Al-Sultan Abdullah leads Aidiladha observance in Pahang
KUANTAN: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today performed the Aidiladha prayers with thousands of worshippers at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Mosque in Indera Mahkota here.
The ruler was accompanied by Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah and Tengku Mahkota of Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah.
Joining them were Tengku Arif Bendahara Pahang, Tengku Muhammad Iskandar Ri'ayatuddin Shah, and his wife Tengku Natasya Puteri Tengku Adnan.
The royal family was welcomed upon arrival at 8.30am by Pahang Agriculture, Agro-based Industry, Biotechnology and Education Committee chairman, Datuk Seri Ir Mohd Soffi Abd Razak.
He represented Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail who is away in Makkah, Saudi Arabia to perform the haj.
Also present at the mosque were Pahang state assembly speaker Datuk Seri Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin, state executive council members along with senior state administration officials.
The mosque's grand imam Mohd Hafidz Suhailie led the prayers while Pahang Mufti Professor Datuk Dr Asmadi Mohd Naim delivered the Aidiladha sermon.
After the prayers, the royal family also witnessed the sacrificial rites at the mosque compound which also involved cows donated by Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tengku Hasannal.
Meanwhile, in a post on the Kesultanan Pahang Facebook page, Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah extended their warmest Hari Raya Aidiladha greetings to Muslims including those across Pahang.
The posting wrote that Aidiladha serves as a reminder for Muslims to reflect the true meaning of sacrifice, sincerity, and unwavering devotion to Allah SWT.
"The spirit of sacrifice shown by Prophet Ibrahim AS and his son Prophet Ismail AS should serve as a guide for all of us in facing challenges and prioritising the well-being of the ummah," it said.
The royal couple also prayed that the qurban (sacrificial livestock) performed would be accepted by Allah SWT, bring blessings and unity to the community.
"May this celebration be observed with gratitude, harmony, and compassion among everyone. Let us together embrace the wisdom of Aidiladha by strengthening unity, increasing acts of worship, and continually praying for the well-being of our state and our beloved country," it read.

Volunteers share experiences in korban journey programme in Cambodia

Aswadi said the atmosphere during the sacrificial worship in Cambodia was very lively, with the involvement of the community. 'If in Malaysia most of the slaughtering programmes during Aidiladha are attended by mosque-goers, then here many residents come and compete to contribute their efforts from the slaughtering to the butchering process,' he said. They are among the 21 individuals involved in the programme aimed at serving the rural communities in Cambodia to fulfil the sacrificial rites and distribute aid to the Muslim community in the country. Previously, a delegation of Bank Rakyat volunteers, along with the residents, sacrificed 10 cows in Kampung Trapenh Pinh and 36 cows in Kampung Keh. After the sacrificial activities in both villages, volunteers with the help of the local residents distributed more than 3,500 kilogrammes of meat to the Muslim community in several villages in Kampot, including Kampung Samraong, Kampung Triek, Kampung Kandal and Kampung Prey Thnong.

Johor royal family donates 230 cows for 'korban' in conjunction with Aidiladha
JOHOR BARU: The Johor royal family graciously donated 230 cows for ibadah korban (ritual sacrifice) for distribution to those in need in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha. Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz said this bestowal not only eases the burden of the recipients but also ignites the spirit of sacrifice, sincerity, and compassion among the people of Johor. He said it embodied the true spirit of Aidiladha — fostering stronger bonds and extending support to those in need. "We express our highest gratitude for the gracious consent of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia and Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong Raja Zarith Sofiah, the Regent of Johor Tunku Mahkota Ismail, and the entire Johor royal family for the bestowal of 230 sacrificial cows to the people of Johor, especially to those in need, in conjunction with the celebration of Hari Raya Aidiladha 1446H/2025M. "We, along with all the people, especially the residents of Machap and Simpang Renggam, always pray that Your Majesties and family will always be under the protection and blessings of Allah SWT, granted prolonged health, extended lifespan, and continue to lead the state of Johor Darul Ta'zim and the nation of Malaysia with full wisdom, peace, and prosperity," he said via a post on Facebook today.
