GFS Developments in strategic partnership with AX Capital to lead global sales
GFS Developments, a leading real estate developer headquartered in Dubai, has entered into a strategic partnership with AX Capital, a tech-first real estate brokerage based in Dubai, to lead the international sales of its select projects.
The alliance will focus on optimizing global distribution channels for premium Dubai properties, including flagship projects like Coventry Gardens and Coventry 66.
AX Capital will serve as the preferred global sales and marketing partner for select GFS developments, enhancing the overall investor experience.
In an innovative shift away from multi-broker distribution models, this collaboration marks the beginning of a curated, brand-aligned property ecosystem that combines cutting-edge technology, regionally localized investment channels, and performance-focused sales.
The partnership will see AX Capital handle the international sales and marketing of a select range of GFS developments across key global markets. These include Europe, the USA, Canada, Turkey, and South Asia. The alliance will leverage a tech-enabled, data-driven investor onboarding model, offering multilingual investment channels and legal pathways tailored to the needs of international investors.
AX Capital's new, dedicated investment desks will launch in cities including London, Frankfurt, Paris, Istanbul, and Mumbai, enhancing the global reach of GFS Developments.
Additionally, co-branded international roadshows, integrated CRM systems, and advanced digital funnels will help streamline investor interactions and conversion tracking. The strategic use of VR walkthroughs, AI-driven onboarding, and ROI calculators by region will further revolutionize the investor experience.
'At GFS, our mission has always been simple but bold: to create real estate that reflects global standards, local insights, and investor-first values," said Michael Collings, General Manager of GFS Developments.
'With AX's exceptional broker network and digital-first approach, and our deep development expertise and investor trust, we're not just creating a sales channel — we're creating a blueprint for how global real estate should be done in 2025 and beyond.'
With a focus on enhancing investor satisfaction, the partnership introduces advanced tools such as virtual reality walkthroughs and AI chat-based onboarding, as well as legal and ROI calculators tailored to regional investment preferences. The launch of digital investment dashboards will provide German and French investors with seamless access to property information and investment performance metrics.
'At AX Capital, we've always believed that trust is earned at the intersection of performance, transparency, and service," said David James Pugh, Head of Exclusive Developments at AX Capital. "This partnership is built on a shared vision: to take the Dubai real estate experience global, and to make it smarter, simpler, and more performance-driven for investors and brokers alike."
The partnership also featured a special guest appearance by actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who added further prestige to the occasion. His presence emphasized the growing appeal of Dubai real estate among global investors and celebrities alike.
AED400 bn worth transactions
Dubai's real estate market reached an all-time high of AED 400 billion in transactions in 2024, with European markets, particularly France and Germany, showing consistent year-over-year growth. The collaboration between AX Capital and GFS Developments is designed to scale in response to this demand, positioning both companies to capture an increasing share of the lucrative European, Middle Eastern, and South Asian investor market.
Investors from Europe, especially the UK, France, and Germany, continue to be among the most active participants in Dubai's property market, driven by strong returns and a growing interest in mid-market luxury communities. The partnership will offer tailored solutions for these investors through geo-localized services and multilingual support.
In the coming months, AX CAPITAL and GFS Developments will embark on an international roadshow series beginning in July 2025, with events scheduled across the UAE, UK, and France. The roadshows will showcase the developments under the GFS-AX partnership, allowing investors from these regions to explore key projects in Dubai.
Additionally, both companies will open the first-ever GFS x AX Investor Lounge in Dubai, an innovative space designed to enhance the investor experience with live project presentations, legal advisory services, and more.

Vivo V60 to go on sale on August 22 in UAE: Is it worth Dh1,849?
The Vivo V60 lands in the UAE on August 22, 2025, with a price tag of Dh1,849 for 256GB and Dh1,999 for 512GB. Although pre-orders are currently available. The new device by Chinese tech giants positions itself as a mid-range phone with flagship aspirations, boasting a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, 6,500mAh battery, and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 performance. But does it live up to the buzz? We spent a few days testing it out in Dubai, and here's what we found. Design & display Vivo has gone all-in on aesthetics. The quad-curved, almost bezel-free design gives the V60 a premium feel in hand, and the Diamond Shield Glass promises durability. The 6.77-inch AMOLED display is a joy for media consumption. With 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and up to 5,000 nits peak brightness, outdoor readability under the sun is great. That said, the quad-curved edges can sometimes trigger accidental touches, and the fingerprint sensor, embedded under the display, can feel a tad slow compared to some competitors. Camera Vivo's collaboration with ZEISS is the highlight. The 50MP periscope telephoto lens (the only one in this price range) is genuinely impressive as the optical zoom works smoothly, and portraits have noticeable depth. Features like ZEISS Stage Style Portrait and Multifocal Portrait make creative photography accessible. The AI editing suite – AI Erase 3.0, Magic Move, Image Expander – is fun and works surprisingly well, though overuse can make images feel artificial. The front 50MP wide-angle camera captures detailed selfies, even under low light. Where it stumbles is video stabilisation. While still decent, competitors in this segment, handle shaky clips more reliably. Performance & battery Under the hood, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 paired with up to 12+12GB RAM delivers smooth day-to-day performance. Apps, multitasking, and mid-to-heavy gaming run without major hiccups. PUBG and Genshin Impact run at high settings, though extended sessions can warm the phone noticeably. The 6,500mAh BlueVolt battery is a standout. We comfortably got through a day and a half on moderate use. 90W FlashCharge is genuinely fast – a 30-minute top-up gets you over 60 per cent battery. AI Today, artificial intelligence is everywhere. Keeping that in mind, Vivo isn't just pitching this as a photography phone alone. It incorporates AI features like Smart Call Assistant (real-time translations), Meeting Summary, and AI SuperLink, making the device useful for professionals and not lacking. So, is it worth the price tag? In all fairness, a mid-range is required to get the job done. That, Vivo V60 does. But it is also ambitious; its photography capabilities and battery life make it worth checking out. However, there are trade-offs: video stabilisation isn't best-in-class, and some of the AI photography tools could feel gimmicky rather than essential. If your priority is a stylish phone with a capable camera, long battery life, and flagship-style features at mid-range pricing, the V60 definitely deserves a look. At Dh1,849–1,999, it competes well with its competitors in the similar price range, but you'll need to weigh whether the ZEISS-branded photography and other standout features justify the price over similarly specced alternatives. Available in Desert Gold, Mist Gray, and Berry Purple (exclusive on Noon) for Dh1,849 (256GB) and Dh1,999 (512GB). While pre-orders are currently underway, the device goes on sale on August 22 in the UAE.

