"Palestinians need a Nakba every now and then," says ex-'Israeli' intelligence chief
Aharon Haliva, the former head of 'Israel's' military intelligence who stepped down after the events of October 7, 2023, has been heard defending mass Palestinian deaths in Gaza as both 'necessary' and 'required for future generations.' In audio recordings aired Friday on Ulpan Shishi, a flagship news program on 'Israel's' Channel 12, Haliva said, 'The fact that there are already 50,000 dead in Gaza is necessary and required for future generations.' He also argued that for each 'Israeli' killed on October 7, 50 Palestinians must die in response. 'There's no choice, they need a Nakba every now and then to feel the consequences,' Haliva added, referencing the mass displacement and killings of Palestinians during the creation of 'Israel' in 1948. He claimed his remarks were not driven by revenge but rather as 'a message for future generations,' describing Gaza as a 'disturbed neighbourhood.' - Military failures and the Hannibal directive - Haliva resigned from his post in 2024 after admitting responsibility for failing to anticipate Hamas' operation in southern 'Israel', which killed at least 1,195 people, according to the 'Israeli' army. Reports in Haaretz revealed that during the chaos of that day, 'Israel' invoked the controversial 'Hannibal directive,' a military procedure that authorizes lethal force to prevent the capture of 'Israeli' soldiers, even at the risk of killing them. - "Hamas is good for Israel" - The recordings also touched on 'Israeli' strategy toward the Palestinians. Haliva suggested that 'Israel' had deliberately fostered instability in the West Bank to ensure Hamas, rather than the Palestinian Authority (PA), would gain influence, thereby undermining prospects for a two-state solution. He alleged that after 'Israel's' 2014 war on Gaza, a blueprint to dismantle Hamas was drawn up but never carried out. 'Hamas is good for Israel, that's [Finance Minister Bezalel] Smotrich's argument,' Haliva said, claiming that Smotrich advocates weakening the PA to let Hamas take over in the West Bank, as it did in Gaza. 'Why? Because if the entire Palestinian arena is destabilised and crazy, it is impossible to negotiate with,' he continued. 'Then there will be no agreement [on a Palestinian state].' Haliva stressed that the PA has international legitimacy that restricts 'Israel's' ability to act freely, whereas Hamas does not. 'Hamas is an organisation that you can fight freely, it has no international justification, it has no legitimacy, you can fight it with a sword,' he said.

Las Vegas police arrest 'Israeli' cybersecurity official in pedophilia investigation
An 'Israeli' cybersecurity executive has been arrested in the United States on suspicion of involvement in online child exploitation, according to reports in 'Israel' and Nevada. Yedioth Ahronoth, an 'Israeli' news outlet, identified the official as 38-year-old Tom Alexandrovich, a senior figure within the Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD). He was taken into custody by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department while attending an international cyber conference on behalf of the directorate last week. Police in Las Vegas said Alexandrovich was one of eight individuals arrested in a recent sting operation. 'A multi-agency operation targeting child sex predators [which] led to the arrest of eight individuals over the past two weeks,' the department confirmed in a statement. Authorities added that the suspects 'face felony charges of Luring a Child with Computer for Sex Act.' Court filings cited by Yedioth Ahronoth allege that Alexandrovich attempted to 'seduce a mentally ill child using computer technology to have sex.' He appeared before a judge in Nevada and was later released on USD 10,000 bail. The cyber directorate, which operates under the 'Israeli' Prime Minister's Office, initially downplayed the incident, saying, 'The employee informed the Directorate that during his trip to the United States he was questioned by the US authorities on matters not related to work matters, and returned to Israel on the scheduled date of return. The Directorate has not yet received additional details through the authorised channels. If it receives, the Directorate will act accordingly. At this stage, in a joint decision, the employee went on leave to deal with the matter until things will become clear.' However, Las Vegas police records contradict this version, confirming that Alexandrovich had indeed been arrested. The INCD later clarified that it had 'not been involved in any matter related to the bail.' In 'Israel', police declined to confirm whether they would investigate upon Alexandrovich's return. 'As a rule, any complaint or information that raises suspicion of committing a criminal offence is examined by the police, and where there is a reasonable basis for suspicion that a criminal offence has been committed, an investigation is opened in accordance with each case and its circumstances,' a spokesperson said. The arrest comes amid growing scrutiny of senior 'Israeli' officials. Just weeks earlier, 'Israel's' ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Yossi Shelley, was recalled after Emirati officials accused him of inappropriate conduct. Shelley, a close ally of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was alleged to have made repeated comments about prostitutes and to have engaged in behavior that Emirati authorities deemed unacceptable. A senior 'Israeli' diplomat told Channel 12 that Shelley frequently discussed sex workers with colleagues and once clashed with security staff in Abu Dhabi. 'The subject he talks about all the time in an exaggerated way is prostitutes,' the official said. 'That's what he tells everyone about, that's what he likes to talk about the most.' According to the report, Shelley visited 'dubious places' during his posting and reacted angrily when local officials attempted to intervene, allegedly shouting at security guards, 'You won't lock me up.'

