WWE icon The Undertaker forced to undergo secret lifesaving surgery
WWE legend The Undertaker has revealed he secretly underwent heart surgery just one day after attending WrestleMania 41.
The 60-year-old retired Hall of Famer, who called time on his wrestling career in 2020 after a Boneyard Match against AJ Styles, has opened up about a 'terrifying' health scare after he was getting 'out of breath' from everyday tasks.
Undertaker, whose real name is Mark Callaway, was in Las Vegas in April to see his wife Michelle McCool get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
However, the wrestling power couple have revealed he was in the middle of a health scare and wasn't even meant to travel.
'It's because of the heart issues you've been having weeks prior. Which, by the grace of god, we found out just by — it ended up being terrifying,' Michelle said on his Six Feet Under podcast.
'The day we got home from WrestleMania, the next day at 6am, we were at the hospital for a little bit of heart surgery.'
The Phenom admitted he 'wasn't supposed to go to Vegas', and Michelle insisted it was 'not fair' on her that she had to keep the heart issues – which have since been resolved – a secret.
'We were in the hospital for four nights two weeks before WrestleMania,' she added. 'I'm not mad at it because I'd probably be the same, but it was terrifying.'
The former Divas Champion 'couldn't focus on anything else', as she worried about making sure her husband got 'the best cardiologist'.
'Which we eventually did, but that took a lot of phone calls. Several nights in the hospital. By the grace of god you are here,' she said. 'But out of the words of the doctor himself, it could've turned out badly had we not found it that day.'
They revealed that Undertaker hadn't been feeling 'any symptoms' besides being out of breath after things like 'throwing ball with the dog' or walking upstairs to pray with their children.
'Medicines didn't work and we ended up in the ER on a Friday. Of course you wouldn't stay the night,' Michelle told her man.
'At the end of Kai's flag football all day Saturday, you looked at me and said, 'I'm still in a-fib,' because you were doing it with the watch.'
The next morning, he was still feeling it, and so they went to hospital where his numbers and heart beat were 'out of wack'.

Michelle recalled: 'Your ejection fracture of how the blood was pumping or whatever was 30%, it wasn't much.
'Supposed to be 100%, obviously. We ended up staying in the hospital for four nights where they actually had to cardiovert you and shock you back to a normal rhythm.
'That sadly lasted, what, 24 hours. Maybe 48. After four days we go home, two days later you're back in a-fib. Man I was stressed.'
Since walking away from WWE, Undertaker has stayed busy in and around the wrestling world, with occasional appearances on Raw and NXT. More Trending
He also performs his One deadMan Show around the world, but it was still a heartbreaking moment when he had to retire.
He exclusively told Metro: 'In my heart, I wasn't ready to do it but in my mind I knew I had to. It's been a difficult transition because if I physically could, I would still be going.

'But I can't put on a match the way people expect to see The Undertaker wrestle. There's no sense in tarnishing the legacy, or cashing in on the equity that I built up.'

