Amman Stock Exchange Gives Listed Companies Until April 6 to Provide Their Annual Data - Jordan News
The CEO of the Amman Stock Exchange, Mazen Al-Wazayfeh, stated that the exchange is calling on listed companies to complete providing their audited annual financial data for the period ending on December 31, 2024, by their auditors via the XBRL electronic disclosure system before Sunday, April 6. اضافة اعلان This comes in line with the Securities Commission's decision to extend the legal deadline for submitting the annual reports for 2024 until April 6, due to the coincidence of the final deadline with the Eid al-Fitr holiday. Al-Wazayfeh confirmed that, in accordance with the Securities Commission's decision and based on the provisions of Article (15/B/6) of the Securities Listing Instructions of 2018, the Amman Stock Exchange will suspend trading in the shares of non-compliant companies that fail to submit their audited annual financial data from their auditors starting from the first business day following April 6, until these companies provide the required data to the exchange. This measure aims to enhance the protection of market participants and investors, providing them with timely information to enable informed investment decisions. After the deadline for submitting the audited annual data, the exchange will announce the names of the non-compliant companies through various media channels. Companies that fail to comply with the set deadline will be subject to penalties as stipulated in the applicable regulations and instructions. Providing the exchange with audited annual financial data is in compliance with the Securities Listing Instructions at the Amman Stock Exchange, which requires all listed companies to prepare audited annual data by their auditors. This ensures transparency and disclosure, allowing investors and shareholders to access necessary information and company performance results continuously and on time.
It is noteworthy that the exchange publishes this data on its website under the circulars and disclosures (Annual Data) section, making it easily accessible to interested parties.

Minister of Labor Inaugurates Phase One of the Northeastern Badia Vocational Training Institute - Jordan News

He affirmed the government's belief that human capital is Jordan's most valuable resource, highlighting that youth in the Badia region, like their counterparts in major cities, possess potential and ambition worthy of investment to generate local employment opportunities. Al-Bakkar also emphasized that the top priority of the Ministry of Labor and affiliated institutions is to employ Jordanians across all regions and promote decentralized development, tailored to the competitive advantages of each governorate. He noted that preparatory work is underway for agricultural training programs in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, set to begin next month. He added that registration is now open for youth in the region to enroll in the current training programs, with more than 150 applicants already registered. Minister of Energy: Al-Samra Power Generation Company Contributes About 30% of Jordan's Electricity Needs
On Thursday, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, sponsored the Independence Day celebration organized by Al-Samra Power Generation Company in the Hashmiya area of Zarqa Governorate. The event was attended by the Director General of the National Electric Power Company, the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission, and several officials and dignitaries from Zarqa city. اضافة اعلان Al-Kharabsheh stated that Al-Samra Power Generation Company contributes about 30% of the Kingdom's electricity needs, making it one of the largest and most important energy companies in Jordan. He reviewed the achievements in the energy sector, noting that Al-Samra station began commercial production in 2005 with the first gas turbine having a capacity of 100 megawatts. The station's current nominal capacity has reached 1,241 megawatts, with a total capacity expected to reach 1,834 megawatts by 2025. He explained that the station is managed with high efficiency by national staff, with a large portion coming from Zarqa Governorate, which enhances the company's role in supporting local communities and creating job opportunities. Al-Zwaitin added that the company operates with Jordanian hands, pointing out that it contributes to generating more than 30% of the country's electricity production, and that Jordan has witnessed significant development in the energy sector, especially electricity.
