BLACKPINK Announces Asia Dates of "WORLD TOUR "

BLACKPINKhas announced the Asia leg of their upcoming 'WORLD TOUR .'
The new dates are set to kick off this October, starting with two nights at the Kaohsiung National Stadium.LISA,Rosé,JENNIEandJisoowill then play three shows in Bangkok, followed by two in Jakarta, Manila and Sinapore each by the end of November. BLACKPINK will take about a two-month break starting December before resuming and closing out the tour with dates in Hong Kong in late January.
'WORLD TOUR ' will mark BLACKPINK's first headlining trek since the '[Born Pink] World Tour' from 2022 to 2023. The tour previously made history as the highest-grossing tour by a girl group, and drew over 1.8 million fans worldwide.

The singer joined the likes of other big names such as Lady Gaga ("Mayhem") and Bad Bunny ("Debí Tirar Más Fotos") to receive recognition from the renowned magazine, with Rolling Stone comparing "Ruby" to the works of Rihanna. "Not only does Jennie have an impressive ability to command the centre of candy-coated pop-R&B, there are some moments that feel like, if not direct, at least second-generation descendants of the hazy introspection shown by the Barbadian mogul on her 2016 classic Anti," the magazine wrote. It is noted that Jennie was heavily involved in the making of her namesake album that was released back in March, which is said to be inspired by Shakespeare's "As You Like It" Aside from the chart-topping "Like Jennie", the album also features several collaborations, including "ExtraL" with rapper Doechii and "Love Hangover" with Dominic Fike. The new run of dates kicks off at Estadio Nacional in San Jose, Costa Rica on October 1. It takes in dates in El Salvador, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Peru before coming to an undoubtedly giddy climax on November 8 at Mexico City's Estadio GNP Seguros. The lead singer of the iconic '80s new wave sensation Simple Minds, along with original bandmate Charlie Burchill, are celebrating the 40th anniversary of their album Once Upon A Time with a world tour and live album. Videos shared to social media show Kerr has still got the pipes to belt out hits like Don't You (Forget About Me), the infectious theme song to the John Hughes-helmed classic The Breakfast a recent social media video, Kerr can be seen belting out the famous movie theme song while encouraging the crowd to sing with him. Simple Minds are playing to sold-out shows, a sign the guys are still as popular as they were in 1985 when the song was released. Fans love being brought back to 'a different place and time,' reliving the 1980s through music that is still as relevant today as it was back then. One wrote, "Wow 1985-2025." Other fans were wowed by the band's sound, calling them an 'amazing band.'And while many Simple Minds fans are seeing the band in a different light—now as parents instead of teens—some are enjoying the tour with their own teenagers, who likely know Don't You (Forget About Me) from the final scene in the 2012 comedy Pitch Perfect.