EastEnders icon's return 'sealed' as fans 'solve' soap's clue in new trailer
EastEnders are dropping even more hints about Monday's big episode - and their latest video has fans convinced they've solved the 'blink and you'll miss it' clue EastEnders fans have been treated to yet another teaser video of Monday night's highly anticipated episode, with a "blink or you'll miss it" clue. Last night, it was announced that the BBC soap will simulcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7.30pm, as EastEnders ' new executive producer Ben Wadey's first episode airs. That's not all, as Wadey told fans to prepare for something huge. He said: 'Next week marks the start of something big in Walford that we hope will get everyone talking, and it's only just the beginning. We've got twists, shocks, and plenty of drama lined up for a summer you don't want to miss.' The soap have now released a new trailer, which appears to show the POV of someone walking out the tube station. Fans are convinced it's a female, as they can hear the clicking of heels. The camera then goes down an empty street, as the soap teased there's a discrete clue in the video, with the caption: "Blink and you'll miss it! #EastEnders, 7:30pm, Monday 16th June on @BBCOn e and @BBCiPlayer." Some fans were already convinced it would be actress Michelle Ryan making her return as Zoe Slater, after reports emerged last month. Now, the clicking of the heels has solidified their theory that it's a female resident entering the Square. Zoe was last seen on the soap leaving Walford in 2005, via the tube, with fans convinced it hinted towards a return as she entered back where she left. However, one eagle-eyed fan has gone one step further - noticing a "secret sign" on the wall. A poster can be seen on the wall advertising a Jazz Festival in Walford, and one eagle-eyed fan noticed the letters Z-O-E placed in a diagonal line. "you can't convince me it's not Zoe with the tube entrance and all #eastenders," the caption of the screenshot read. A number of fans were in agreement, as another penned: "STOPPP THE POSTER!" Other fans noticed someone had written "Y2K" on a post. "And Y2K = 2000," wrote one. "The year the Slaters, including Zoe were introduced." It comes weeks after it was rumoured that Michelle would be reprising her role as Zoe. Speaking on Michelle's potential return to the soap last month, a source told The Sun: 'Bosses have repeatedly reached out to Michelle over the years, but the timing has never been quite right. 'People are still talking about her character, so it's a real coup to bring her back. She feels like now is the perfect moment — and there was an exciting script on the table.' A spokesperson for the BBC offered "no comment" when asked about the reports of Michelle's return.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson reveals shocking battle with years-long health issue
For a guy who's known for his impressive physique, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has always seemed indestructible. But behind the tough-guy acting and countless WWE appearances, the 53-year-old star was privately dealing with a gut health issue that stumped doctors and disrupted his daily life for years. In a conversation on The Mark Hyman Show, Johnson recently revealed that he had been suffering in silence from an ongoing digestive problem with no clear diagnosis. 'I feel great - and that's the odd thing - but I just can't crack it,' he told host Dr. Mark Hyman about how he felt prior to connecting with him. Despite feeling physically strong, something in The Rock's system just wasn't working right. But the turning point came in late 2023 during a conversation with his longtime business partner and former agent, Ari Emanuel, who encouraged Johnson consider trying functional medicine. Functional medicine is a field focused on addressing root causes rather than just symptoms. Emanuel connected him with Dr. Hyman - a leader in the field - who took a deeper look into Johnson's health with a virtual consult. 'I had no idea what functional medicine was,' Johnson admitted. But after hearing Hyman's approach - going beyond surface-level symptoms to tackle the root of the issue - he was all in. What followed was a mix of tests, including blood panels and stool analysis, to find what traditional medicine had missed. They uncovered something surprising: Johnson's gut was still recovering from multiple rounds of antibiotics, which had wiped out a key bacteria called Akkermansia. This bacteria plays a major role in maintaining the lining of the intestines and keeping inflammation in check. Without it, Johnson had developed symptoms of what's commonly referred to as 'leaky gut.' 'I was just getting ready to launch into what would become a nine-month workload for me - nonstop work,' Johnson said. The workload was his packed 2024 schedule that consisted of WWE matches, promoting Moana 2 and Red One, and shooting his upcoming biopic The Smashing Machine. Part of the workload included regular WWE matches, promoting movies, and shooting his biopic 'And I was thinking, "Holy s**t, how am I going to get through this with my gut issues?"' With Dr. Hyman's help, Johnson began a targeted treatment plan at the start of 2024. The approach included personalized probiotics, plant-based compounds like cranberry and green tea, and a custom gut-healing shake filled with more than 10 different ingredients. Slowly but surely, his digestive health began to improve. 'We basically rehabbed your gut,' Dr. Hyman said during the podcast. 'And now you're thriving.' Johnson hasn't returned to the ring since WrestleMania 40, but he's stayed busy - and notably healthier - behind the scenes. And while he was the catalyst behind John Cena's major WWE storyline shift earlier this year, it's clear that the real transformation was happening off-camera. He told Dr. Hyman that he shared his story to remind others that healing sometimes means looking beyond the obvious and digging deep, even when you're The Rock.
