Beach front restaurant in North Wales named on UK top 100 list
They have just released their 2025 version - with one place in North Wales making the cut. The current list is generated from over 800,000 reviews from verified OpenTable diners and dining metrics from 1st April 2024 - 31st March 2025.
Restaurants with a minimum threshold of diner reviews were considered and evaluated by a compilation of unique data points, including diner ratings, the percentage of five star reviews, the number of alerts set, the percentage of reservations made in advance, percentage of capacity and direct searches.
Metrics were weighted to comprise an overall score. The qualified restaurants were then filtered by having outdoor dining.
The North Wales restaurant making the cut is Bryn Williams at Porth Eirias. Run by the popular TV chef it is situated right next to Colwyn Bay 's stunning Med-like sandy beach.
It has an outdoor terrace for dining although with its floor to ceiling windows there is a feeling is being on the sea even inside the eating place.
On Opentable Bryn's has a 4.7 (out of 5) rating with nearly 4,000 reviews.
One recent review said: "Beautiful location- what a view. Endless sandy beaches and blue sky." Another added: "A wonderful meal in a beautiful setting."
Opentable said: "This big open space with its easy, informal mood has an open kitchen where Bryn's team of chefs turn simple, local, seasonal ingredients into extraordinary bistro-style food.
"Menus are served all day by interesting people who really understand food, and there are no rules, so you can do what you like: tuck into breakfast, graze over small plates at the bar, share a Sunday feast with family, watch the sun go down with friends. Good times with good people, and no distance between you and the beach."

All the times South Park has taken down Donald Trump
From its first episode in 1997, South Park has consistently pushed the boundaries of what is acceptable on television. By tackling sensitive subject matters, from religion, sexuality and race to politics, the show's creators, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, challenge societal norms with the most shocking scenarios imaginable. Previous episodes have ignited such significant backlash that it has even led to threats of violence, particularly with the depiction of the Prophet Muhammad. But the show was yet to air a storyline so controversial that it prompted a response from the White House. That is until now. Following the season 27 premiere, the show has been scathingly criticalal Donald Trump administration – prompting a rather odd response from Homeland Security. So, looking back through South Park's history, here is a breakdown of all the times the series has mocked Donald Trump. The first time Trump ever featured in an episode of South Park was in season five, 20 years ago. The president appeared as himself, a wealthy eccentric businessman, who is among other rich investors watching Mr. Garrison's transportation invention. In this episode, he was not the focus, and there was little, if any, political commentary at all. Trump mainly features as part of the 'rich elite' joke, and his reference is a cultural one rather than a critique, given his celebrity status at the time. Titled 'Where My Country Gone?' the next time Trump featured came in season 19 in 2015. While Trump is not named directly, a Canadian version of him becomes the President of Canada. Featuring his distinctive hair and skin tone, the Trump-like Canadian president is blamed for the downfall of Canada, which triggers Garrison's anti-immigration stance. The satire level is certainly raised up a notch as his character is ridiculed for his policies and behaviour. In future episodes, Mr Garrison – dressed as Trump – also appeared in various episodes until 2016 as Stone and Parker parodied real-world politics. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Last, but certainly not least, season 27's premiere 'Sermon on the Mount' mercilessly mocks Trump, portraying him as a litigious sex pest who is in a relationship with Satan. The new episode scored 5,900,000 viewers across Paramount Plus and Comedy Central in the US (via Variety) in the first three days it was available to watch. It also made several jokes about Trump's penis, and it was since revealed that the creators had to fight to stop it from being blurred. This came despite Stone and Parker vowing that they would avoid talking about Trump, when doing an interview for Vanity Fair during the time of the 2024 US election. Stone said that 'it's such a mind scramble' to write the show during the election and that they 'didn't know what more we could possibly say about Trump' More Trending The duo also said they were 'waiting for Paramount to figure out their s***'. Following this latest episode, however, Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Metro in a statement: 'We want to thank South Park for drawing attention to ICE law enforcement recruitment.' She then urged 'patriotic' watchers of the show to join ICE and help deport people from the country, listing a number of benefits. View More » South Park is available to watch on Comedy Central. 'Ibiza Final Boss' Jack Kay dumped by girlfriend over viral haircut
