The upper air cyclonic circulation lies over southwest Rajasthan at 3.1 km above mean sea level persists. Light rain and humid weather recorded in Delhi on sunday
New Delhi: Parts of the city experienced light to very light rain on Sunday morning, even as several areas recorded rain from late Saturday night until the early morning hours. India Meteorological Department (IMD) earlier forecast that the city was likely to see light to moderate rain on Monday. However, it later revised this to light to very light rain, and no colour-coded warning was issued. Officials visit flood-affected villages, relief op continues
1 2 Kanpur: Rescue and relief work continued in flood affected villages near Yamuna in Ghatampur tehsil. District magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh and additional district magistrate, on Sunday, finance and revenue, supervised the administrative team on location. Sub-divisional magistrate Abhichal Pratap Singh conducted an inspection of the affected villages with the flood PAC team at approximately 10am, assessing the arrangements. Officials reported that community kitchens distributed meals to affected families in Katri, Katar, Gadatha, Hardouli, and Mahuapurwa. The sub-divisional magistrate accompanied MLA Saroj Kuril during visits to Gadatha and Katri villages. The MLA distributed relief supplies in the village by a motorboat. He provided sweets and biscuits to children, and checked on residents' conditions. Several families were also provided items for protection from mosquitoes. Meanwhile, the Yamuna's water level showed a steady decline. The irrigation department provided regular updates to the public. In Gadatha village water level has dipped by two metres. IMD issues orange alert in 8 districts of Gujarat
Gandhinagar: India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Mahisagar, Aravalli, Gandhinagar, Mahesana, Khera, Sabar Kantha, Dahod, and Panchmahal districts of Gujarat. Moderate rain and thunder showers are expected to take place in these districts, which can cause waterlogging, leading to traffic congestion.
