Celebrity Big Brother star receives British citizenship as she proudly waves the Union Jack flag
Marisha Wallace received her British Citizenship as she paraded a Union Jack flag around London on Thursday.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star, 39, was given her new Citizenship as she appeared at Bromley Council's Civic Centre in a floral pink gown.
The two-time Olivier award-nominated actress has called London home for several years, and today's ceremony marked a 'deeply personal milestone'.
The intimate event was attended by close friends Billy Porter, Arlene Phillips and Zeze Millz.
The ceremony took place as part of the UK's official citizenship process, during which Marisha pledged allegiance to the Crown and received her certificate from Bromley Council.
Attendees celebrated with photos and warm tributes following the formal proceedings were held at The Londoner in Leicester Square.
For her special day, Marisha stunned in a Rosalee floral-print stretch cotton-blend midi dress and pale pink heels.
Speaking of the ceremony, Marisha said: 'I feel like I graduated and got married all on the same day.
'I feel really proud — when I got here eight years ago, I was embraced. Today was like the final adoption papers.
'I'm really proud to be British and I've always felt British. I sang the national anthem at the Royal Variety Show last year and getting the King Charles' seal of approval was so special.
'I've always wanted to be a leading lady and I didn't get that opportunity in America. In the UK, it was never even a doubt or question — I never had to second guess it.
'I've got to play roles I don't think I would be able to play on Broadway. All my dreams came true here, and I didn't even know it was where I was supposed to be.'
Marisha appeared on the ITV show last year after she endured a turbluent spell involving Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu .
She was the fifth housemate evicted, leaving on Day 16 in a double eviction and was involved in some controversial drama during her time.
Ekin-Su was criticised by viewers after she broke down in hysterical tears when Marisha, 38, picked her during face-to-face nominations.
Speaking to MailOnline at the time, Marisha insisted the pair are still on speaking terms now they are both out of the house.
She said: 'Ekin-Su and I have been in contact since leaving the house - she's alright.'
However, the theatre star admitted she still thinks she made the right decision in nominatiing Ekin-Su for eviction.
She said: 'I don't regret nominating Ekin-Su - everything worked out how it was supposed to'

More info Royal enthusiasts are buzzing over Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis's expected appearance at the upcoming Trooping the Colour, a rare occasion that typically sees the young royals taking centre stage. While the event celebrates the King's birthday, it's often the children who capture public attention with their charming antics, such as the memorable case of Prince Louis garnering admiration for his mischievous nature and expressive countenance. In 2023, Prince Louis' impish behaviour led to a pointed reprimand from his parents when the visibly restless prince awaited the RAF flypast with an air of impatience. A lip-reading expert examined footage showing Prince William advising Louis, "They work in twos." Louis's response was an underwhelmed "Oh", which prompted Kate to gently coax him with the words, "Hey, it's alright, listen," followed by William's clarification about the aircrafts' need for intricate manoeuvres, reports the Mirror. Prince Louis's dejected expression soon gave way to excitement as he engaged in mimicking the planes, delightedly offering a salute much to the crowd's joy. Observing his body language, Judi James, a body language specialist, noted Louis's eagerness for the Red Arrows, signified by his anticipatory fist-pumping while he eagerly awaited their appearance. Prince Louis certainly became the centre of attention on the Palace balcony during the 2022 Trooping the Colour, charming the nation with his animated expressions and palpable excitement for the flypast. A lipreader disclosed to the Mirror the apparent topic of their exchange, revealing Louis's keen interest. Jeremy Freeman, a lipreading expert, reported that Louis queried, "Are the Red Arrows coming?" The Queen responded with characteristic dryness, "I hope so." Louis's enthusiasm seemingly reached its zenith when the Red Arrows finally appeared, streaking the sky with the colours of the Union Jack. According to Mr Freeman, the young Royal jubilantly shouted: "Yes, yes, yes." He also noted that the Queen remarked: "There it is," followed by Louis's awestruck comment: "Oh, Red Arrows-whoah." Mr Freeman further interpreted another interaction among the royals when Louis, reacting to the thunderous sound of planes forming the number 70 above Buckingham Palace, covered his ears. The Queen reportedly said: "Ohh fun" while Kate expressed "amazing" and Charlotte contributed a "Wow". As the noise overwhelmed him, Louis exclaimed: "Whoah - that was loud", and Kate, watching proudly, said to Prince William "look at him" - referring to their son. Royal enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the appearance of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis on the Buckingham Palace balcony this Saturday, during the King's birthday celebrations. All eyes will be on young Louis to see what playful mischief he gets up to next.

JoJo Siwa slams Miley Cyrus as she makes 'in the closet dig' and feud erupts
JoJo Siwa didn't take kindly to Miley Cyrus comments regarding her relationship with Chris Hughes and has defiantly hit back. Flowers songstress Miley, 32, caused outrage earlier in the week after a snarky joke about the 22-year-old former Dance Moms star's sexuality. She poked fun at JoJo in a clip shared at World Pride over the weekend. The video saw Miley speaking from inside a closet. She said: "Oh, my God, I haven't been in here since sixth grade! Enjoy coming out of the closet if this Pride is the time for you. It shouldn't be a month - it should be a year; it should be infinite." Despite the initial positive message, Miley then quipped: "I'm going back inside to get more pretzels and find JoJo Siwa and bring her back out." However the comment wasn't well received by the Karma singer who confessed the comment wasn't "what the world, or myself needs to hear any day of the week". While there seemed to be discontent, JoJo tried to shake off the jibe, insisting it is "all love" between the duo. She admitted, however, that it is hard to hear such judgement from "someone you love, and look up to". JoJo took to Instagram to share a lengthy post about her admiration for Miley, showing snaps from her Miley-themed fifth birthday party. She also uploaded images of herself with her idol, as well as a picture of her in a jumper printed with the singer's face on. Explaining how the former Hannah Montana star had inspired her as a youngster, JoJo confessed she "wasn't sure how I felt about things for a couple of days," after hearing the comments. However, she has said she doesn't think the quip was ill intended - simply calling it a not very good joke. She added in the upload's caption: " I messaged miley light heartedly about it and she replied and said 'All love. Always." JoJo continued: "Honestly the most beautiful thing I've learned in the last 5 years is that love is a gorgeous rainbow. Don't question yourself, don't second guess yourself, just love. Love love love love love. "People judge no matter what, and it can be very hard, especially when it comes from someone you love, and look up to… but if you feel happy and content with yourself, that's most important. You get one life… hold onto it, make it yours, find your happy, and love." The comments came after JoJo and fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate Chris went public with their relationship. The duo continue to showcase the blossoming romance in sweet social media uploads. Recently, JoJo spent time with the former Love Island star and his family in the Cotswolds. She also told Capital Breakfas t presenter Jordan North earlier this week how tight their bond has become. "You know what's interesting? As hectic as life is, and as much as that noise goes on, I feel like Christopher and I discovered this beautiful house together," she gushed. "And this house is earthquake proof, and it's fireproof, and bulletproof. "And you know, we discovered this house and found the keys, and we took the keys and locked ourselves in, and now it's like... You know what I mean? I feel like that with myself, I feel like that with him."
