It's been more than a month since Nintendo Switch 2 hit store shelves, but the hybrid console remains frustratingly tricky to track down. Switch 2 restocks have been limited, and when a retailer does have increased availability, the console typically sells out in minutes.
The good news is that retailers are working behind the scenes to replenish inventory, and we've seen several restocks from the likes of Walmart, Target and Best Buy. While some of these have been in-store, we've also seen several online drops over the past few weeks.
Conversely, for Nintendo fans in the U.K., getting hold of a Switch 2 has been comparatively easy. Nintendo Switch 2 restocks in the region have been more frequent and have often lasted days rather than minutes or hours. If you're in the U.K. and want a Switch 2, you likely won't have to wait very long to get the chance to secure Nintendo's new hybrid console.
As a reminder, Nintendo Switch 2 launched on June 5, and costs $449 / £395 standalone or $499 / £429 bundled with Mario Kart World. Unscrupulous scalpers are hoping impatient players will opt to spend more than the standard retail price, but don't give in and cough up more than is fair on a reseller marketplace. Switch 2 restocks are just around the corner.
I've been tracking Switch 2 restocks since launch, and have more than five years of experience covering restock for in-demand gaming products. In this live blog, I'm bringing you the latest Switch 2 restock updates, and also providing all the retailer links you'll need.
Walmart last restocked the Nintendo Switch 2 on Wednesday, June 25. The restock event was initially exclusive to Walmart Plus members, starting at 9 p.m. ET, before opening up to everyone at 10 p.m. ET. Stock has since run out.Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ Walmart
Best Buy last restocked the Switch 2 online on June 11. The electronics retailer has been another regular source of Switch 2 stock, and also held an in-store restock this week on Tuesday, July 1. Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ Best Buy
Target last restocked the Switch 2 on Friday, June 6. This could mean the next drop is a little ways off as the retailer may need some time to build up its inventory again. Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ Target
GameStop is currently sold out of Switch 2 consoles. However, as a specialist video game retailer, we're expecting more stock to arrive shortly, so watch this space. Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ GameStop
After being absent from the Switch 2 pre-order phase, Amazon U.S. launched a Nintendo Switch 2 listing page last week. But in a very strange move, it's now taken it down again, so at present there are no signs of Switch 2 stock at Amazon U.S. Over in the U.K., the mega retailer has been stocking Switch 2 for weeks and restocked often.
My Nintendo Store is using an invite system to allocate its available Switch 2 stock. You will need to meet specific criteria, including having a Nintendo Switch Online account and then be selected and sent an invite to order the console. Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ Nintendo Store
Antonline's Switch 2 listings have a "coming soon" message. This could be a sign that the tech retailer is planning to restock the console in the near future, though that message has been there quite a while now, so it's a little puzzling. Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ Antonline
Newegg's Nintendo Switch 2 pages are live, but there's currently no stock. Newegg may restock the console soon, but nothing is confirmed yet, so this is another one to watch closely for now. Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ Newegg
Sam's Club has a listing page for the Nintendo Switch 2, which currently advises the console is "coming soon." This could be an indication that the retailer is planning to take Switch 2 orders in the near future, so be sure to watch this space.

The official Nintendo Switch 2 Camera is pretty dull, but this licensed third-party one from Hori is anything but. It's modeled after the iconic Piranha Planet from the Super Mario series and offers all the same features, plus you can close the Piranha's head to give yourself some privacy as needed. Huge caveat: it's resolution maxes out at 480p, whereas the Nintendo camera is 1080p.Additional retailers: Best Buy
You don't need the Switch Joy-Con 2 Wheel to enjoy games like Mario Kart World, but it'll sure make the experience much more fun. You can get a set of two for just $24. Additional retailers: Best Buy | GameStop
It's not the most exciting Switch 2 accessory, but should you need a spare AC adapter for your Switch to you can get one for $34. It connects directly to the Switch 2 Switch 2 dock.Additional retailers: Best Buy | GameStop
Take your Switch 2 on the road with the official Switch 2 All-In-One Carrying Case. It's big enough so you can carry the Switch 2, Nintendo Switch 2 dock, Joy-Con 2 controllers, various cables, and up to six game cards.Additional retailers: Best Buy | GameStop
The Switch 2 comes with an increased storage capacity of up to 2TB. However, the Switch 2 is only compatible with microSD Express cards, which means you'll need new storage cards for your console. Additional retailers: Best Buy | GameStop
Mario Kart World will launch on the same day as the Switch 2. This new entry will allow up to 24 drivers to take part in each race, and you'll be able to drive anywhere on the track. Nintendo also said gamers can expect new power-ups.Additional retailers: Best Buy | GameStop| Walmart
Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2 is the definitive way to enjoy CDPR's critically acclaimed first-person open-world RPG on the go. This Ultimate Edition also includes the essential Phantom Liberty DLC expansion, which opens up a new area of the map, the ruthless Dogtown. Additional retailers: Best Buy | GameStop
Donkey Kong Bananza will launch on July 17 and allow DK to smash his way through (and down into) the surrounding terrain. He can punch his way through mountains or head underground in search of collectibles. It's hands-down one of the Switch 2's biggest titles. Additional retailers: Best Buy | GameStop| Walmart

