Emmerdale fans 'solve' who Ray was on the phone to - and who he's working with
Ray in Emmerdale was shown making a cryptic phone call with an accomplice during Tuesday's episode of the ITV soap. Now, some fans are convinced he's working with a familiar face.
Just weeks on from Joe Tate being tipped to be in cahoots with Ray, a mystery scene in the latest episode has sparked more theories. Ray was shown targeting both Dylan Penders and April Windsor, before speaking to someone about their dodgy dealings.
It comes as spoilers revealed April would be the villain's next target, with him already dragging Dylan into his drug dealing. Next week April will be left torn as she's manipulated into a drug drop by Ray, with it not revealed if she goes through with it or not.
On Tuesday night we saw Dylan turning down a job from Ray, who feigned acceptance of this. It was clear he was manipulating the teenager, giving him loads of money and claiming to be his friend.
With Dylan not keen to help Ray, he told him he couldn't help him on the latest job and Ray said it was okay. But at the end of the episode we saw him spying on both Dylan and April, before making a worrying comment.
He was speaking to someone on the phone but their identity was not revealed. Ray told the mystery person that April was "sweet and innocent" and would be perfect for whatever they had planned.
He claimed she would be "of use to them", no doubt with their dodgy dealings and jobs like the ones Dylan has been doing. But who was Ray speaking with, and who is he working with?
Viewers had a theory or two about this, believing we already know the person on the other end of the phone. Some fans have gone back to the Joe theory, believing they are working together.
Another theory speculated that fellow newcomer Celia might be linked to Ray. One theory said: "Anyone else curious as to who Ray was on the phone with? I reckon it's someone we know like Joe."
Another post echoed this theory saying: "Is Ray working with Joe?" Meanwhile another fan commented: "Imagine if Ray was working with Celia." It comes amid Celia teaming up with Moira Dingle after both of them had drama with the Tates.
Celia had a farm related business offer amid Moira's financial woes, while Celia revealed Kim Tate had raised her rent. Fans wondered if Celia was really helping Moira or if she was secretly against her.

BBC presenter accused of 'showing penis picture' to staff member who burst into tears
BBC presenter accused of 'showing penis picture' to staff member who burst into tears It's the latest scandal to hit the BBC which has had to take action against a number of stars after a series of varied incidents (Image: Getty Images) The BBC has reportedly been embroiled in yet another controversy involving a prominent female presenter who allegedly displayed a 'penis picture' to a junior colleague - reducing them to tears. The broadcaster is accused of showing an image of male genitalia on her mobile phone during an informal chat whilst asking the producer whether she "liked d*** pics". Masterchef viewers said they noticed one thing about John Torode and Gregg Wallace in the show's return - read the full story here. Sources suggest the star posed an inappropriate question to the young employee before revealing the photograph. For our free daily briefing on the biggest issues facing the nation, sign up to the Wales Matters newsletter here The junior producer was reportedly left "horrified and in tears" following the incident. It remains unclear whose private parts appeared in the image, reports the Mirror. Management were informed of the encounter, with the presenter subsequently called into a confidential meeting where she was instructed to offer an apology for her behaviour. BBC personnel have characterised the crisis as a "ticking time bomb", with concerns mounting over potential widespread consequences should the presenter's name emerge publicly. A source told The Sun: "This incident goes beyond ordinary workplace banter. The staff member felt intimidated and upset, believing the act was meant to shock under the guise of a joke. "There's a sense that if this had involved a male presenter, the repercussions would have been immediate and severe. The fact that it's a woman at the centre of this makes the situation even more striking." The insider suggested the exchange was intended as 'jokey, locker-room type banter' but ultimately left the young producer in distress. A spokesperson for the BBC stated: "While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously." The past year has seen the BBC embroiled in a series of controversies, including the dismissal of several Strictly Come Dancing stars due to their behaviour, as well as Gregg Wallace and John Torode's recent departure from MasterChef. The corporation also faced criticism for its coverage of the Glastonbury Festival. This year, Welsh presenter Wynne Evans was let go from his radio role at the BBC following allegations regarding his conduct. Jermaine Jenas, host of The One Show, was also dismissed by the corporation for sending inappropriate messages to two female colleagues. In another incident, Huw Edwards admitted guilt to possessing indecent images of children and avoided a custodial sentence after confessing to three counts of 'making' indecent photographs when he received 41 illegal images from a convicted paedophile via WhatsApp. Article continues below The former BBC presenter was given a six-month prison sentence, suspended for 24 months, and added to the sex offenders register for seven years.

Has Steph Miligan left Emmerdale for good as Georgia Jay departs?
