At the event, they presented a new title sponsor: the GGBET UA will be a partner of FC Dynamo Kyiv for three years. Plans include continuing to bring the fans and the team closer together, opening up new sides of Dynamo to supporters through joint projects, custom content, and special offers.
During the announcement, GGBET UA CEO Sergii Mishchenko revealed the symbolism of the name: "Dynamo 3.0 isn't just about the thirty titles, although of course this is a momentous and historic event. It's also about a new era for Dynamo and GGBET UA. It's a totally new level of collaboration, with a status that no betting company has ever been awarded by the Kyiv club, and involving lots of time and possibilities for carrying out special projects. For us, this is an opportunity to work even more closely with football fans, to increase brand awareness, and to achieve both our own business objectives and those we can work towards with the club. So, I'm confident that during three years of collaboration, we'll be able to impress both our users and Dynamo fans".
"Keeping the bar high and working with the best - that's the dream of every club. This is a very inspiring period for Dynamo. We have thirty incredible successes under our belt. We're entering the new season as reigning champions. We're being supported by a partner who can significantly boost our media presence and help us to organize a range of activities that will surprise even the most demanding football fans. We'll do everything we can to make sure that this season, the quality of our football and the ideas we embody with GGBET UA shine as brightly as the stars on our new emblem," commented FC Dynamo's CEO Dmytro Brif.
Previously, GGBET UA had been the official sponsor of FC Dynamo Kyiv for European cup matches, as well as the sponsor of its winter training camp in Turkey.

B.C. Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke back at the top of his game

SURREY — James Butler isn't surprised when he watches Nathan Rourke successfully lob a 49-yard pass up the field. Article content It's what the running back has come to expect from the B.C. Lions star quarterback. Article content Article content 'To me, that's just Nate being Nate. It's on brand for Nate,' Butler said at the team's training facility in Surrey on Tuesday. 'I've been saying this since I met him — whenever No. 12 is back there, he just gives you a chance.' Article content After struggling in his return to the CFL last season, Rourke is back at the top of his game. Article content The 27-year-old Canadian earned player of the week honours for leading the Lions to a decisive 36-18 victory over the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday. Article content Rourke has shown 'steady growth' this season and the player of the week nod shows the team's entire offence has been clicking, said Lions head coach Buck Pierce. Article content 'I think the guys around him are performing at a high level as well,' he said. 'And when quarterbacks receive that type of honour, it means a lot of guys around him are performing well, too.' Article content Rourke connected on 26 of his 34 pass attempts Saturday, throwing for 382 yards with four touchdowns and an interception. Article content The performance marked his sixth 300-plus yard game of the season and the fourth time he's thrown multiple TD passes in his last five starts. Article content 'Great leader, great quarterback, great man. Aspire to be like him in a few ways,' said Lions receiver Keon Hatcher, who leads the league in receiving yards (878), receptions (54) and targets (85). Article content Article content 'Nate's done great. Excited to see how he can finish this season. He's a great leader. He does a great job in and out of the huddle and I just can't wait to see what the future holds.' Article content Since returning from an oblique injury on July 5, Rourke has averaged 352 passing yards per game. Article content He currently sits third in the CFL for most passing yards (2,686) this season behind Bo Levi Mitchell of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (3,057) and Nick Arbuckle of the Toronto Argonauts (3,033), and is third in TD passes (16). Article content The success follows a difficult end to the 2024 campaign. Article content Rourke wasn't in the CFL to start the season, working instead to find a permanent home in the NFL. Last August, he re-signed with B.C. — the team where he had a breakout campaign in 2022 and earned most-outstanding Canadian honours — taking over for the injured Vernon Adams Jr. Article content The homegrown talent went 3-5, throwing four touchdowns and nine interceptions and B.C. finished the regular season with a 9-9 record. The Lions were ousted from the West semifinal by the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Riders' staunch defence holding firm as they set their sights on the Stampeders

Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive back Rolan Milligan (0) celebrates with defensive back CJ Reavis (1) and defensive lineman Benoit Marion (93) after an interception against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats during the second half of CFL football action in Regina, on Saturday, August 16, 2025. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Heywood Yu The Saskatchewan Roughriders defence has joined rarified air. The defensive unit has not allowed an opposing touchdown in two consecutive games. According to the Riders' Senior Journalist and Historian Rob Vanstone, that makes them only the seventh defence in team history to accomplish the feat. 'Yeah, we'd love to always keep offenses out of the endzone,' said Roughriders Head Coach Corey Mace. 'In this league, I haven't seen a whole ton of that, but certainly something that I know the guys will continue to push for.' Linebacker AJ Allen told CTV News the key to this run of lockdown defence starts up front with the defensive line group. 'We have defensive linemen like Caleb Sanders out here hooping and making plays. It makes playing football easy when you have guys like that, like Micah Johnson. It starts with them in the trenches, and it makes playing easy. And after that it's just communication, attention to detail and being able to play together.' The unit has certainly been a cohesive one over their last two contests. In the two games, they have combined to force seven turnovers and registered seven sacks, including six on Bo Levi Mitchell last weekend. Despite the accolades, the defence is moving forward with their sights set on the Calgary Stampeders, the only team to hand the Riders a loss this season. In that Week 6 game, the Riders gave up nearly 550 yards of offence, and over 5.5 yards per carry to Dedrick Mills and company. 'You look at the stats, they ran the ball over us,' said Riders' defensive lineman Caleb Sanders. 'I think it's the only team that's had the majority of success running the ball. So, we have to stop that, first of all. And if we do, we make a team one-dimensional, we know what plays are coming, we can stop them.' Allen said the team is heading into this rematch with a chip on their shoulder, knowing they had plenty of missed assignments in round one. 'I think it starts with correcting what we messed up on, and part of it was physicality. We weren't physical and we got our butts kicked last time. They were the more physical team, which can't happen if you want to win football games,' he said. Saturday's showdown in Calgary could have big playoff seeding implications. A win for the Riders would see them six points ahead of Calgary, while a Stampeders win would see Saskatchewan's lead atop the West Division shrink to just two points.

Calgary Stampeders in CFL's Week 12: Spread the word, Red and White back in vogue

Article content 'That was a long time ago — I don't worry about it,' said Dickenson, on sticking to the don't-get-too-high mentality when you're winning. 'I know Saskatchewan's playing good football. They've got a lot of talent and weapons but also continuity. Article content 'I know defensively, pretty much the same lineup's been in most of the games. Offensively, they've lost some of the receiving corps, but they seem to have guys. I know (former Stamps receiver) Shawn Bain is getting healthy.' Article content And defensively, only the Riders have proved more staunch in allowing points than the Stampeders — but not by much. They've surrendered just 183 to the Stamps' 192 for a one-point per-game-average better rate. Article content 'You know … their defence is really good,' added Adams. 'So the d-line up front — (Jameer) Thurman and those guys — and the defensive backs are veterans, so I got to be smart with my decisions.' Article content Article content Adams ranks fifth in passing yards on the CFL campaign with 2,213 on the season. Article content His decisions have been strong, and he's right there in the conversation for the CFL's Most Outstanding Player. Article content But so, too, is Riders QB Trevor Harris, who is on 2,490 yards for a shade more than Adams — including rushing totals — but with 16 TDs compared to the 12 combined for the Stamps QB. Article content 'Trevor was the first quarterback to really sit me down and tell me, 'This is how you're supposed to be a quarterback. This is how you're supposed to prepare' and things like that,' Adams said. 'So I give a lot of respect and props to Trevor, because he never held anything back from me, and I give a lot of my success to him.' Article content Both played together a few years back on the Montreal Alouettes. Article content 'He helped me especially when I was the starter,' continued Adams. 'They traded for him (in 2021) to come in to essentially take over for me, and I got traded out of there (in 2022), because he was playing good football. You know … I'm saying I wasn't ready yet. I wasn't doing all the things I needed to do. And, like I said, he really helped me with that. Article content 'So … 'Appreciate you, bro, and I can't wait to go against you this week.'' Article content In the Riders' win over the East Division-leading Tiger-Cats (6-4), Harris went 21-of-27 for 307 passing yards, with three TD tosses and an interception. His main target was receiver KeeSean Johnson, who hauled in eight passes for 117 yards. And the Riders continued to shine in the running game, with backfield workhorse A.J. Ouellette popping off for 84 yards on 18 hauls. Article content 'We got the best team in the league coming in this week,' added Adams. So we've got to prepare hard this week. Keep practising hard and show up on game day in front of a great crowd.' Article content Stampeders WR Damien Alford (hamstring) was back as a full practice participant in Tuesday's first session back from the break. 'It's good, man,' said Adams, of the return of the rookie receiver, who torched the Roughriders for 156 yards and two TDs on six catches during the Week 6 win in Regina. 'The 'Moose is the 'Moose'. So if my read takes me to him, the ball is going to him.' Unfortunately, WR Dominique Rhymes (quad) and WR Tevin Jones (illness) were no-shows for Tuesday's practice … Defensively, LB Adam Bighill (knee) was a full-go for practice and waiting to see on his availability versus the Riders. And while DB Tyler Richardson (groin), the Stamps' starting cornerback on the boundary side for the first handful of games, still hasn't returned, DB Ben Labrosse was back practising … The Stamps have added American DB Brady Breeze to their practice roster. Breeze was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round — 215th overall — of the 2021 NFL Draft. The 27-year-old secondary star played a total of 11 games for the Titans and the Detroit Lions over the 2021 and '22 seasons and made six tackles. The 6-foot, 200-lb. defensive back was a standout with the NCAA's Oregon Ducks and the defensive MVP of the 2020 Rose Bowl. Article content