The Geordie went viral after his iconic bowl haircut barbershop style was shared online. While Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay may be revelling in his newfound fame, jetting around on private planes with his mates, it seems there's a storm brewing in paradise for the viral sensation and his stunning girlfriend. The 26 year old lad, initially just another Brit in a black vest and gold chain looking for a good time on the White Isle, saw his life transform overnight into an internet phenomenon, with memes of his distinctive haircut taking over social media. Having swapped EasyJet for a private jet back to the party island after a fresh trim and announcing his own tour, it hasn't all been smooth sailing. This follows 'Ibiza Bob' reuniting with his barber after his iconic bowl cut went viral. Now, it has emerged that the lad who shot to viral fame thanks to his Lego-like haircut is fighting to salvage his relationship with his model girlfriend, following reports she ended things while he was partying away in Ibiza. The reported blow to his relationship came just days into his trip abroad - and before his viral breakout, reports the Mirror. Alisa Cook, a debt collector from Co Durham, was reportedly so incensed by her boyfriend's partying antics in Ibiza that she called it quits before videos of his unique hairstyle catapulted him to viral fame. The couple have reportedly mended fences since then, but a friend of Jack's has cautioned that he's 'skating on thin ice' due to his party-loving lifestyle. They confided to the Daily Mail: "Alisha called it off when Jack went to Ibiza with the lads. They'd been together for almost a year and he was living at her place but things hadn't been right for months. "His car is still on her drive, she threw all his clothes in the back of it. She doesn't want him around anymore. She's had inklings that something was not right for a while. She just wants to wash her hands of him. Alisha is so beautiful. No one is quite sure what she saw in him." However, it appears Alisha may have had a change of heart as she has since publicly identified herself as Jack's girlfriend following his rise to internet fame. In a string of TikTok videos titled: "POV: ya boyfriend's now known as Ibiza Final Boss," Alisha can be seen getting cosy with Jack, featuring clips of him pecking her on the cheek and them both enjoying a night out. The video has been set to private, yet it didn't stop fans from sharing their thoughts in the comments section, with one quipping: "At least you know he didn't cheat - he's been filmed from every angle on TikTok just having a ball." Another commented: "Have a word with his barber - I don't know how he leaves the house." A third chimed in with a jest: "So was the haircut a choice, or did the barber do him dirty?". This comes after the barber responsible for the infamous Ibiza Final Boss haircut finally spilled the beans on what Jack requests to get his signature style. Ali Kurbani, the skilled barber behind the signature look at BandD Barbers in Blaydon, Newcastle, has caught the eye of top-tier stars and even sparked nationwide advertising campaigns. Thursday saw Ali welcome Jack back to his salon chair ahead of another Ibiza tour. Ali confessed his astonishment at seeing his craftsmanship dominate the news cycle. "I've been doing this job for a while, and this is incredible," he said. "We've been cutting Jack's hair for about 10 years and never expected this level of attention." Hailing from Kurdistan originally, Ali revealed that Jack has maintained the identical hairstyle for quite some time. Following endless online debate about the look - with suggestions ranging from Robin Hood to a bowl cut or even a "short back and Battle of Hastings" - Ali has finally cleared up the mystery. "To get this look, Jack asks for a medium skin fade with some length left on top," Ali told The Sun. However, the key to achieving the haircut's distinctive, Lego-esque appearance comes down to maintaining a sharp, precisely-defined fringe at the front. The "Ibiza Boss" trim at BandD Barbers will set you back £26, although Jack - whom Ali describes as a "very nice guy," - occasionally adds a generous tip.
