In the golden era of Hindi cinema, a young actress found herself captivated by a charismatic figure who wasn't even part of her film's cast. His mere presence on set disrupted the shoot, leaving her flustered and unable to focus. This unexpected encounter marked the beginning of a memorable association between two iconic personalities of Indian cinema. Who is this actress?
The actress we are talking about is Sharmila Tagore, and the man who left her spellbound was none other than Late Shashi Kapoor. During the filming of 'Kashmir Ki Kali,' where Sharmila starred opposite legendary actor Late Shammi Kapoor, Shashi made an unannounced visit to the set to see his brother. Sharmila recalled that upon seeing Shashi, she was so mesmerized by his handsomeness that she couldn't concentrate on her scenes. The situation escalated to the point where director Shakti Samanta had to politely ask Shashi to leave so that the shoot could proceed smoothly. What films did Sharmila Tagore and Shashi Kapoor do together?
Sharmila's admiration for Shashi didn't end there. She described him as the most handsome man she had ever seen and expressed that she enjoyed working with him more than any other co-star. Their on-screen chemistry was evident in several films they did together, including 'Waqt,' 'Aa Gale Lag Jaa,' and My Love.
However, after this, she collaborated with 'Jumping Jack of Bollywood,' Jeetendra in 'Mere Humsafar' helmed by Dulal Guha and 'Khushboo' helmed by Gulzar, which turned out to be a successful collaboration between two actors. When Sharmila Tagore questioned Rajesh Khanna's stardom?
Sharmila has also worked in many hit films with Late Rajesh Khanna. The actress has also written the preface of co-star Rajesh Khanna's biography 'Dark Star: The Loneliness of Being Rajesh Khanna'. In which she wrote 'Why he became a struggler from a superstar. He could not maintain his success. Like his friendship, Kaka also let his stardom slip from his hands, he did not change with time, people started making fun of him. This was the reason for his falling career graph.'
It is worth mentioning that both of them have worked together in superhit films like Aradhana, Amar Prem, Daag and Avishkar between the years 1960 and 1970. But in Aradhana which came in the year 1969, they created history together.
For the unversed, Aradhana is recognized as one of the 17 consecutive successful films of Rajesh Khanna from 1969 to 1971. Aradhana became a massive success in both India and at that time the Soviet Union (now known as Russian Federation).

This actress created controversy when she romanced her own brother on big screens, shot movies during pregnancy, lost her memory due to..., she was...

If people think that controversies only erupted in Bollywood in the 2000s and the following years, then they are completely wrong. What if we tell you that controversies in Indian cinema go way back to the 1940s and 50s? Yes, that's correct. Today, we will discuss an actress who became embroiled in controversy when she romanced her own brother on-screen. If you are wondering who this actress was, let us tell you — we are talking about none other than Minoo Mumtaz. Who is Minoo Mumtaz? Minoo is the younger sister of legendary comedian Mehmood and the aunt of Lucky Ali. Minoo made her mark in Hindi cinema at the young age of just 13. Her father, Mumtaz Ali, was also a famous actor and dancer at Bombay Talkies. However, when Ali's career was destroyed due to alcohol addiction, his daughter Minoo Mumtaz took on the responsibility of caring for her seven siblings and joined a drama troupe. When poverty struck, Minoo, despite not being the eldest, had to take up the household responsibilities by performing in plays. After her, her elder brother Mehmood also started working as a child artist in films. When Minoo entered films with the 1955 movie Sakhi Hakim, she was just 13 years old. Minoo Mumtaz's elder brother and comedian Mehmood was married to Meena Kumari's sister, Madhu. Because of this relationship, Meena Kumari, who was the sister of Minoo's sister-in-law, helped her a lot. It was Meena Kumari who changed her name from Malikunnisa to Minoo Mumtaz when she entered the film industry. Minoo Mumtaz Romanced Her Elder Brother Minoo found herself in controversy when she was offered the song Gora Rang Chunariya Kali. Opposite Minoo in the song was her brother Mehmood. The two were seen romancing each other in the sequence. When the film was released, people were shocked. After the release, Minoo was surrounded by controversies, and many people even demanded that the brother-sister duo be banned from films. Minu tied the knot with Ali Akbar and had four kids. She was working even while pregnant. In 2003, Minu lost her memory and was taken to hsopital, the doctors told the family that she had a 4-inch tumor in her brain and it had been growing for the past 15 years. Minu Mumtaz died on October 23, 2021.

Tanushree Dutta to file police report detailing five years of harassment after emotional video outburst

Actor Tanushree Dutta has revealed that her recent emotional video on Instagram was a spontaneous outburst triggered by years of distress and harassment. Speaking to the media about the widely circulated video, Dutta said, "It was an outburst of the incidents happened in the last five years." While the specific incident that prompted her to contact the police was not major in isolation, Dutta explained that it was simply the tipping point. 'That video was spontaneous. But what I have been facing for the last almost five years, especially since 2020… That video was a culmination of what I have faced in the past five years,' she said. She further added, 'The incident that happened that day was not a very big one, but in the past five years so much has happened with me, that maybe it was time for it all to come out. Maybe it was all transpired by Mahadev. I was crying, thinking why is all this happening to me.' According to Dutta, after the video, she called the police who arrived for a brief inspection. 'I told them that this incident isn't the only thing and that lots of strange things have been happening with me for the past five years.' The police, after their preliminary visit, advised her to present her full account to senior officials. 'The police advised her to meet with the senior officials and to tell them everything in detail. So basically, the police has been informed but the details are yet to be given,' she shared. Dutta confirmed she plans to visit the station on Monday, July 28, to file a comprehensive report. 'I will go on Monday (July 28), along with my advocate and some friends. I will write down everything that has happened in the last five years, so that I don't forget anything.' Mujhe mere hi ghar mein pareshaan kiya jaa raha hai. I just called the cops. They came and asked me to come to the police station to launch a proper complaint. I will probably go tomorrow or day after. I am not well.'