Instagram rolls out new location sharing, reels features; security concerns raised
Instagram has launched three new major features — Repost, Instagram Map, and the Friends tab — for its users. The Repost feature will help users share others' content with your own followers and friends. The feature will give credit to the original poster. Stay up to date with the latest news. Follow KT on WhatsApp Channels. Instagram Map The 'Instagram Map' feature is reminiscent of a similar feature on Snapchat. With this option, one can share their last active location with a chosen group of friends. The user can see their locations and content they've posted from interesting places. Also, the feature is designed with safety as a priority — parents of supervised teen accounts will be notified if their child turns on location sharing. "Share locations with friends and see what's happening around you on the Instagram map. And if you're a parent with supervision set up for your teen, you have control over whether they can share their location, and who they're sharing with," said Instagram. When the app rolled out the Map feature, it caused a wave of confusion among users who were worried that their locations would be visible to all their followers. Some users have since been shocked to discover that their location was being shared, viral posts have shown. "Mine was turned on and my home address was showing for all of my followers to see," Instagram user Lindsey Bell wrote in reply to a warning posted by "Bachelor" reality television personality Kelley Flanagan to her 300,000 TikTok followers. "Turned it off immediately once I knew but had me feeling absolutely sick about it." In a TikTok video, Flanagan called Instagram's new location sharing feature "dangerous" and gave step-by-step instructions on how to make sure it is turned off. Instagram chief Adam Mosseri fired off a post on Meta-owned Threads stressing that Instagram location sharing is off by default, meaning users need to opt in for it to be active. "Quick Friend Map clarification, your location will only be shared if you decide to share it, and if you do, it can only be shared with a limited group of people you choose," Mosseri wrote. "To start, location sharing is completely off." The feature was added as a way for friends to better connect with one another, sharing posts from "cool spots," Instagram said in a blog post. Users can be selective regarding who they share locations with, and can turn it off whenever they wish, according to Instagram. Friends tab The Friends tab within Reels helps users see what their friends have liked, commented on, or recommended via Blends. Instagram shared these updates through an official blog post, accompanied by a reel from platform chief Adam Mosseri, where he opened up about the new features in detail. All three features are available in the UAE as of this week. According to Meta, the new features are meant to make the app more community focused, and help people connect with their friends.

The rise of female entrepreneurs in the UAE and the role of Decisive Zone in advancing their growth
In the past few years, there's been a noticeable change in the ownership of businesses across the UAE. More women are registering companies in their own name, moving into sectors that were once dominated almost entirely by men. You can see it in the trade license lists and in boardrooms — retail brands run by women, healthcare firms with female CEOs, tech startups pitching for funding with women at the helm. Charlie Patel, founder of Decisive Zone, says the change is easy to see from his side of the desk. His firm handles the mechanics — choosing the right jurisdiction, structuring the company, arranging bank accounts, registering for tax, securing visa, and finding office space. 'We've seen more women going beyond small-scale ideas and setting up with the intention to grow,' he said. 'It's not just about starting — it's about staying in business for years.' Recommended For You People who work in the business setup industry say the proportion of women-owned companies has now passed the ten percent mark in the private sector. That figure has been edging upward for years, and those tracking it expect the climb to continue. Part of the shift is down to regulation. In the UAE, a woman can form and operate a company under her own name with the same recognition and protection as any other owner. The process, according to consultants, is relatively direct compared to some neighbouring markets. Licensing can be wrapped up in days if the paperwork is in order. Programmes like the long-term Golden Visa have also given established founders more confidence to plan ahead and seek investors from outside the country. Getting started, though, isn't always the hardest part. Patel says many of his female clients want help long after the trade license is issued. That might mean negotiating a sponsorship agreement, renewing permits, or staying on top of compliance checks. 'If those things get missed, expansion stalls,' he said. The shift isn't only visible in client rosters. Inside Decisive Zone, several of the most complicated client accounts are now run by women. Patel insists that's happened naturally — those team members were simply the best people for the work. People in the industry expect the share of women-led firms to keep growing. They point to a combination of policy, market demand, and visible success stories. As one adviser put it, the climate is right, the examples are there, and the momentum is building. webteam@
