Megan Skiendiel on her signature fragrance and skincare tips

Vogue Singapore25-04-2025

At the age of 19, Megan Skiendiel has graced both the stage and screen—and done so with aplomb, we might add. Whether she's belting a high note or striking a pose for the camera, it's safe to say that Skiendiel's glam is always dialled in. The Katseye member gives us the lowdown on her beauty secrets, from the skincare hack that has changed her life to the wellness practice she deems integral.
A nail look I'm currently obsessed with I love the Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in the shade 155 Rouge Noir.
My signature fragrance I'm a big fan of the Glossier You eau de parfum. It comprises notes of vibrant pink pepper, powdery iris and woody ambrette seeds.
The make-up trend I can't get enough of Blonde eyebrows. I adore the way they look, and there's something about super-thin arches, too, which I find really appealing.
Skincare tip Less is more. My complexion is a lot happier when I use a select few products that work for me.
A wellness practice that I religiously adhere to I'm very much committed to my Pilates routine.
The hair look I am dying to try I've tried a lot of different hair looks and colours, but the one that I'm really keen on getting done is a short, angular bob that looks almost like a pixie cut. Kind of like Monica from Friends .
Three desert-island make-up essentials First things first: the Kosas Brow Pop Dual-Action Defining Pencil to enhance my arches. Secondly, the Glossier Stretch Balm Concealer—I love how it covers everything, from acne to hyperpigmentation. And last but not least, the Glossier No. 1 Pencil.
The song that helps me get pumped before a big performance 'Blow' by Ke$ha.
An integral step in my wind-down routine It's not so much a step than it is a product: Aquaphor. I use it to lock in the moisture of my lips. I also use it on areas of my skin that have been affected by psoriasis, and it makes a world of difference in terms of soothing, calming, and hydrating.
The underrated beauty device that I wish more people knew about A red light massager from Amazon. It's the key to my skincare regimen. It's the only thing that helps calm down my acne and smooths out my complexion.

Half-Singaporean Katseye member Megan comes out as bisexual during livestream, Entertainment News

Coming out can be a difficult thing to do, but what better time to announce it than Pride Month? Megan Meiyok Skiendiel from the girl group Katseye revealed her sexuality during a Weverse livestream yesterday (June 6). The 19-year-old, who has a Singaporean Chinese mother and an American father, was applying hair extensions with fellow member Lara Rajagopalan. Megan wished her a happy Pride Month during the broadcast. Lara, who previously came out as queer, responded: "Thank you Megan, you too." This prompted Megan to whisper: "Should I just do it?" before revealing on the count of three: "Guys, I'm coming out. I'm bisexual." The two women can then be seen clapping and jumping in excitement. Honestly, probably before eight. "Isn't half fruitcake such a good way to explain it without saying it?" The 19-year-old was presented the Blooming Impact Award by the Los Angeles LGBT Center, and Megan, who presented it to Lara in May, joked during their livestream that she should receive it next year for coming out as well. "Guys, I came out on Pride Month... so give me that award, girl,' Megan said. Lara responded: "Next time she gets the Blooming Impact Award, I'm gonna present it to [her] and be like, 'Hey, I was the first, you were the second'." [embed] Lara then said she was proud of Megan and asked the audience to proclaim: "We love bisexuals!" "We love bisexuals," Megan said, adding: "And while I'm at it, let me also raise awareness about psoriasis. I have psoriasis." [[nid:699496]] drimac@

Megan, half-Singaporean member of Katseye, comes out as bisexual

Megan shared that she realised she was attracted to women as early as the age of eight. PHOTO: MEGANSKIENDIEL/INSTAGRAM Megan, half-Singaporean member of Katseye, comes out as bisexual Megan, a member of the global girl group Katseye, has publicly come out as bisexual. During a live broadcast on fan platform Weverse with fellow member Lara on June 6 , the 19-year-old shared her identity with fans, stating: 'I'm coming out. I'm bisexual.' The two celebrated the moment together, jumping in place with joy. Megan, who has a Singaporean-Chinese mother and American-Swedish father, debuted in the US with the six-member group in 2024. This marks the second coming out within the group. Back in March, Lara revealed her sexual orientation through a Weverse live broadcast. She shared that she realised she was attracted to women as early as the age of eight, and confessed that she was deeply afraid when auditioning. 'I didn't know if people would accept me. I was scared it might ruin my chances,' she wrote at the time. With both Lara and Megan now openly identifying as members of the LGBTQ+ community, Katseye stands out as a rare example of queer representation in the K-pop scene. The sextet is a multinational and multi-ethnic K-pop girl group formed by South Korean entertainment company Hybe in collaboration with American label Geffen Records. The group will return with its second EP Beautiful Chaos on May 27. THE KOREA HERALD/ASIA NEWS NETWORK Join ST's Telegram channel and get the latest breaking news delivered to you.

Seungmin of Stray Kids on his latest campaign with Burberry

We're currently in the throes of summer. Of tank tops, flip flops, colourful popsicles and music festivals all around—especially in Britain, now with the weather on their side. From Glastonbury and Leeds to BST Hyde Park and Isle of Wight, bands and artists have been congregating in a formidable lineup, all to perform live in front of throngs of festival goers. Celebrating the universal phenomenon is Burberry, with its latest campaign 'Burberry Festival'. 'Think of the campaign like a collage,' says chief creative officer, Daniel Lee. 'Candid moments capturing off-duty fans and headline acts in between gigs.' Shot against a set of sound systems by photographer Drew Vickers, the campaign features a cast from the intertwining worlds of music and fashion, including Liam Gallagher and his children, Alexa Chung, Cara Delevingne and South Korean star Seungmin. In this case, art imitates life for the Stray Kids member, who is all too familiar with playing at a music festival with his members. Below, he shares with Vogue Singapore his time shooting for the latest Burberry campaign and what he loves most about music festivals. How would you describe the vibe of the shoot? Everyone was so supportive and really seemed to enjoy and cheer on my energy, which brought me so much strength. I wanted to stay in London longer! Seungmin in 'Burberry Festival'. Courtesy of Burberry Describe your look for the campaign. The classic, vibrant, youthful, and clean Burberry vibe? I feel a bit shy saying it myself… What was the best moment of the day for you? When I took the mic and filmed a performance scene with an Oasis song playing, I really got into it, and I was super happy because everyone seemed to enjoy it! Seungmin behind the scenes of 'Burberry Festival'. Courtesy of Burberry What's the most memorable moment you've had while performing at a music festival? It would be the moment on stage at last year's festival. The memory of performing in front of countless fans with the sunset in the background still remains so clear to me. The sight of the audience's hands glowing in the sunset really tugged at my heart! Accompanied by the band's sound surrounding us, our music felt truly grand. Is there a song that you feel hits differently when performed at a festival? I love performing 'S-Class'. It may be because the song holds a sense of pride, but even when the song isn't in the language of the audience, they still sing along and relate with it, making it feel even more special! View this post on Instagram A post shared by BST Hyde Park (@bsthydepark) You've played some iconic festivals so far, including BST Hyde Park in London. What do you take away from those experiences? It's always so amazing and we are so grateful to see how much love people pour into our music and countless other things even from so far away. Even though we all speak different languages, it seems that our hearts have become similar as they are connected through music! How important are festivals in connecting fans from different parts of the world? Since it's not an opportunity that comes easily, I think the big stage of a music festival is a really important and rare chance for artists to connect with fans.
