Rock star's stunning $4million Gold Coast treehouse escape hits the market
A stunning Gold Coast hideaway favoured by UK rocker Sting has hit the market.
The treehouse escape is located in Currumbin in the Gold Coast hinterland and proved a popular retreat for Sting, 73, who had previously described the property as 'peaceful, beautiful and inspiring'.
The Gold Coast Bulletin reported that the tranquil property, dubbed 'Katta on Currumbin', was last sold in 2022 for $4.025million.
It is on the market once again, with agents taking expressions of interest.
Designed by architect Shane Denman, the house was completed in 2004.

Set on a 567 square metre block, the property comprises two self-contained homes, complete with a total of seven bedrooms and four bathrooms.
It's also a vista lover's paradise, with the unique home offering uninterrupted coastal views from Currumbin Estuary to Palm Beach in Surfers Paradise.
Surrounded by pristine crown land reserve, the property held the title of the area's most popular holiday rental for 15 years through accommodation portal Stayz.
Both properties boast high ceilings and glass walls to take full advantage of the idyllic surroundings.
The penthouse level features an open-plan living and dining space that opens onto an entertainer's balcony.
The kitchen has a butler's pantry, two fridges and on-demand sparkling water.
The luxe spaciousness extends to the subsequent three floors too, with each boasting its own outdoor areas for taking in the serenity.
'This is one of the most tightly held locations on the Gold Coast,' listing agent Lisa Papadopoulos told the publication.
'From the moment you arrive, you'll feel it. The air is different here – clean, crisp, alive with the scent of the ocean and rainforest.'
Sting and his wife Trudie have been together since 1982, and the couple share the same penchant for healthy living.
Their tantric sex life has been a hot topic for decades, after famously claiming to bed each other for hours on end back in the nineties.
In a recent interview with The Times, the music legend, 73, and his director wife, 71, who tied the knot in 1992, joked about what goes on behind closed doors, decades after the famous claim.
Sting, real name Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, shrugged: 'It could be worse. And the seven hours includes dinner, a movie and five hours of begging.'
The star has been plagued by questions about his energetic love life since he once gave the interview in which he boasted about the tantric sex sessions.
He previously clarified his infamous admissions during an interview for Bravo series Inside The Actor's Studio in 2014.
'The idea of tantric sex is a spiritual act,' he explained. 'I don't know any purer and better way of expressing a love for another individual than sharing that wonderful, I call it, 'sacrament.' I would stand by it. Not seven hours, but the idea.'
He then quipped, 'Seven hours includes movie and dinner,' generating laughs from the audience.