President of the Senate: Jordan is a Pillar of Stability in the Region - Jordan News
President of the Jordanian Senate, Faisal Al-Fayez, affirmed that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, is a pillar of stability and a safety valve for the region. He noted that both the global community—and the West in particular—recognize Jordan's pivotal role in preserving the security and stability of the region. اضافة اعلان Speaking during a meeting with the President and members of the Amman Group for Future Dialogues at the Senate headquarters on Sunday, Al-Fayez outlined the key pillars of the Jordanian state, foremost of which is the Hashemite Throne, represented by King Abdullah II—who possesses religious, historical, political legitimacy, and legitimacy of achievement. Key Pillars of the Jordanian State Al-Fayez emphasized the importance of strong state institutions, good governance, and diversity built on mutual respect among all citizens regardless of origin. He stated that national identity, second only to the Hashemite Throne, is a guarantor of Jordan's stability. He also highlighted the unwavering loyalty of Jordanians to their leadership and deep-rooted sense of belonging to their homeland. He added that the strength of the Constitution and the rule of law are fundamental constants of the state, along with Jordan's security, safety, and stability—all safeguarded under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King. The King is seen as the spearhead of Jordan's balanced foreign policy, which prioritizes political, economic, and social security. Support for Palestine and National Sovereignty Al-Fayez underscored the role of the Jordan Armed Forces and security apparatus as the protective shield of the nation. He reiterated Jordan's firm and unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause, describing it as a core principle of the country's foreign policy. He stressed the importance of political sovereignty and decision-making independence as key pillars of Jordan's identity. Call for National Interests First Al-Fayez urged that Jordan's national interests must take precedence when addressing domestic and regional challenges. He noted Jordan's historic commitment to Arab causes, especially the Palestinian issue, which remains a top political priority for His Majesty the King. He affirmed Jordan's capacity to defend its interests and principles, and to confront Israel's expansionist and aggressive policies. Jordan, he said, is a solid and resilient state, upheld by its Hashemite leadership, loyal people, armed forces, security institutions, and constitutional entities. Facing Economic Challenges and Media Campaigns While Jordan remains politically and security-wise strong, Al-Fayez acknowledged the need to address economic challenges, most of which are linked to regional instability and ongoing crises. He also emphasized the need for a robust and unified media discourse to counter what he described as "vile and aggressive campaigns" aimed at destabilizing Jordan's social fabric and national positions. Firm Rejection of Forced Displacement Al-Fayez reiterated Jordan's categorical rejection of the forced displacement of Palestinians, calling it an act of war against Jordan that the Kingdom will resist with strength and resolve. He reaffirmed that Jordan will not accept displacement under any circumstances, a position repeatedly emphasized by His Majesty. He called for a unified Arab and Islamic stance in support of Jordan and His Majesty's efforts in defending national constants and the Palestinian cause. Unified National Front From their side, Bilal Al-Tal, President of the Amman Group, and group members stressed the importance of resisting campaigns targeting Jordan's security and stability. They called on political parties to play a greater role in addressing national challenges and emphasized the importance of economic development and a unified national media voice. They renewed their loyalty to the Hashemite Throne and their allegiance to Jordan's soil, underlining the necessity of strengthening the internal front and rallying around Jordan's leadership.
