Ozzy Osbourne's final months caught on camera as TWO documentaries race to air after his death

A BIZARRE race has seen TWO documentaries hurriedly made charting the final months of Ozzy Osbourne's life.
Filmmakers for the BBC and streamer Paramount+ have made shows about the legendary Black Sabbath rocker, who died last month aged 76 after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease.

Both were given access to Ozzy and his family over a three-year period, and they could end up dropping within weeks of one another this autumn.
A TV insider said: "At this stage it's looking like the BBC might just pip Paramount+ to the post.
"But both organisations are keen to be the first to get them out there because they understand just how hugely popular Ozzy was and how well received these shows will be.
"Of course, there's an element of competition there, but their main priorities are producing two shows that are respectful and that the Osbourne family approve of."
Earlier this year, Paramount+ announced they would soon be delivering Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now, which they said would be: "a deeply personal portrait of the rock legend's harsh new realities and his battle to take the stage for one final performance."
The show in question was the Back to the Beginning concert in Birmingham in July 5 - just 17 days before his death.
But the BBC are putting the finishing touches to a very similar documentary, which was originally going to be called Home to Roost and charted the Osbourne's return to live in the UK after years in LA.
After his Parkinson's diagnosis, and a radical change to their lives the documentary team were allowed to keep filming, but the BBC have yet to confirm an air date or if the doc's title has changed.
Meanwhile, a third biopic is being made about Ozzy by Sony, though that isn't expected to air until next year.
The BBC were approached for comment.