An enhanced edition of Kirby and the Forgotten Land will make its way to the Switch 2. It'll feature everything we loved about the original as well as some improvements like better graphical fidelity, HDR support, and frame rate improvements. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is being ported over to the Switch 2. It promises improved visuals and performance. It brings voice-assisted navigation, voice memories, and item sharing. Additional retailers: GameStop| Walmart
The original Switch's definitive launch game has returned for the Switch 2, and now it's been enhanced for Nintendo's new hardware. It's the masterpiece you (probably) know, but it looks and runs better than ever. If you've never played Breath of the Wild, there really isn't a better time to jump into Hyrule than via this Switch 2 Edition.Additional retailers: Best Buy
Hitman World of Assassination Signature Edition brings the complete IO Interactive trilogy to Nintendo Switch 2. In this action-stealth game, you play the world's most lethal killer, Agent 47, as they travel the globe eliminating high-value targets in a multitude of creative ways. Each mission is highly replayable, and this Signature Edition also comes with a wealth of extra content.

Beyond Prime Day, Energizer 20,000mAh Power Bank Is Almost Free at Best Buy's Black Friday in July

While battery lives on phones are often doing their best, the fact is that they never really last as long as you'd like. It's a pain to have to suddenly stop using your phone just to try and make that last 10% last until you actually get home, especially when you've got a commute ahead of you or anything else where you might want your GPS or some music. See at Best Buy It's in times like those that you're going to be incredibly thankful that today was the day you bought a good power bank. That's because this Energizer Max Power Bank is currently 30% off, which means that instead of paying the usual price of $30, you can nab it for just $20 on Best Buy. That's one heck of a discount, and puts it well within the realm of budget too. This power bank has a shockingly large capacity of 20,000mAh. That means that it's not only capable of charging a smartphone for up to an additional 72 hours of use, which should be more than enough for the vast majority of users, but also if you want to charge up a tablet or even a laptop. That amount of power is a huge help in a lot of different situations, and it's going to be a big part of your routine once you're used to it. It has an LCD digital display screen which makes it really easy to see how much power you've actually got left, which is an amazingly handy feature, and it has three outputs as well. That means you can charge three things at once if you need to, and that's always helpful if you're taking this thing to the beach for a long day with friends and family, or even if you're camping. It's got plenty of great safety features too, so you don't have to worry about short circuits, overcurrents, or overcharging. That's always nice if you're using it with expensive devices. Plus, on top of all of that, it comes with a USB-C cable as well. What more could you possibly ask for? We think this thing's kind of a bargain at $30, but with the 30% discount going on right now, the new price of $20 makes this a steal. If you can afford this and think you might need it, now's an excellent time to save yourself a little bit of money while adding more power to your life. See at Best Buy

The next Switch 2 restock kicks off at 7PM ET online at Walmart

Since its launch, the Nintendo Switch 2 has been notoriously difficult to buy, with many retailers selling out of their allotted stock within minutes. Luckily, there's good news: starting at 7PM Eastern today, Walmart Plus members will be able to purchase Nintendo's latest handheld console — either the standalone Switch 2 and the Mario Kart World bundle — through its website. The restock is happening just before its Walmart Deals event begins on July 8th, which lasts through July 13th. The standalone Switch 2 will go for $449 from Walmart. If you plan on picking up the excellent Mario Kart World, then you might as well opt for the Mario Kart World bundle, which will also be available at Walmart for $499. The bundle includes everything that comes with the Nintendo Switch 2 — a dock, a pair of Joy-Con 2 controllers, etc. — as well as a download code for a digital copy of the new Mario Kart game (valued at $79.99). It will be available as a limited-time purchase through fall (or while supplies last). In case you haven't had a chance to read our review, know that the Switch 2 arrives with a number of welcome upgrades over its predecessor, with the most notable being its larger 7.9-inch LCD display. It also features an improved U-shaped kickstand, 256GB of internal storage, and a pair of magnetic Joy-Con 2 controllers, which offer mouse-like functionality in select games and a new 'C' button that provides quick access to Nintendo's in-game voice and text chat feature, GameChat. The redesigned dock, meanwhile, features a built-in ethernet port and two USB-A ports. Sign up for Verge Deals to get deals on products we've tested sent to your inbox weekly.
