Lenovo Legion Go 2 revealed in leaked prototype video featuring an OLED display
The Legion Go 2 is one of our most anticipated gaming handheld releases this year, and leaks about the new console have been sprouting up since at least April of 2024.
Originally, we spotted the latest leaked images of a purported Lenovo Legion Go 2 in the Legion Go subreddit which showed the screen, kickstand, and even a look at the inside of the console.
A Redditor commented that the images were from their video on YouTube, which does appear to match the photos from Reddit.
The video claims the device is a prototype, and may even be out of date. It's a bit of a sketchy leak as this is only the second video ever posted to that channel and the Reddit account, while two years old, has only ever commented on this post.
They allege that they were able to get one of the devices "due to bankruptcy of the contract manufacturer" which apparently lead to a number of prototypes ending up in e-waste recycling.
I don't speak Chinese, so some of what we're going off here is comments made under the video and what the claimed owner of the video said on Reddit.

According to them, the machine in question features an 8.8-inch OLED display reportedly made by Samsung Display. This would be an improvement over its predecessor which features an IPS LCD screen.
The prototype also features a Z2 processor and a 780M graphics card, which is most likely out of date as the Go 2 is expected to feature a more powerful AMD 890M card.
In the video, they do show off the device in action playing a game and some of the system settings. It looks like it has 1TB of SSD storage and 32GB of RAM, double that of the original Legion Go.
It appears like the battery will be better as well. The current Go console has a 49.2Whr battery which barely lasted two hours in our testing. The new battery is clocked at 74Whr, so maybe we'll get up to three hours with the Go 2, but hopefully Lenovo has worked on some power efficiency and optimization as well.
All in all, it does look like an improvement internally. We are curious if Lenovo is working with Microsoft to make an Xbox-version ala the Asus ROG Xbox Ally or with Valve on a SteamOS version like the Legion Go S, which we considered excellent.
Allegedly, the Legion Go 2 will launch in September and the leaker said it would cost $1,000.
Lenovo has been fairly tight-lipped about the Go 2, so we don't have much more to go on, but we do expect the handheld to release later this year.

Ford's CEO just threw down the gauntlet at BYD and Tesla with its own $30K EV truck
Ford CEO Jim Farley thinks his company has cracked how to beat China's affordable EVs. Farley announced on Monday that Ford is making an additional $2 billion investment in EVs by overhauling its Louisville assembly line, bringing the automaker's total commitments to $5 billion. Ford plans to use the retooled Kentucky line to produce a midsize EV truck with a starting price of $30,000 that will roll out in 2027. Ford needed to make such a move, Farley said, to hold back BYD and other competitors. "We saw this coming for years. We knew that the Chinese would be the major player for us globally, companies like BYD, new startups from around the world," Farley said. "Big technology has their ambition in the auto space. They're all coming for us, legacy automotive companies." Addressing Tesla, Farley said that the automaker has learned that most current EVs don't address what buyers actually want. "People love their EVs if they have a duty cycle that fits," Farley told CNBC in an interview following the announcement. "A computer can have a lot lower costs — that's why we redid this platform, the Ford Universal Electrical Platform, to bring the costs way down. And for us to break even and make money, that's the exact same thing." Ford has struggled in the EV market so far. It lost $2.2 billion in the first half of 2025 and $12 billion over the last two and a half years, per The New York Times. Farley called the investment the company's "most radical change" since the Model T, which revolutionized the industry and made Ford the foundation of Detroit's Big 3. He said a reimagined assembly tree branched assembly line, which will start with the midsize truck, will help the legacy automaker out-innovate its competitors. Doug Field, Ford's EV chief, said the truck's other big innovation will be a smaller battery. Ford's design team says the smaller battery size will allow for more comfort but will also reduce the overall cost of the vehicle. "Compared to a generation one electrical vehicle, we can get the same range with a third less battery," Doug Field, Ford's EV chief, said. "Are we going to compete for labor to make batteries? No, but if we use our brains to have a third smaller battery, we can compete." Ford said the truck will have new features like a drunk, but still have a traditional truck bed in the back. Farley also boasted that the truck will have the capacity to power a house for six days. " You don't need a generator," he said. "You just buy this truck."

Ford to build EV pickup with a starting price of $30K in bid to catch China rivals
Ford plans to start rolling out its new family of affordable electric vehicles in 2027, including a midsize pickup truck with a target starting price of $30,000, the company said on Monday, as it aspires to the cost efficiency of Chinese rivals. The new midsize four-door pickup will be assembled at the automaker's Louisville, Ky., plant. Ford is investing nearly $2 billion in the plant, which produces the Escape and Lincoln Corsair, retaining at least 2,200 jobs, it said in a statement. Chinese carmakers such as BYD have streamlined their supply chain and production system to produce EVs at a fraction of the cost of Western automakers. While these vehicles have yet to enter the US market, Ford CEO Jim Farley said they set a new standard that companies like Ford must match.
