Mr Lyons wasn't convinced by the numbers, ' Early in her speech the Chancellor said, is the plan credible, and the answer unfortunately is, no.'
'T he starting position is debt is very high, and I think we're in the early stages of Britain going into a debt crisis. If you're looking for good news, it might be that we're not the only country facing this problem; but today the Chancellor gave a speech that I think lacked a lot of the detail.'
Allison is not convinced by the claims the economy is stabilising, ' We know it is not true, and we are already starting to see the impact on employment and on businesses. We know payrolls have fallen, that employment's fallen by over 250,000 since Rachel Reeves' budget. This is not an economy where you should be taking the gambles that she's taking. Where is the growth going to come from?'

100,000 electric vehicle charging points to be installed with £381m funding
Some 100,000 street-side electric vehicle (EVs) charging points will be installed across England as a result of £381 million funding, ministers have said. The cash aims to help the uptake of electric cars among motorists who do not have their own driveways and charging points. The new charging points come on top of 80,000 already installed publicly across the UK, and tens of thousand more installed privately. Transport minister Lilian Greenwood said: 'This Government is powering up the EV revolution by rolling out a charge point every 29 minutes, and our support to roll out over 100,000 local charge points in England shows we're committed to making even more progress. 'We're delivering our Plan for Change by investing over £4 billion to support drivers to make the switch, while backing British car makers through international trade deals – creating jobs, boosting investment and securing our future.' The money comes from the Government's Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure fund, which helps councils to instal new EV charging points. Meanwhile, in a sign of growing market confidence in EVs, London-based firm Believ has secured £300 million to roll out charging points across the UK.

'No Kings' rallies planned June 14 in metro Phoenix to counter DC military parade
Thousands of 'No Kings' demonstrations against President Donald Trump are poised to take place on June 14 across the country and in Arizona. The 'No Kings Nationwide Day of Defiance' was scheduled as counterprogramming to a military parade marking the U.S. Army's 250th anniversary. The date also coincides with Trump's 79th birthday. Now, more than 2,000 protests and rallies are planned across the country, according to organizers of the 'No Kings' events. Amid escalations of protests against ICE raids in Los Angeles, the organization reiterated in a statement on June 8, 'all No Kings events adhere to a shared commitment to nonviolent protest and community safety.'
