Donda 2: Fans in a spin after Kanye West drops re-mixed ‘lost album' on streaming services for first time
Kanye West, aka Ye, has released Donda 2 … Again…
Considered by fans as the 'lost album', Ye revealed on a livestream he was planning on dropping the record, that was originally released in early 2022 on Tuesday night.
Donda 2, the sequel to Ye's 2021 album Donda and executive produced by Future, was only released on the now defunct Stem Player at the time, with some tracks unfinished, forgoing traditional streaming services.
In a post by DJ Akademiks, captioned, 'Ye wants to drop Donda 2 within the next couple of hours' on Tuesday, Ye could be seen working with collaborators on mixes for the album.

The latest version, released Tuesday evening to YouTube Music, Spotify and Tidal, under the artist name Donda, features 18 songs, many of which appeared on the original album, some with different names. The album includes guest appearances from XXXTENTACION, Don Toliver, Migos, Jack Harlow, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Baby Keem, Future and more. Several tracks also feature Future cameos, including 'Happy' and 'Mr. Miagi.'
In a Donda 2 listening party live stream, Ye explains Donda 2 is his first independent release that still wasn't completely finished, but he 'wanted to get the album out there'.
A perfectionist, Ye wants his art to be done his way, free from labels and contracts.
Fans were both excited and a little confused by the re-release, taking to X to share their thoughts.
'It's 2022 and Ye has released Donda 2. It's 2025 and Ye has released Donda 2' one wrote.
Another commented: 'Wyd tonight?' Listening to Donda 2 'Didn't that come out 3 years ago?'
Others seemed pretty impressed by the release.
'What a rollercoaster. There are hits and a few misses, but the hits far outweigh the misses. I actually surprisingly really enjoyed this album, then again its from 2022 when he wasn't washed. 8.5/10,' one fan reviewed.
'Enough time has passed, Kanye West 'DONDA 2' is album of the year,' concluded another.
While others were worried about the change in Ye's voice, 'You can hear the difference in Donda 2 Ye and current Ye, how he sounds so much worse is insane' one listener said.
Although not everyone was happy at first — Apple Music users were left feeling a little late to the party, with the album only hitting the streaming service about an hour ago.
'Where the hell is Donda 2 on Apple Music,' one wrote on X.
'Donda 2 on every streaming platform EXCEPT APPLE MUSIC of course,' another commented.
It's still unclear whether the album will be released to more streaming services.

NEWS OF THE WEEK: Kanye West ‘dreams' of apologising to Jay-Z
The controversial artist took to X to say that he often thinks about making amends. "All my dreams have been about apologising to Jay-Z.' The Chicago rapper and producer went on a rant about his mentor's kids earlier this year, insinuating that Jay and his wife Beyoncé's young twins, Rumi and Sir Carter, have mental disabilities. "Wait, has anyone ever seen Jay-Z and Beyonce's younger kids?" he wrote in a post. "No, like, literally, and this is why artificial insemination is such a blessing."

Pusha T brands Kanye West 'sick', says their working relationship is no more
Pusha T has branded Kanye West "sick" and declared their working relationship over. The rapper was signed to Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music label and even became president at one stage. They've worked together several times over the years, but their relationship hasn't been the same since Kanye's 2022 outbursts, including the antisemitic remarks that saw several huge brands cut ties with him, including Adidas and Balenciaga. In a new cover interview with GQ, Pusha T has addressed where he stands with the artist that inspired and championed him. He said: 'The one thing that I can say about him is that he knows that every issue that he's having and crying about online right now, I've told him distinctly about those things. He don't talk to me like he talks to others.' Pusha T has been straight up with the 'Stronger' hitmaker with regards to how he feels about his controversial views, and "why we can't build with each other no more." He continued: 'He knows I don't think he's a man. 'He knows it. And that's why we can't build with each other no more. That's why me and him don't click, because he knows what I really, really think of him. He's showed me the weakest sides of him, and he knows how I think of weak people.' Branding him "sick", he went on: 'If I take your sickness and take how calculated you've been and disruptive you've been and tried to be to me, then it cancels itself out. I can't look at it as sick, because you're detrimental. You're detrimental to everything.' Pusha T is featured on Kanye's track 'Diet Coke' on his album 'Donda 2', however, he spoke about feeling sidelined creatively during the recording sessions.
