‘Tattletale' Kemi Badenoch got a fellow pupil expelled after catching him cheating in exam
During an interview with Amol Rajan in his Interviews... series released on Thursday (7 August), the Conservative leader said that when she was '14 or 15' she stood up in the middle of a test and called out a boy who was breaking the rules.
'I've always hated cheating. I've done all the work and then there's some people who are copying notes and why should they get away with it?,' she said.
She shared that she received no praise for 'snitching' on her fellow pupil, with one student telling her: 'You don't belong here.'
Rajan quipped 'no wonder you were so unpopular back in school'.

Three children charged with murder after death of man on Isle of Sheppey
Three children have been charged with murder after the death of a man in a Kent seaside resort. A girl, 16, and two boys, aged 14 and 15, have been remanded in custody to appear at Medway magistrates court on Wednesday, Kent police said. Police were called to the Warden Bay Road area of Leysdown-on-Sea on the Isle of Sheppey shortly after 7pm on Sunday after a disturbance involving a small number of people. Alexander Cashford, 49, was confirmed dead at the scene, which was attended by officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service. Police said he had suffered a number of injuries. The three suspects, who are all from London, were arrested soon after Cashford's body was found. They cannot be named because of their ages. Another girl, 12, who was arrested in Basildon, Essex,on Tuesday is still in custody while the police investigation continues. Detectives urged any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact them. Kent police confirmed that that Cashford had allegedly been assaulted after a disturbance involving a small group of people. Residents said the incident was shocking and that 'nothing ever happens' in the area.

Oxfordshire politicians urge council to invest in youth services
Politicians have urged a council to invest in youth services across the most deprived parts of a is one of the areas chosen for a government pilot scheme that will see £8m invested in supporting 12 local councils to provide more services and activities outside MPs Anneliese Dodds and Sean Woodcock, who represent Oxford East and Banbury respectively, wrote to Oxfordshire County Council leader Liz Leffman asking that their constituents "do not miss out on this opportunity".A spokesperson for the council said the specific areas of focus would be confirmed in September. The local authority will be awarded between £250,000 and £750,000 to deliver the scheme, according to the Local Democracy Reporting their letter, the MPs said: "We represent seven of the 10 wards with the highest levels of deprivation in Oxfordshire."These are exactly the kind of areas this investment is designed to help, and we ask that any plan Oxfordshire County Council proposals include these wards."The funding is from the government's Local Youth Transformation Pilot, which is an £88 million investment in supporting youth clubs and schools in England and Wales to offer more after-school Oxford City Councillor Linda Smith, who represents Blackbird Leys, said youth services in the county had been run as a "skeleton service" and that this new funding has "never been more needed".Independent Oxford Alliance councillor David Henwood, who represents Rose Hill and Littlemore, said it helped "manage anti-social behaviour and we see lots of value in doing that". A county council spokesperson said the scheme would build on the work of the new adolescence and prevention service within the children's social care team."These areas include consideration of the impact of rurality on young people, young people's voice and participation, partnership collaboration and workforce development," they added."We now wait to hear from The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to agree the specific areas of focus and that this will be confirmed in September." I had knife pulled on me in migrant camp, says Conservative shadow minister
Shadow home secretary Chris Philp has said he was pelted with bottles and had a knife pulled on him while speaking to migrants in a camp in northern France. The Conservative MP posted a video on social media discussing the incident with Daily Express journalist Zak Garner-Purkis who has accompanied him on his visit to France. In the clip, Philp says: "I found it pretty shocking - you said behind me somebody had pulled out some sort of machete and we left pretty quickly."Mr Garner-Purkis says the man was "swinging it around in the air" adding: "It was, clear he was doing it to send a message to the other people there - whether it was a case of 'don't speak'." In the video, the two men are recounting the incident while walking along the side of a road at which point objects can be seen being thrown at them.
