it thinks it sees in whatever its data inputs are.' Someone else warned, 'Do not use ChatGPT / Large Language Model AIs to diagnose or treat your child.' Which, fair. AI should never be used in place of a therapist or pediatrician or turned to for legitimate medical advice. Others were positive, though, including people who suggested using it to make up songs using their children's name, write thank you notes to teachers, and, yes, meal plan. In a previous interview with SheKnows, bestselling author and founder of Good Inside Dr. Becky Kennedy opened up about parents' mental health. 'There are so many causes of stress and burnout and mental health concerns [for parents],' Dr. Becky told us. 'The big theme that's on my mind is how demanding it is to be a parent right now.' She added, 'There even seems to be shame around seeking support, because of the old narrative that this is just supposed to be done by instinct.' (And she's not even talking about support by ChatGPT — just support, period!) 'When we remind ourselves, 'this feels hard because it is hard, not because I'm doing something wrong,'' Dr. Becky told us, 'we stop living in shame, and we feel more empowered to go get support.' Whether that's from a friend, a mental health professional, or ChatGPT (or all of the above), moms deserve support any way they can get it. These celebrity parents have admitted to .
