Eyeing the Tata Harrier EV? Here's what it gets over the Mahindra XEV 9e

The Tata Harrier EV was revealed in near-production guise earlier this year, showing a design that closely follows the Harrier ICE model. Tata Motors has officially introduced its most advanced electric SUV to date—the Tata Harrier EV, with an introductory price tag of ₹ 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Built on the brand's plus EV architecture, this new flagship not only brings a futuristic design and strong performance credentials but also stakes a claim as a segment leader in innovation. Positioned directly against Mahindra's upcoming electric SUV coupe, the XEV 9e, the Harrier EV manages to pack in several key advantages that could tip the scales in its favor. 1 Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive System For the first time in Tata's EV portfolio, the Harrier EV gets a dual-motor setup delivering all-wheel drive capability. The system produces a combined output of 396 PS, with 158 PS from the front motor and 238 PS from the rear, resulting in a total torque of 504 Nm. This not only boosts performance but also adds surefootedness on varying road surfaces. In comparison, the Mahindra XEV 9e is currently offered only with rear-wheel drive, which may limit traction and off-road versatility. 3 Six Terrain Modes for Enhanced Adaptability The Harrier EV offers its drivers six different terrain modes: Normal, Rock Crawl, Mud Ruts, Snow/Grass, Sand, and an option to create one's own setting. That makes the SUV capable of traversing a large variety of road conditions, from city streets to light trails. Conversely, the Mahindra XEV 9e has its package only to three driving modes—Range, Everyday, and Race—optimized more towards performance and economy, with no presetting for specific terrain. 4 Larger 14.5-inch QLED Infotainment Screen The Harrier EV's cabin features a centrally positioned, 14.5-inch QLED touchscreen, designed in association with Samsung. The screen is visually crisp, big, and neatly mounted on the dashboard, contributing to both form and functionality. The Mahindra XEV 9e does have a more futuristic triple-screen configuration, featuring a co-passenger display, but its middle screen is a smaller 12.3 inches. Tata Harrier EV caught your attention? Here's what it gets over Mahindra XEV 9e

Tata Motors has launched its newest most sophisticated electric SUV to date—the Tata Harrier EV at an introductory price of ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Designed on the company's plus EV architecture, this new flagship not only offers a future-age design and robust performance credentials but also claims to be a segment leader in terms of innovation. Positioned directly against Mahindra's upcoming electric SUV coupe, the XEV 9e, the Harrier EV manages to pack in several key advantages that could tip the scales in its favor. ₹ 21.9 - 30.5 Lakhs Offers Expiring soon ₹ 21.49 Lakhs Offers Expiring soon ₹ 21 - 30 Lakhs ₹ 13 Lakhs Onwards ₹ 25 - 30 Lakhs ₹ 17.49 - 22.24 Lakhs Offers Expiring soon For the very first time in Tata's EV portfolio, Harrier EV arrives with a dual motor arrangement bringing all-wheel-drive capabilities on board. The former outputs a cumulative figure of 396 PS with the front motor churning out 158 PS with the rear motor putting out 238 PS. This results in a maximum torque figure of 504 Nm, which does not only increase the performance number but also gives surefootedness on variegated road surfaces. (Also read: Tata Harrier EV launched at ₹21.49 lakh, brings AWD capabilities. Check details) Parking in small parking spaces is easier with the Harrier EV's Summon Mode, which allows one to drive the car forward or in reverse at slow speeds with the key fob. The feature is ideal for small garages or packed parking lots. While both the Harrier EV and XEV 9e have auto park assist, only Tata's electric SUV carries this simple-to-use manual remote maneuvering feature. The Harrier EV provides its users six terrain modes: Normal, Rock Crawl, Mud Ruts, Snow/Grass, Sand, and the ability to make one's own setting. That puts the SUV in a position to take on a wide range of road types, from urban roads to light trails. (Also read: Tata Harrier EV base variant features revealed. Check them out) On the other hand, the Mahindra XEV 9e has its package to only three driving modes—Range, Everyday, and Race—tuned more towards performance and economy with no presetting for particular terrain. The Harrier EV's interior boasts a centrally located, 14.5-inch QLED touchscreen, co-designed with Samsung. The screen is aesthetically sharp, large, and well mounted on the dashboard, adding to both form and function. The Mahindra XEV 9e does boast a more futuristic triple-screen arrangement, including a co-passenger display, but with a smaller middle screen at 12.3 inches. A standout feature of the Harrier EV is the digital inside rearview mirror (IRVM) that takes a live feed from a rear-mounted camera mounted on the sharkfin antenna. The result is an improved, obstructed-free view of the back. Better still, the IRVM has a dashcam built into it, and provides real-time video recording for added security. The XEV 9e features just a standard auto-dimming IRVM, not this dual-purpose feature.

Candice Miller's cryptic post a year after husband's suicide left her $33 million in debt

Influencer Candice Miller has shared her first Instagram post in nearly a year - breaking her lost social media silence after her husband's death by suicide. Miller, who ran the blog 'Mama + Tata' blog, was left saddled with nearly $34 in debt after her husband Brandon Miller took his own life in their sprawling Hamptons estate, reported the New York Post. On Monday night, the former influencer and socialite took to Instagram to share a photograph of the sun setting over the ocean. Accompanying the photograph was a quote by French existentialist philosopher Albert Camus. 'In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there's something stronger – something better, pushing right back,' the mother-of-two captioned the photograph. Candice Miller is the widow of Brandon Miller, the property mogul who took his own life at the age of 43. The couple had two daughters together. She is a popular internet personality who ran the lifestyle mommy-blog 'Mama and Tata' with her sister Jenna Crespi. The Mama and Tata account had roughly 80,000 followers on Instagram. Miller is also the co-founder of the women's wear label Black Iris. In July 2024, Brandon died by suicide in the Hamptons home after secretly accumulating $33.6 million in debt. At the time, his bank account held just around $8,000. At the time of his death, his wife Candice and their two children were vacationing in Italy. Brandon Miller's death sent shockwaves through New York high society, especially since his wife documented their luxurious lifestyle on social media. Her feed was filled with photos from the parties she attended, their opulent homes, $250 private fitness sessions, trips on private planes and more.