A night with Elbow at Cardiff Castle, goosebumps and all
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info I'm a bit guilty of not really making the most of the live music we have in the capital often enough. This summer, as is becoming the norm, there's something for everyone in terms of gigs in Wales' capital. Sting, Will Smith, Stevie Wonder, Stereophonics? Oh, and a group of fellas from Manchester, you might have heard them mentioned. But the one I knew I wanted to see was Elbow partly because they're the exact sort of band the venue calls out for. As part of this summer's TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle they were joined by The Coral and Billie Marten. From superstar gigs to cosy pubs, find out What's On in Wales by signing up to our newsletter here Elbow were preceeded by Snow Patrol the night before, and you can read that review here. This night, there was a weather warning for thunderstorms and there was a mass arrival of ponchos and waterproofs required partway through the set. I'd listen to Guy Garvey in most places. His haunting, effortless voice is, many years of music in, nothing short of lovely. The castle really is a special venue and suited them down to the crowd. The last time I went to one of the Depot Live gigs at the castle I saw a Faithless DJ set and it lends itself to a jump around just as much as a sway to Elbow. In a set just shy of two hours, Elbow performed 20 songs, mixing old and new. Starting with 2008's Starlings, he quipped some of the material to come would be older than some audience members. Next came Lovers Leap. Other tracks included Lippy Kids, Magnificent, Kindling, Mirrorball and Seldom Seen Kid. But they could only close with One Day Like This, a song so beautiful, even the rain stopped in time for us to enjoy it in all its glory. Garvey apologised for his voice being not 100% but it wasn't noticeable from where we were. It was never going to be a raucous gig, but even the most mellow of tunes were brought to life by the band, with a seemingly endless supply of instruments and vocals to boot. Garvey knew how to get the crowd growing, a vocal warm up for the final, goosebump-inducing number was a lovely touch. An effortlessly talented band who seem to still love what they do, one day like this a year really would see me right. The other TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle gigs are: June 13 Elbow with The Coral and Billie Marten June 20 Jamie Jones and Chris Stussy June 25 Maribou State with Jitwam and Anish Kumar June 26 The Script and Tom Walker June 28 Sting and The Lilacs and Sophie Grey July 8 The Human League with Thompson Twins' Tom Bailey and Blancmange July 10 James and Shed Seven and Jamie Webster July 13 Rag 'n' Bone Man and Elles Bailey July 19 Rock the Castle - Funeral for Friend, The Blackout, Punk Rock Factory and more July 20 UB40 Ft Ali Campbell with Bitty McClean and Reggae Roast Ft Mr Williamsz July 26 Depot in the Castle Jess Glynne Maximo Park, Sigma, Kate Nash, Professor Green, GLC and Blue Dolphin Wranglers. Rebecca Gibney reveals the darkest period of her life as a recovering 'people pleaser' with a 'not normal' brain - ahead of her Dancing With The Stars debut
She's a Logie-winning actress and a TV favourite but behind the glowing smile, Rebecca Gibney has been quietly battling demons she now says nearly broke her. The Halifax f.p. star, 60, has opened up about the darkest chapter of her life -revealing she has long struggled with debilitating panic attacks, chronic people-pleasing tendencies and what she describes as a 'not normal' brain. 'I've got too many drop-down tabs going in my head. I can hyper focus on one thing and then I get panicked because I've let the other thing slide,' she told The Daily Telegraph. 'I suffered from panic attacks from the age of 14 until well into my 30s. If I could change one thing I wish my brain was a bit more normal.' Gibney, who is set to make her debut on Dancing With The Stars on Sunday, said the mental toll of the show was far greater than she expected and triggered deep-seated fears of not being 'good enough' that have plagued her since childhood. 'It was absolute sheer terror,' she confessed. 'I had moments where I resorted back to a 12-year-old being judged... it was really bizarre. You feel like you've let yourself down. You've let everyone else down.' Despite a successful career spanning four decades, Gibney says it's only now - after years of inner work - that she is learning to let go of perfectionism and prioritise her own wellbeing. 'I've probably always been a bit of a people pleaser – I think I inherited that from Mum. I can't enjoy myself unless everyone is too,' she said. 'As I get older, I'm getting better at setting boundaries… as my husband Richard says, "I'm not using up my happy pills on people that don't deserve it anymore".' Gibney has already been already proving that she'll be the fan favourite to beat on the upcoming season of the Channel Seven dance contest, which premieres on Sunday at 7.00pm. In March, she sent pulses racing by sharing a behind-the-scenes sneak peak at her dance training for the reality TV competition. 'Who would have thought I would ever get close to doing the splits again at my age,' the New Zealand-born actress humbly captioned the candid photo. In the image, she appears to be practising a tango with her dance partner Ian Waite, who holds her leg outstretched well above his hip. Gibney, who is set to make her debut on Dancing With The Stars on Sunday, said the mental toll of the show was far greater than she expected and triggered deep-seated fears of not being 'good enough' that have plagued her since childhood Gibney sold the sultry emotion of the dance as she tucked her head into Ian's embrace - with only the dancer's arms around her lithe frame keeping the Logie Hall of Fame member aloft. She recently freely admitted filming DTWS is 'the most challenging thing' she's ever done. 'Will I come out of it a pro dancer? No. Has there been tears? Yes. Lots' she said on social media. 'But it's also the most rewarding, amazing thing I've ever done,' Rebecca added. 'To be learning a new skill and being taught by one of the best in the world who is also such a beautiful human is an experience I will never ever forget. Thank you Ian and DTWS. 'More shows this week. Let's gooo.' The cast of Dancing With The Stars Australia for 2025 is shaping up as one of the most impressive seasons yet, and she joins an all-star cast alongside Osher Günsberg and Shaun Micallef.

Lenny Henry fights back tears reflecting on mother's death during tour
Sir Lenny Henry reflected on the pain of his mother dying while he was in Australia for a tour as he spoke to Alison Hammond for the latest episode of her Big Weekend series on the BBC on Friday, 13 June. The comedian, 66, shared that in 1998, his mother Winifred had been unwell, prompting him to ask a doctor whether he should go on tour or not. Two days after he arrived in Australia, he received a phone call saying his mother had died, Sir Lenny explained. "It was awful. I felt awful. I should have just stayed," Sir Lenny said, adding that he had grief counselling afterwards.
