The petition is addressed to Pensions Minister Torsten Bell and follows on from the actors' trade union pension announcing last year that its £130 million fund would exclude fossil fuel investments.
The petition has also been signed by comedian BAFTA Rising Star Nominee Nabhaan Rizwaan, Game of Thrones actor Carice Van Houten, Netflix stars Alex Lawther and Bessie Carter, Charity Wakefield and Jo Vanderham.
A coalition of more than 30 charities and trade unions are calling on the Pensions Minister to act urgently to protect savers' retirements, boost economic growth, and support the switch to a more sustainable economy.
That would include reforms to help people save more, incentivising pension funds to invest more in the UK economy, and phasing out investment in fossil fuels and other highly polluting sectors.
The campaign comes as the UK government undertakes the biggest review of the pensions system in a generation, and hopes that the government will use the opportunity to deliver better outcomes for savers and pensioners, the economy and the environment.
Richard Curtis sums up the issues the petition is campaigning about: 'Greener, fairer pensions are our superpower to protect the future for all generations. We need our leaders to put British savers and climate safety at the heart of the pensions reforms, to make sure our pension money is safely invested and part of creating a thriving planet to live on.
"There's no point inheriting a pension in a world on fire."
The petition, addressed to Pensions Minister Torsten Bell, calls for the government to:
Deliver decent pensions for all.
Fund a just transition to a thriving low-carbon economy.
Phase out investment in fossil fuels, deforestation and other harmful industries.
This is the latest effort from celebrities to raise the profile of greener pensions, with the actors' trade union Equity last year announcing that their £130 million pension fund would exclude fossil fuel investments.
Stars including Benedict Cumberbatch, Olivia Colman and Ambika Mod have fronted viral campaigns calling attention to UK pension investments in fossil fuels and deforestation.
The UK has one of the biggest pension systems in the world, but only a small percentage is invested in the UK economy.
The coalition behind the new campaign argue that changing this could boost economic growth and support other government priorities, including the switch to clean and affordable energy and upgrading the UK's housing stock.

At the same time, the review of the pensions system presents an opportunity to phase out investment in more harmful sectors. An estimated £88 billion of pension funds are still invested in coal, oil and gas, while a further £300 billion is invested in companies linked to deforestation.
Actor Alex Lawther, one of BAFTA's former Breakthrough Brits, adds: 'We all need to know that we're going to have at least two things to live on when we get to retirement - enough money and a safe planet. Our pensions can support that if they're invested in things like clean energy and upgrading our homes.
"Right now, billions of pounds of our money is still propping up the fossil fuel industry, which is causing extreme weather like floods and storms. This campaign is about telling the government that we want our money to be building a safe future instead."

'I stayed in a UK Center Parcs dupe and the location was simply unreal'
Louise, a mum-of-two, spent three nights at the retreat with her family and was very impressed with the facilities - as well as the price tag Center Parcs is a renowned UK staycation staple for many Brits, with vast parks in some of the most beautiful, rural settings. With sites in Suffolk, Bedfordshire, Wiltshire and Newark to name a few, getting to one of these locations couldn't be easier for many holidaymakers who don't want the fuss of flying. But, with many activities costing extra once there, the parks are often touted as expensive, and can rack up quite the bill. But one mum has revealed a budget-friendly option. Louise, a mum of two children aged nine and six, has come up with a cost-effective alternative that she claims offers a comparable experience without breaking the bank. "If you're looking for a cheap Center Parcs alternative, then this could be right up your street," she said on her Bored with Kids TikTok video. "We spent three nights here for just under 500 quid, or £40 per person per night." UK issues unusual 'rising tensions' warning as US orders diplomatic evacuations
The Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), a British maritime security agency, has taken measures following Donald Trump's move to issue evacuation orders for non-essential personnel The UK has issued an "unusual warning" to its commercial ships in the Middle East amid "rising tensions". The Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) fears "an escalation of military activity" is on the cards across the region, and believs security may be at risk. It says vessels must use the Arabian Gulf, Gulf of Oman and Straits of Hormuz, all of which pass Iran, with caution for the forseeable future. Iran publicly threatened to attack US military bases in the Middle East if they were attacked first. Donald Trump added fuel to the fire yesterday, crassly stating the country will never have a nuclear weapon whether a deal is reached or not. 'UKMTO has been made aware of increased tensions within the region which could lead to an escalation of military activity having a direct impact on mariners. Vessels are advised to transit the Arabian Gulf, Gulf of Oman and Straits of Hormuz with caution," the UKMTO said today. The Trump administration has issued evacuation orders for non-essential personnel at the US Embassy in Iraq, and its diplomatic facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth also told FOX News there would be voluntary departure for dependents of military personnel serving in the Central Command (CENTCOM) area of operations across the Middle East. This discourse led to the UKMTO advisory today as regional tensions surged. Iranian officials appeared to be responding to calls from hawks in the US to dismantle Iran's nuclear program by force if necessary. But Mr Trump was pessimistic when interviewed earlier this week. The US President said: "I don't know. I'm less confident now than I would have been a couple of months ago. Something happened to them, but I am much less confident of a deal being made." He spoke on the podcast Pod Force One on Monday, which explored in depth the tense situation across the Middle East. Meanwhile, suspected US airstrikes on Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen killed at least three people recently. Yemeni rebels said they shot down a £25m Reaper attack drone during April's onslaught, which indicated a possible US attack on Iran. It happened after the US moved six of its prized B-2 Strategic Stealth bombers to the secretive Indo-Pacific island base of Diego Garcia. Hours after the surprise announcement of the Washington-Tehran talks, Iran's foreign minister said the conversation in Oman would be "indirect" but could be "as much an opportunity as... a test." Mr Trump - who pulled the US out a 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers during his first term - said discussions would be at "very high level," as he delivered his warning to Tehran.
