President of Iran accorded official reception at Al Alam Palace
Muscat: An official reception ceremony was held at Al Alam Palace today in honour of President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the occasion of his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
Upon the arrival of the Iranian President's motorcade at the courtyard of Al Alam Palace, a cavalcade from the Royal Cavalry lined up to welcome the Sultanate of Oman's esteemed guest. When the vehicle boarded by President Pezeshkian arrived at Al Alam Palace, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave a warm welcome to the President, wishing him and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay in Oman and a successful visit.
Then, His Majesty the Sultan accompanied President Pezeshkian to the dais where the Iranian national anthem was played, while the artillery fired a 21-gun salute to the President.
After this protocol, His Majesty the Sultan shook hands with the official delegation accompanying President Pezeshkian. The President was greeted by Omani Royal dignitaries, ministers and military commanders.

HM the Sultan greets citizens, residents on Eid Al Adha
Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has addressed a message of greetings to Omani citizens, residents in the Sultanate of Oman and to the Islamic nation on the occasion of Eid Al Adha. A statement to this effect was issued by the Diwan of Royal Court. It reads as follows: 'Amid the grace of these blessed days during which pilgrims perform the rituals of Hajj pilgrimage for the Year 1446 AH—and, as Muslims in the east and the west of the globe anticipate the sunrise of the 10thof Dhul-Hijja, glorifying the Almighty Allah throughout these propitious days—His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik addressed a message of greetings to Omani citizens, residents on the land of Oman and the whole Islamic nation on the occasion of Eid Al Adha. His Majesty the Sultan prayed to the Almighty Allah to endow all with many happy comebacks of this auspicious occasion, and similar events, and bring back the Eid at a time all relish the bounties of health and long life. His Majesty wished that these blessed days would be a time of prosperity, peace and amity. May Allah the Almighty grant His Majesty the Sultan a long life and make him witness many happy returns of these divine days, and May He bestow His blessings and bounties on the Sultanate of Oman and its noble people! His Majesty grants royal pardon to over 600 prisoners
Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, has issued a special pardon for 645 prisoners of various nationalities. His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander—may God protect and preserve him—has graciously issued a special royal pardon for a group of prison inmates convicted in various cases. A responsible source from the Royal Oman Police stated that the number of individuals honored with the royal pardon has reached 645 inmates, including both citizens and expats. The decision from the Supreme Commander's comes in conjunction with the occasion of Eid Al Adha 1446 AH, taking into account the circumstances of their families.