This article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that has not aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX. Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) recently reconciled with Ross Barton (Mike Parr) in Emmerdale after a bit of timely intervention by Ross's brother Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches). Ross and Steph had formed quite a bond after getting together initially through a combination of lust and Steph wanting to wind her parents up. The relationship evolved into one of genuine affection on both sides. But then Steph learned that her beloved grandfather Anthony (Nicholas Day) was actually her biological father after he abused her mum, Ruby (Beth Cordingly). And then she found that Ruby had killed Anthony and his body had been disposed of by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) in an as yet to be disclosed location. In the aftermath of discovering Anthony's abuse, Steph became fixated on her resemblance to him and was so desperate she even tried to have surgery to alter her appearance. Ross wanted to support her through this hard time, but she pushed him away. She's since been going to therapy to try to help her move on. Lewis's recent match-making brought the two back together again, and this time Steph felt comfortable enough for them to sleep together. After this, Ross declared that there hadn't been anyone else in his life since he and Steph broke up, casually omitting to mention he'd had a fling with Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker). This was exposed by Manpreet while in the cafe with Lewis and Ruby, who were gossiping about her love life – or lack thereof. Manpreet casually confirmed she slept with Ross just as he walked into the cafe with Steph. Unaware that the couple were back together, Manpreet didn't realise she had unintentionally just exposed Ross as a liar. Steph, who had worked hard to tell herself that she could trust Ross again, was devastated and made it clear she didn't want to continue their relationship. And even Ross admitting that he was in love with Steph wasn't enough! In the episode of the ITV soap that airs this evening, Steph tells her parents that she's booked a yoga retreat in Rome. She wants to get away from the village for a while, and Ruby and Caleb (William Ash) are very understanding. Just as she gets into the taxi, Ross tries to get her to change her mind, but Steph doesn't want to be anywhere near him. Steph's departure ties in with Georgia Jay's maternity leave, following the announcement she is expecting her first baby. As ever with temporary departures, we will see Steph again soon, but just when that will be remains unknown at the moment. Announcing her pregnancy on Instagram, Georgia wrote back in June: 'As you've probably guessed, I've got some news to share! I know some of you have been wondering if you've been seeing a little bump on screen lately… well, it's not your imagination…I'm having a baby!'. She added: 'We've never been so excited and a little nervous all at once. Thank you for all the love and support.' In upcoming episodes Ruby decides to confront Manpreet at the surgery about her fling with Ross. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? Manpreet's embarrassed and later on turns up at the Depot to retaliate. Ruby refuses to speak to her, so Manpreet hijacks a forklift and refuses to get off until Ruby talks to her. More Trending Goading Ruby, Manpreet brings up the subject of her ill-advised dalliance with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) on the day of Moira (Natalie J Robb)'s surgery. Ruby brushes this off as it's old news, but when Manpreet mentions Steph, Ruby flips and attacks her. The fight escalates and they're both eventually arrested and taken into custody – giving them ample opportunity to thrash out their differences. Real-life soap couples Soaps are renowned for their sweet and scandalous romances – but it's not just in scripted storylines where love is blossoming. A number of our favourite small-screen actors have fallen for co-stars and soapland rivals when the cameras have stopped rolling. Max Parker and Kris Mochrie Despite playing brothers Luke and Lee Posner on Emmerdale, the pair never actually shared any scenes together. But the pair still fell in love after meeting on set. Max and Kris got together in 2020, moving in together later than same year and got engaged in 2022. In a sweet Instagram post, the couple confirmed they're planning a 2025 wedding. Beth Cordingly and Ian Kelsey Beth, who plays Ruby Fox-Miligan, announced her love for her co-star Ian Kelsey, who played Dean Glover, shortly after she joined Emmerdale at the beginning of 2024. Laura Norton and Mark Jordan Kerry Wyatt and Daz Eden actors Laura and Mark met on the set of Emmerdale in 2014. The couple, who got engaged in 2018, told Loose Women they spent a long time deciding whether they should "just stay as friends." Although it seems they were meant to be and the pair now share two children together. Zoe Henry and Jeff Hordley Emmerdale favourites Zoe and Jeff, who play Rhonda Goskirk and Cain Dingle met at drama college in 1994 and have been together ever since. While working together might be too much for some couples, that's definitely not the case for Zoe and Jeff. Zoe previously told The Sun: "Working on the same show as Jeff also helps because if one of us is having a bad day then the other will completely understand." Lesley Dunlop and Chris Chittell Lesley and Chris are another Dales romantic success story. Unlike some of the other soap stars, the pair who play Brenda Walker and Eric Pollard, are together on and off screen, officially tying the knot in 2016. They also adore working together, but have clear home-work boundaries. "We make a point of not talking about Emmerdale when we're at home, though – that would be just too sad, wouldn't it?" Chris revealed. Sally Carman and Joe Duttine Abi Franklin and Tim Metcalfe actors Sally and Joe got together after meeting on the set of Coronation Street in 2017 and they tied the knot in July 2022. But unlike some of the Emmerdale stars, Sally and Joe prefer that their characters don't interact much. Sally previously admitted it "would be horrendous" to work on a storyline with Joe because "he's too funny." Anthony Cotton and Peter Eccleston Sean Tully may have been unlucky in love on the cobbles, but in real life Antony's met his Prince Charming. The soap star started dating long-term partner Peter in 2005, after they met when he was working as an assistant props buyer on Corrie. Jane Danson and Robert Beck Corrie favourite Jane Danson tied the knot with soap star Robert Beck in 2005. The actress, who plays Leanne Battersby, shares two children, Harry and Sam, with the former Brookside star. During their marriage, Robert has also done a stint in Weatherfield playing criminal Jimmy Dockerson. Caroline Harding and Chris Gascoyne Chris, who played pub landlord Peter Barlow, married soap star Caroline in 2002. Although she is best known as an Emmerdale star, Caroline did visit her husband at work when she did a two-episode stint as doctor on the Manchester soap in 2020. The couple share a daughter called Belle, plus two children, Pip and Freddie from Caroline's previous marriage. Nadine Mulkerrin and Rory Douglas Speed Nadine Mulkerrin, and Rory Doulas Speed are known for their Hollyoaks alter egos Cleo McQueen and Joel Dexter. Sophie Austin and Shayne Ward Former Hollyoaks star Sophie, whose best known for playing villain Lindsay Butterfield, was introduced to singer and ex-Corrie star Shayne through mutual friends. She gave birth to their daughter Willow in December 2016 and they welcomed a son in 2022.
